  2. Nice details. i like it! also the color is fine. I checked what colors would be possible for this car. And started with the wheel arches. If we stay with lego, we only have 6 colors to choose from (dark azure, lime, orange, red, lbg and white). What a shame for TLG! 'cause a dark blue version of the BMW would also be nice. I thought the same. But i'm a very tiny little bit more serious about that. .... What if you add a 41669 Bionicle Tooth to the c-pillar to mimic this design element?

Is it parts count? overall size? number and complexity of functions? parts value? ...You can use a lot of parts and have a mid sized MOC. You can use a few liftarms and you MOC becomes huge relatively easy. Or people with to much money could try to impress others with the newest and/or most expensive parts. That's really meant as a question. How do we define large? Because we have to define it, before we are able to quantify a limit - if we decide that we want a limit. Am i wrong?
  4. Why not building something that walks with legs and has steering a.k.a can change direction. And people can decide on there own if they build animals (f.e. insects) or technical robots like toilet cleaning caterpillars (to pick up the toilet thingy) or diesel punk vehicles with mechanical stuff on top, for the hard core constructors? Edit: Oh i forgot to mention walking Star Wars Tanks(?) as an option, are they called tanks? Definitely not - but you know what i mean. Edit2: corrected pillar to caterpillar.

  7. Great fun to watch. i just wonder why you use 4 boat hulls in parallel and not two rows of two hulls. So the ends of two hulls are put together with pins. This would give a much more stable support surface.
  8. I like how put so much attention to details and then left out the handrails on both cars (a detail that never works for me on builds). Are there any stability issues with the "backbone" of the TH551i Truck? It looks super fragile behind the steering.

  12. This spiffy tiny Trial Truck has springless suspension following @Superkoala's idea mounting two linked pendular axles to the car. To fit in all features (steering and suspension), the horizontal steering axle had to be used as mounting point for the front axle.   17. Another advanced one is the Motorcycle carrying an engine in its sidecar. The front wheel is steered via virtual pivot point steering. And the sidecar wheel is connected to it. This mock up is meant to show the principle. i've tested it in a much wider (9 studs) build. @stevendejong What could be interesting for you is the steering knob. thanks for the calculation In my larger build i used the L-shaped 4x2 Liftarm. This image is just a quick mock up, as i wrote.

Another approach with ackermann (untested mock up) It builds up pretty high It needs some explanation: I have wanted to introduce this modification of the virtual pivot steering to you for quite a while. Now I think it fits, because the topic is being discussed again and my version brings some useful improvements. So I quickly clicked together a 4 stud wide version. One improvement is the "Ackermann mimicry", which is easily realized by moving the front pivot pin further forward. The other is the possibility of a knob control. In the example picture this is indicated by the long black axle with white angled liftarm, which pushes on the extended steering arm (light blue 5 lift arm) via a the orange liftarm.   21. A number of smart ideas have been incorporated. For example, the hinges for the back doors. <Joking mode on> The wheels are nice and wide. Good that there were already first tuning attempts in 1928. <Joking mode off> No seriously - This is a really nice and well designed model.
