  1. That's fine, KDM, we understand. We're just glad there's somebody to adjudicate for us. Round 2 DS sent.
  2. Mr. Freeze's Lab This is Mr. Freeze's secret lab where he relentlessly tries to cure his terminally ill wife Nora who he has put into cryogenic freezer in order to put her into suspended animation until he finds the cure. Here is his wife, Nora Fries, resting frozen in her cryogenic tube. A front view where you can see Freeze's workstation and the equipment that's keeping Nora alive. A side view that shows some pipes and some kind of generator. Top view: "This is how I'll always remember you. Surrounded by winter, forever young, forever beautiful." "Rest well, my love. We shall soon be together again. Soon..." You can find all the images in this brickshelf folder. I hope you like it.
  3. Really? No comments? I know it's too late to do revisions, but I'd still really like to know what you all think of this creation as I worked quite hard on it.
  4. Yay! I've been waiting for this! Interesting new Category B, but I don't think I'll enter as I'm not much of a customizer. I might have been more inclined to enter if it weren't for this rule: May I ask why this has been added? If normal decals and digital backgrounds are allowed, why can't we apply the decals virtually? It would make it much more appealing to participate for purists like me. Yeah, same here. It would have been an interesting challenge and could have spawned some very imaginative entries, but oh well.
  5. Great! So who'd like to adjudicate? CoughKDMcough
  6. I think the best that have right now is the one from Brickset:
  7. Uhm, no, he dies at the Battle of Hogwarts, hence his appearance in that set. You must be thinking of Mad-Eye Moody.
  8. FBTB reports all the details about this promotion. Apparently the sets on sale are Tantive IV, Dropship, and Obi Wan's JSF at 20% off and Swamp Speeder, AT-AT, and Cad Bane's Speeder at 10% off. Ho-hum if you ask me. I expected a bit more savings. And this is the poster you can get:
  9. FBTB reports that some of the sets are available on Amazon.com, but they list as "currently unavailable" to me.
  10. Thanks for the comments so far everyone. Sorry for the delay, but I have updated the first post with the other pics now, so please check it out and let me know what you think!
  11. Thanks again, everyone. Of course not. It was "only" $70. And it's not a complete costume. I don't have the beard. And I only wear it on Halloween, so shut up. Sheesh, and they call me nerdy. What I meant by "original" is that it is the one I based my own animation on. Then go watch a SAW movie. These are just fun little side creations that we do, not serious MOCs. We don't have time to do anything more elaborate, so it's more about creativity than about how good the MOCs are. Yes, Jammie promised me he'll have something up very soon.
  12. Here's the link. The number is unfortunately too small to make out whether it's a 6 or an 8 after the 1.
  13. Sorry if I sounded harsh. I was just joking, that's all. Again, I meant no offense and think that this is a nice creation, just not necessarily for this contest.
  14. Wow! Awesome! Best entry EVER! You'll definitely win with this one! Seriously, I hope this is a joke. Not only did you enter this too late, but it looks like you threw it together at the last minute. A D2C impulse set doesn't even make sense in my opinion. No offense. That said, this is a funny little scene. But I think it would be better if the girl was holding the key with the shark on it. Good luck in the contest. You'll need it.
  15. Prof. Archibald Hale's Adventure Journal September 2, 1924: After traveling through the desert for over a week, fighting undead mummies and giant mystical monsters, we had finally gathered all the six magical treasures of Amset Ra! However, the pharaoh mysteriously disappeared after our last battle, and last night his servants snuck into our camp and stole the treasures! Luckily those clumsy goons dropped a map that leads to the location where they are bringing the treasures! Undoubtedly, Amset Ra will be waiting for them there, preparing to take over the world. We must get there before it's too late! I have already called in an airplane to transport us there immediately. September 3, 1924: We have arrived at the "X" on the map. It turns out to be the legendary Temple of Anubis! It is located near a bend of the Nile and it's a breathtaking sight! We have set up camp right outside the temple and have already begun excavations. We found lots of treasure buried underneath the sand, so I can only imagine what we will find inside the temple itself! We are now making preparations to enter it. If the legends are true, we will need all our wits and strength if we are to survive the temple's traps and stop Amset Ra in time to save the world! Temple of Anubis This large Direct-to-Customer set has tons of play features! It comes with a seaplane, a motorcycle, a camel, and a crocodile, and includes the minifigs Jake Raines, Helena Skvalling, Prof. Archibald Hale, Amset Ra, Rejuvenated Amset Ra, two mummy warrior, two flying mummies, two Anubis Guards, a skeleton, a pilot, and three workers! The temple has an open back and the roof and second floor can be taken off for easy play inside! Before the adventurers can enter the temple, they must face the two giant Anubis statues by the entrance which come to life! Once the statues are defeated, you can open the door by twisting one of the knobs next to it. The walls of the entrance chamber close in on the intruders and will squish them unless they find the secret swivel door! If they survive that, they must find the key that will activate a mechanism that causes a staircase to fold out from a wall and lead up to the main chamber above! But watch out, the key is booby trapped and guarded by Anubis Guardians! If you pull a pin on the outside, an axe will swing down in front of the key! In the main room of the temple, Amset Ra has gathered the six magic treasures around the giant Anubis bust (whose eyes can light up!) and is preparing to harness their power! The only chance for the adventurers to stop him is for the Professor to arrange the tiles in the center of the room into a particular pattern with each of the symbols in their correct corner, while the other two fight off the pharaoh's undead warriors! If they fail to solve the sliding puzzle in time, The pharaoh will use the power of the treasures to rejuvenate himself and become more powerful than ever! The shelves on both sides of the room are filled with various valuables and there's a bowl full of gold pieces, but beware! With the pull of a pin on the outside of the temple, anyone who approaches the golden bowl will fall into a spike pit below! The seaplane is based on the Grumman Amphibious aircraft and can open up to seat minifigs inside. It also has an opening door. Please check out the other pics in this brickshelf folder to see all of the features of this amazing set!
  16. Indeed, but I would leave out the "free style" category. Just have three categories: Small, Medium, and Large.
  17. Looks fun. Looking forward to it. How are you guys liking Transformers Prime by the way? While it's not as good as Animated, I think it's pretty good. I like how they tried to combine the best from everything.
  18. Yay! I hope you let me keep this win, KDM. Nice duel, CK. CM, when you're done with CT, would you like to duel me? @ KDM: You should have written something like: "Suddenly Ollivander realized that he had no chance against the Hufflepuff, so he turned around and ran as fast as his short legs could carry him, declaring Frankfurt the automatic winner."
  19. Good ones, Big Brick! Sorry, but I don't think those were all that funny. The first one is kind of a groaner (Zombie Gunner = Clone Gunner), the second one is an old joke, and the third one isn't funny, it's just a fact - The old Clone Wars cartoon rocks! Nice try though. Thanks. I'll try to come up with some more. By the way, your last one was pretty good. It's more of a MOC than a funny though, so I think it deserves its own thread.
  20. The website is up, but there isn't really anything there yet. Click the pic to get to it: As for the fig being available at TRU, they wont have the same promotion, but they might sell the fig at some point anyway. They have had the chrome figs in the past after all.
  21. Sweet, thanks for that! Escape At Sea looks neat, and the Big Ben looks pretty good too, even though it has a very JackStone-ish <insert that tiresome argument> feel to it. How did you know?! I already mentioned that a page ago. And some TTs actually did utilize SNOT. Agreed, even though Flo's Cafe is pretty good too with all the characters that it contains. Not all of them. Some have a flag or flick missile or magnifying glass.
  22. Nice job again, The Penguin! I knew you still had it in ya! These are all pretty good. Freeze certainly looks interesting, even though this is not my favorite version of him. How you managed to paint the entire helmet is a mystery to me. But Cherie is definitely "the cherry on the pie". She's just gorgeous! Keep up the great work!
  23. Darn. Oh well, I guess that's fair. Thanks for adjudicating. Round 1 DS sent.
  24. Only a select few can, including Iroh, Zuko, Azula, and Aang. And no, it's not called lightning bending, it's just a different form of firebending.
