  1. Awesome! Ever since Lego acquired the Disney license, I've been hoping this would happen. Sure, this doesn't confirm anything, but it's a nice rumor nevertheless. Let's just hope TLG does the smart thing and goes the System route rather than taking the Ben 10 approach of buildable heroes (even though I wouldn't mind that either, but minifigs are just always better ). Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go daydreaming about an official Iron Man and Nick Fury minifig...
  2. Thanks for the nice review. Having recently gotten the castle and considering the minifigs this set comes with, this is a must-buy for me now. It's far from being the great set it could have been, but it's still a nice playset and a nice addition to the castle. I'm still confused about what the globe is supposed to represent though. Is it a galaxy or something? Because it says so on S@H, and I guess it makes sense. It's just a different form of the RoR. But yeah, if you put it side-by-side with the castle, it becomes kinda odd.
  3. Hm, that turned out better than I expected. Some useful pieces in there. That ATV is pretty neat, especially with that printed tile, and so is that little shrine/gate thing. Still probably wont get it though. Too many awesome sets to get this year... again.
  4. Oh, I totally forgot one: Pinky and the Brain!! Yes, that was a pretty good intro, but personally, I like the Batman Beyond one better.
  5. I see. Thanks. OK, just making sure. Here's the bricklink link. It's in the Ninjago fortress and the new police station, both of which have been available since January. Uhm, Hinckley?
  6. Interesting question. Well, I love the opening sequences of pretty much every single Disney cartoon series there has ever been. From Ducktales, TaleSpin, and Rescue Rangers to Kim Possible and Phineas & Ferb, they're all great. Other cartoons that have great intros are The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and The Spectacular Spider Man... which are technically Disney too. I also like the intro of Desperate Housewives. Not that I watch that show.
  7. Ah, you finally got it done! Picking on my obesity again, eh? Funny and well-built scene though. I'm surprised that you didn't surround your sigfig with women on this one. Hm, I guess it's my turn now... Let's see what I can come up with.
  8. For category B, can we have extra minifigs to populate our vignette? And does the no-S4-figs rule apply only on the custom minifigs or on the vignette and extra figs too? Can we use the werewolf's bone? That piece has been available a little bit before S4. By the way, I just realized the cleverness of the title pic and its caption! Fourget - very clever. Who made that pic?
  9. Yes, and it's for pre-order on S@H too for the same price.
  10. Hehe, looks like we both did a good job at predicting the other's moves. And none of us has even taken Divination. Good job, but I guess I was a bit luckier. And yeah, better luck next time. Yay! Now I can finally have my kitty! Thanks again for adjudicating, CM, despite your condition.
  11. In order to carry out Darth Vader's dark deeds, Starkiller, Vader's secret apprentice, had a custom speederbike made for him. It had extra powerful engines and an aerodynamic design, making it one of the empire's fastest speederbikes. It featured spikes, a leather seat, and an overall black color scheme to suit Starkiller's style and strike fear into his enemies. All images can be found in this Brickshelf folder. Feedback welcome.
  12. Great! Let's do this! Thanks! DS sent!
  13. Cute little Spongebob scene. But what's with the second rotated base? Don't you know? Water is air.
  14. That is just too cool! There have been other lego-fied trailers before, but this one is spectacular! The animation is superb, from the wheel poses to the facial expressions, and the whole thing looks exactly like the real trailer! Hats off to whoever worked on this. I just have one question... WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THEY MAKE ANYTHING LIKE THIS FOR TOY STORY??
  15. Thanks, everyone. Glad you liked it. I've never seen TLG attach lightsabers like that. OK, here are some more from me, but they're kind of groaners. "The coffee is strong in this one." Darth Vader likes his coffee like he likes his appearance: tall, black, and strong.
  16. Yes, I'm pretty sure they wont delete your account, just the picture if anything.
  17. Damn, so close. Oh well. Congrats, CM! So, how about it, CK?
  18. Glad to see that Cloney and others have been keeping this thread alive with their groaners. Sorry I haven't been active here lately. I've been busy and also, I kinda ran out of ideas. But now I found some time and inspiration again, so without further ado, here you go: Let's see if you can guess the title of this next one. Guido shot first.
  19. @ Leg Godt Gud: Where and how do you keep winning those sets?
  20. I got Flo's V8 Cafe, Tokyo Pit Stop, and the Girl Magnet Set, all for just $68 thanks to my VIP card and Disneyland Annual Pass! Will be working on some reviews very soon.
  21. Thanks, KDM, you're the best! DS sent!
  22. Yeah, those display cases have been mentioned before and are not from TLC. There are a lot of other figs missing, so obviously you're supposed to buy multiples of these cases. This is just an example.
  23. If you adjudicate for me and CM I'll duel you afterward if you like.
  24. Wow! Great idea for an entry and a nice twist on Mace's Vulture Droid hijacking from the '03 CW series! Some nice detail and posing on that droid! Good luck!
  25. Interesting concept of making a vignette with a play function, but "playground" isn't the best way to describe it, I think. Also, I agree that the wall could benefit from some more details, but other than that, it's a nice scene. And the last pic sure is a nice bonus, but I don't see any animation.
