Just finished building them all. I’m not really into brickheadz in general but there was some interesting build techniques and it was just fun to have lord of the rings legos again. They were selling fast at my local store too. Aragorn and Arwen was my favorite build out of this round. Now we just need Rivendell leaks :) .

Same here, plus I need to complete the LOTR sets. I’m going to buy in person though. Whatever it takes to get Lego to bring back LOTR for real :) .

Some Star Wars styled battle packs would be great too :) get some Uruks, Orcs, Gondor Soldiers, Rohirim etc. If lego did that I would be spending too much though between sets and battle packs. That Bree set is excellent I do find it interesting that LOTR resale (specifically mini figs) is top 4 or maybe 5 (Star Wars, Superheroes, HP, LOTR) seem to make up the top 4 resale prices. I would hope that bodes well for Lego to be willing to make LOTR at least a smaller annual wave (5-7 sets) at least for a few years. There is obviously a market for it even if that market is not as large as Star Wars or Superheroes (Marvel/DC) it has to be as big or bigger than many of the other lines that they are currently running.

Would be nice if they were already down the planning path (had molds designed, and some set designs) and could dig up some old plans to shorten turn around times because those would be great sets as well. I am a little disappointed we didn't see any summer wave rumors but given the ROP tie in (and language on lego.com LOTR page) I am hopeful we will actually see sets in Fall or early next year. Lego would at least get more money by releasing this year, my hobby money is currently set aside for lego but without more LOTR sets it will get diverted to my other hobbies (minus the Brickheadz and Rivendell).

I would be good with that list (would that be the Party tree and tent with fireworks or actual Bag end (like the hobbit set)? That would also be a cool set idea with the dragon fireworks and some extra hobbits with the party tree/ tent/ tables). I would even buy the ROP sets just to keep the LOTR original Trilogy going (some other ROP ideas could be the forge, a numenor ship, snow troll battle, rock breaking competition). I am pro keeping ROP limited though so we can get some of the sets and Minifigures we are missing from the original. Would you rather have another weather top or a fords of bruinen or Bree encounter to get some more ringwraiths? Just curious as to everyone's thoughts here. I thought the old weather top set was about as good of a playlet as they could do without doing a more expensive version (thinking over $100 to really improve it). My personal vote would be prancing pony or fords, however, I also have all of the original sets so am biased that way. Also I know someone floated the idea of a CMF which would be excellent, that seems like the least likely (but coolest) thing they could do.

I am concerned about that too. I am fine if they do Amazon show ones (as it might be a reason to bring back the theme with play sets) but I would hope that they are a much smaller amount like the Fantastic beasts sets vs. Harry Potter sets so they do not compete against LOTR trilogy sets for sales. I am more confident they will bring back more sets after seeing the banner in the LOTR page in Lego.com, but with the Rings of Power language included I would think we will see ones from the show. It would be nice for some more set numbers to leak (given all the other ones leaking now for a summer wave). I am hoping for at least a fall release like Avatar got this year (would love to see some more leaks that there will at least be sets, not sure how it benefits lego to hold off on leaking some more information that there will be future sets for LOTR even if we don't get all the details).

First Post, I am very excited about the return of LOTR, would love new sets vs. brickheadz to start. (I bought all of the original sets back in the day). I am hoping the D2C is minifig scale but will be fine with micro scale so long as it is being treated like the return of Harry Potter sets back in the day as a precursor to regular sets. Ideally we would have an evergreen theme, however, I would at least be happy with a year dedicated to each movie of play sets. (I also like the CMF idea). I will be buying all of the upcoming sets day one to show that there is demand for LOTR despite them not being the ideal launch products. I have seen a few videos and posts (in other places) hoping for remakes of many of the sets that we already had. While I am not opposed to any of these being remade I would prefer new locations that were not explored. In keeping with the Harry Potter relaunch, I would love one movie each year for (at least) three years that would look like the following. - Year 1 (Fellowship) Icon Rivendell, ($120) Moria Gates/Watcher with Fellowship minifigs (minus Boromir), (100) Prancing Pony with Sam Frodo, Keeper, Aragorn, Wraiths, (80) Fords of Bruinen with Frodo/Arwen/3 wraiths, (50-60) Balrog/Gandalf, (30-40) Lorien Throne Room with Galadriel, Celeborn, Elf Guard, (25) Battle Pack - Moria Orcs and a cave troll, (10-15) Amon Hen Ambush w/ Boromir/Uruk. ---- Year 2 (Two Towers). UCS Barad Sure (scaled to Orthanc. w/ Sauron and other minifigs) - (120-150) Edoras w/ Theoden/ 2 Rohan Guards/ Eoyen / Gandalf the white/ Wormtonge/ Legolas/ Gimli. (10-15) Signal Fire - Two Gondor soldiers with tower (maybe pippen with Gondor outfit). Obviously tons of options, I just like something like this where it covers all of the films well, we would get army building options but still have iconic scenes and some large sets.
