  1. It does exist. BAM However, it's nothing like the bins in stores, at least not yet. It's like 15 different possible torsos and legs and heads.
  2. Having just searched for it, I remember this! It was the first time I ever saw a fully tiled floor and so many details, and it blew my mind. I do appreciate that Lego at least made modular wall sections. I have a MOC'd version of Guarded Inn next to Armor Shop next to the Blacksmith, and they all fit together nicely. I assume some of the other wall sets also fit. My big gripe is that 6059 Knight's Stronghold does not attach in front of 6085 Black Monarch's Castle as a guardhouse. Even more annoyingly, 6059 is on plates while 6085 is on a baseplate. I still can't reconcile those two, so I'll have to build 6059 on a smaller baseplate in front.
  3. I would be curious to see how Lego has their databases set up. There doesn't seem to be a consistent way to describe them, and there's no "spec sheet" as it were, outside of the bricks guides at the back of the instructions. I have no idea how these show minifigs/skeletons though, since I haven't opened a set with a skeleton since before they started including the brick counts.
  4. Lego has considered skeletons as minifigs going back to the mid 90s. Wolfpack Tower shows as having 4 minifigs, and the ghost is included right at the front of the instructions with the 3 humans. Edit: the copy for the 3-in-1 castle says 3. Must be another area where TLG is not consistent. :|
  5. Is the wizard still available at BAM, and is that only in stores or online as well?
  6. I try to use different legs for each type. Foot soldiers have black, archers have blue, something like that. Helms are great if I can do it, but as y'all have mentioned, they aren't the most common in bullet style. I just checked and I currently have 2 bullet helms not in use, both in grey. That said, I have 0 conical helms, so maybe that says something.
  7. Some spare legs from my collection and a grey/white hairpiece will easily turn the wizard into another civilian. I have plenty of Majistos from the Magic Shop to use, and I can take the walking stick with gem for him.
  8. I at some point managed to pick up a handful of minifigs from Kingdoms Joust, so I'll use this queen. I don't have her diadem, but I do have the king's crown from same set, so she works well that way. I gave her a jeweled scepter that I think makes for nice royal decrees. The princess and nobleman should also fit into the 90th scene well too, maybe have them as visitors or something. I could make a nice royal carriage as I do have one of the war horses with barding that could guard it.
  9. These are the details that make me love this even more.
  10. I have a fondness for the raised baseplates; Eldorado and Imperial Trading Post, King's Mountain Fortress, even the Aquanauts base. I have not yet acquired 6086 but have all of the others mentioned. 6086 is so big, has more details than some earlier castles, has the half-timbering, the best horse barding colors, so many knights with varying pieces, and a ghost. The side and back walls can stand to be upgraded a level, but that's not too hard if you have some other castle pieces. That said, I dislike having to be careful with the raised baseplates. They're all around 30 years old now and while I haven't broken any yet, it's not fun. The 90th is just so great looking, has so many interior details, tons of play functions, three factions, barding, even the damn box looks right. Lego knocked it out of the park.
  11. It was in a Nexo set and Sanctum Santorum in 2018, and a handful of sets per year in years prior.
  12. Bricklink says it ended production in 2018 (or at least the sets that have it came out in 2018? Not sure how that works.) so it might be gone.
  13. Yeah, it's not the most user-friendly. I wish you could filter by theme, which isn't a guarantee but it would narrow a lot of things down. Either way, it does seem better than the old PAB, and I'm glad most of the important torsos and legs are there. I expect once things are fairly in stock, I'll do a big world-building order of civilians and a handful of each of the faction soldiers. I do have quite a selection of vintage minifigs to use as well; they will eventually fill out the big scene that will encompass the 90th castle, though I don't know where I'll put my Black Monarch's Castle or the King's Mountain Fortress in relation.
  14. Hmm, the search doesn't seem to filter, but I can go by sub-category. I see the Falcon legs right now, along with some helmets and hair and such. I'll have to learn how to refine those results; I've noticed Lego's IT and development teams could use a bit of help with their site tools.
  15. I have some of the new falcons from the replacement parts for the blacksmith, but I haven't been to a physical store in a long time. Do they have these pieces there? Or if they are on the site, where would one find them? I've seen the Build A Minifig but that has super limited parts. And I want a lot of the civilians, since those were sadly missing. I've often repurposed Majisto torsos and matched them to different legs and used different hair pieces, but that only takes one so far if you're using vintage minifigs.
  16. This is how I must have ended up with so many of the red/yellow classic lion bardings! Honestly, a yellow-box 5 minifig pack for $10-15 would hit me in the feels so hard. Please Lego!
  17. LOL at all these woke complaints. If anything, in a world where males fight and die in the wars, there should be more female figures. If this bothers you, swap the heads instead of complaining weirdly about it.
  18. Having been away this weekend, firstly...I NEED THIS. I've been collecting castle and Lego since the early 90s (missed the 00s though), and heavily so in the past few years. It's always been amazing to get old castles, the minifigs are great, but having only the 3-in-1 and blacksmith felt good but not great. This, however, is just incredible. I love every bit of it. I love the throwback to the yellow castle, the old shield designs, the horse barding in the rarer colors (I have way too many yellow/red), the black sword (throwback to the armor shop), the closing helms, the breastplates, 3 factions represented, amazing play functions, more details inside the rooms, ladders (sometimes) to get around, the cloth flags and that cape(!), a variety of civilians, the thatched roof and half-timbering. It's all just so damn good. I will buy one early, and maybe another with 2xVIP later on. I love the female representation; female-presenting figs were SO rare back in the day, at least in castle garb. King's Mountain Fortress, Knights Challenge, Forestmen's Crossing, and that's basically it until the 2000s I think. It's easy to change if you care, and it just feels so much better. What I am hoping for: some battle packs OR a redo of the classic 5 or 6 minifig packs. We have falcons, lion knights, and forestmen factions now, so 1 of each plus a civilian and civilian child would be awesome. Or even a squire type figure. Plus some spare weapons, shields, and flags. I'd even take a medieval line of CMFs, especially if one came with a cloth falcon flag. While a new line of castle would be great, as someone else mentioned, just doing a classic remake every few years would make me (and my wallet) really happy. Barracuda Bay, the 3-in-1 for pirates and castle, this, the new Galaxy Explorer, these are all fantastic. I'd go nuts for a redo of Eldorado or the Trading Post to compliment PoBB, and then a remake of a Black Knights castle. Even a non-raised baseplate Eldorado could be 3-in-1'd to allow for building things like Lagoon Lockup, Sabre Island, and Broadside's Brig, and potentially all at the same time. That way 2xEldorado would get you basically an entire line (minus a big ship) of Imperial sets. I understand that the chances of Islanders coming back is basically nil, for good reason. Anyway, my thoughts can be summed up as such: YAYYYYYYY CASTLE!
  19. Lego's site said "one per household" so I'm curious to see how that plays out. My partner got up early to order and get one, and I did later in the day. My order shows it, but I suppose when boxes arrive, we'll know.
