[BDP-9] The Solar Express: The Tilting Train
Darkkostas25 replied to damangos's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nice idea for BDP! Love IT! -
Astounding details on both trains (sets)!

Coupling is the main problem. I changed from pegs to bars and a thin Technik plate 1x2 with cros/axel holes, which gives more flexibility and makes the gap smaller from 4 to 2+ std Nice colour scheme, sadly, that second mid-section was scrapped due to rolling resistance

Hmm, I think it could work for some narrow environment where the width is limited and you need to use height. Clever design

Yeah, themed trains are the best! And yeah, firefighters train, and others exist, and in the city`s line themes (with construction sites), and it could bring more fun to the trains :)
-
Yeah, I`ll try. I was using parts only available in the BDP palette of that time.

Sadly, TLG always shows all models on the front of the box. C yeah, it's kinda bummer, but as I guess/ they compensate with side builds

I’ve been assigned the task of creating an accurate model of a well-known passenger locomotive used in my country for TrainDay. After much effort, they are finally here—proudly showcasing the main engine of Ukrainian Railways! While these locomotives may be considered old or outdated, they continue to serve reliably, pulling cars and keeping the rail system moving. ChS7-8 ChS7-8 from BrickLink Studio [BrickLink] ChS4
