Well, let's get this thing rolling again then! Here is the next breath-taking entry in the epic first chapter of this amazing game! As they ran, Jim Butcher explained Moda Annix and Oky Wan Kenobi that he had been pursuing the buyer from an illegal drug deal, but that one of his best men had taken over that mission a minute ago. With the apparent back-up from the seperatists, this druglord had killed the seller and opened fire on Butcher and his team. Now, he told them, it was his job to solve the mystery of who was behind all this and why this buyer was being supported by the CIS. Jim: "... so if we want to investigate this, we need to get out of here!" But when they reached the end of the alley they were going through, they ended up at a dead end: The alley opened into a small courtyard where a bunch of Shock Troopers were fighting the snipers who were previously shooting at Butcher and who now had joined forces on one of the roof tops! If the trio wanted to walk out of this industrial section, they would need to somehow pass by this battle! Moda: "Well, looks like we're not going anywhere with this battle going on in the middle of the only way outta here! Any suggestions?" Oky Wan: "I have an idea! My ship is parked right outside this industrial section! I could call my astromech and command him to fly it in here so that we can escape in it!" Excitedly, Oky Wan took out his intercom and activated it. Oky Wan: "R4, do you copy. R4! R4, do you read me? Hello?" But there was no confirmative whistling coming out of the intercom. Oky Wan: "Damn! That EMP from before must have effected my astromech as well as the battle droids! I fear we are stuck here!" Moda: "So much for that idea. What now?" Oky Wan thought intensively. There it was, his chance to show the Republic his support, and there was nothing he could do! Or was there? As he looked around for a solution to their problem, he noticed a couple of fuel tanks in front of the building the snipers stood on... Oky Wan: "Guys, I have another idea! Jim, tell the clones to aim for the fuel tanks below the drug dealers!" Butcher did as Oky Wan had recommended him, and the clones followed his command, concentrating all their fire on the fuel tanks. KA-BOOM!!! There was a big explosion that disintegrated about half of the building's wall, resulting in its complete collapse! The battle was over! Jim, Moda, Oky Wan, and the clones came out of their hiding spots. After they approached the wreckage of the house and reasured themselves that the situation was safe, Butcher ordered the Shock Troopers to "clean up the mess" and see if the drug dealers were still alive and in condition to be questioned. They were just about to leave, when suddenly the hover transport with the gunner appeared around a corner and opened fire on the them... Well, I hope that will get things going again! So, JimButcher and Vaders_son, we are being shot at, so you need to react quickly or we're all going to die! As for the other players, come on! Get into the action, too, or this game might end up getting cancelled! But most importantly, have fun! That's what this game is about! BTW, if you should not have a Harry Potter head for my character, you can use the Doctor's head from the new city line instead!

Pagong, hands down! Very well done minifig designs and interesting background stories! The characters of Tribe 2 just all kind of look alike and we don't know much about them. This sounds promissing, I'm looking forward to this! Lego Lost ON!
-
Sweeet! Didn't notice those! We should update the LEGO Theatre banner to feature at least one of these! Thanks for the find!

Idk, I'm a big sci-fi fan, so I would love a space related contest but I'm not a big fan of the classic space lego theme. So can't we have a just generally space themed contest like moon base modules or something? That would be great! The movie contest idea was also good, as I mentioned before, I think. But let's just have some kind of contest, and let's have it soon! I'm having a contest deficit!
-
Wow... That... looks... uncomfortable. Hehe! Nice job! This would have been a great entry for the "Build the Chamber Contest"!

Don't know if any of those are new, but here are some interesting gameplay and cutscene/movie comparision vids: Lego Indiana Jones - Yahoo! Games

Agents Mission 5: Turbo Car Chase - set #8634
Oky replied to Deinonychus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
WOW! Thanks, Deino, for this great review! I can't wait to get this myself, but right now I gotta save for the CW sets! The car is with no doubt one of the most mind blowing things TLG has come up with and we can only hope that there will be more models made out of almost only metalic colors! The spider cyborg, while not as innovative as some of the other cyborgs, is a very nice fig, and his head will be very usefull for Splinter Cell MOCs! And those intake pieces are only relatively new btw, they are in almost all of the current $10 Racers sets. Any chance of you taking a pic of a line-up of all the silver parts in this set? -
YESSS!!! Thanks, dude, you're the best!
-
Yes, I know those, thanks anyway, but sometimes those are not enough, you know!
-
Yes, and... Yes! Unfortunately, the only Obi I ever got was the one from Bounty Hunter Pursuit but after I put the two figs together, I thought the same thing, that Anakin's fleshieness makes him look pale and thereby evil, weak, and overal kind of inferior to Obi Wan, which is a good thing! So, I just kept it this way!

Thanks for the compliments, and thank you, Asuka, for the Lightsaber Sound Cookbook link! And, yes, Tiny Turbo #8150 "ZX-Turbo" is the only current set the GITDLSs come in, but I think there will be another Tiny Turbo with the set number 7613 that will have them too. This is the one I'm talking about:
-
Wow! Thanks, captmaarek, those look great! Slave Leia looks like a perfect adaption to the animated style! But I fear that you missed the point: I wanted to see Katara's head with Leia's cinnamon-bun hair do on it. So, would it be too much to ask of you to take the first and last picture again with the signature Leia hair? Pretty Please?
-
I don't know why anybody else hasn't thought of this before (or at least hasn't posted anything about it), but here it is: the most obvious use of the glow-in-the-dark sticks from Tiny Turbo #8150 "ZX-Turbo"... Glow-In-The-Dark Lightsabers! They are way more practical than Light-Up-Lightsabers, but don't look as well at day-light; they just are this colorless, milky, not really transparent color. But it's just really cool to equip some of your SW figs on display with some of those and seeing them wield actually glowing sabers after you turn off the light in your room! Here are some pics of Yoda in different tones of darkness, holding a GITDLS. And here are some pics of my Mustafar Duel Vig with GITDLSs! Pretty sweet, huh? I think, I will update my Mustafar vig to feature a transparent floor with a Light-Brick underneath it so that the Lava can glow too! Any comments, ideas, or requests?
-
This is a Mustafar Duel vig I made once just to have something to display my Episode 3 Obi Wan & Anakin figs in a somewhat interesting way. Feel free to comment, but you don't have to, if you don't want to.

Naaah. I think that is too far fetched. That is just a general movie plot cliche if at all. It would have to be like this to be a Star Wars reference: Marion: "Indy, Mutt never told you whose son he really is!" Indy: "He told me enough! He told me he never finished school!!!" Marion: "No, Indy, YOU are his father!" Indy: "Nooooh! That's not true! That's intolerable!" Marion: "Search your feelings! You know it to be true!" etc, etc.... Get it? "Intolerable"? Like Indy says in the movie as a reference to his own father! He says "Junior" a couple of times, too, but I didn't know how to build that in there.
-
WOW! I haven't seen that before! Thanks for the pic, Lego Freak! Sweet, looks like we'll be getting a glow-in-the-dark octopus and some nice window pieces with this one, plus lots more dark blue slope parts! If only there were some pics of the Volcano Base now... BTW, when are these gonna be out?

I am not sure what you are talking about, Jim, but here is what I know: There was the old chess set (which was a big, beautiful BP to me when I got it for half the price ) and now there is the Giant Chess set (if you have that kind of money )! Also, there are 2 BPs - one crownies, one skellies. Currently, there is only one Castle Impulse set called "The Knight" available in the US. The rest of the world has impulse wave 2 which includes "The Good Wizard" and Australia just got wave 3 which has a troll impulse set. Don't ask me why it is this way, I know it's unfair! But I am sure we'll get them eventually, so you might want to save some of that money! And don't forget the CW sets coming at the end of July! That's what I'm saving for right now! Seeing more awesome armies ON!

Oh yeah, I remember that now! That was Indy! LOL! As for the other films, the plane (as you can see in the set) Indy escapes with at the beginning of "Raiders" was called "OB-CPO" as in "Obi (Wan Kenobi) & C-3PO" and I am pretty sure that the name of a night club that Indy & the gang drive by in the beginning of "Temple" was something including the words "Obi Wan". If anyone has a link to a complete list of SW references in Indy movies, can you please post it? Thanks!
-
One thing that you can see throughout all Indy movies are those neat hidden Star Wars references. But whatching the new one, Kingdom of the Chrystal Skull, I didn't notice any. Have you seen them, or are there any at all? Edit by Hinckley: This thread contains movie spoilers! Read at your own risk!
-
It would be perfect if you could incoorporate it into some sort of diorama and post it here!
-
I totally agree! I just came back from seeing the movie and felt like starting a thread like this myself, so thank you, Flatfoot Thompson! Sadly, the scenery of the sets don't have anything to do with those of the movie! The big question here is "Why, TLC?" The sets would have been just as good in the context of the movie! But as "Jungle Duel", the only one that I got and ever will get, is one of the best affordable parts packs I have seen in years, I'm not gonna complain! Getting a chrystal skull with it would have been great though...
-
Very nice Crownie armies, guys! Keep 'em coming! Damn, Metalandi, you have pretty much every set out there, don't you? I have the chess set, a crossbow attack, a skellie carriage, a mine defender, a troll battle wagon, and some old skellies from Classic Castle and Adventures. As I said, if I have some time these days, I'll make a diorama and take some pics of them! Btw, I have some questions: has anybody figured out yet what the difference is between black and white skellies? And when is the Good Wizard finally coming to the US?? The Aussies already have wave 3 of the impulse sets and I want that wizard so badly! Anyway, back on topic, good job, and keep those armies coming!

New Line of Impulse sets available S@H
Oky replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Aw Maaan! They are not available for the US! When are we gonna get all those neat impulse sets? I really want that Good Wiz! -
I don't know if this has been done before here or somewhere else, but I thought it could be fun! Just post some pics of your Castle army. You can include old skellies in there too! The best way to do this is always in some kind of diorama! So, let's see some armies! :skull: I might post mine soon as well!
