Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
DJ Bricks replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah but those were the preliminary versions, these are the final versions. I bet that's why the sets were under the embargo at NY, becuase the figs are final and the didn't want anything spoiled I know, i just wanted others to see that her hair is accurate so others won't complain. -

I can see why they reused the Lex head, but it does make her look very manish. -

From the shot we have, she looks good and very Amy Adams like. Whys Does Faora look like a dude, I know she has short hair in the film. is it me or does the soilder's face look like James Badge Dale's? The sets don't look too bad. -

Well i hope for an Iron Patriot S@H exclusive, maybe the white lightsaber hilt will be his new minigun. When did we get info on the Hulk polybag, sometime in march or April? http://cdn03.cdn.justjared.com/wp-content/uploads/headlines/2012/09/chris-hemsworth-thor-2-begins-filming-first-set-pics.jpg Thor's outfit gets bronze on it, for the circles, arm braces, and other bits of the armour. I heard that he gets promoted to general because of the events of The Avengers, and his armour gets changed beacuse of it. I hope for some variant of Thor and more than one Thor: The Dark World set. And I hope for figs like :the Dark World version of Loki, Odin, Jane Foster, Malekith, Selvig, Kurse, Heimdall, the Warriors Three, Sif, and maybe Tyr or Kat. -

Well, the movie is surronded by a lot of secrets that they don't want spoiled. Maybe we'll get pics in a couple weeks, or a month before the sets are supposed. Metropolis Showdown was shown, i'm guessing, because it wasn't really spoiling anything, maybe just a small bit of Zod and Supes final battle. -
I think someone , maybe the Brickshow, but he has the generic angry face.

Yeah i guess. the cheek bones should have been more like the design of Liv Tyler's Arwen minifig, the have the same cheek bone her and SJ . I've got the feeling that if Widow is to be released in future sets , it'll be the same in those sets. Unless Lego listened to complaints and fixs her. I disagree, the serious smirk kinda looks like the one Renner has, and the eyes on the other side completly looks like him -

I liked it, thought the ending was a bit lame though. -

I like SJ as Widow. I think Emily Blunt would make a perfect Gamora though, just finished watching Looper. The face would be different, and there would be some differences in the body print, that's about. -

Yeah but WW face doesn't look like Scarlett at all. And just because he signed a contract, doesn't mean he'll appear in a sequel. Like i said he's pretty pissed that he spent half of the avengers playing a mind controled man instead of the Hawkeye from the comic version. -

It's not a bad design, Lego just didn't know what hawkeye and widow would look like in the final version of the film. And to me they still look cool, maybe i've gotten used to them. Scarlett is confirmed for CA:TWS so we could get her in a set based on that movie. Lego could have learned their lesson, make her lips pink ( like Padme's and Red's new faces), and make her look like her film appearnce. Or Lego could go cheap and reuse her avengers variant. Jeremy hasn't signed on to anymore Marvel films yet, he's kinda mad that he hasn't gotten to play the Hawkeye from the comics. -

I have a poster on my wall that's the concept art poster for the avengers and believe it or not Widow and Hawkeye are accurate to that. -

If the cheek bones enhance the minifigure and makes them look more the actor/actress it's trying to portray, I'm all for it. But i will admit, i'm still getting used to the cheek bones on female figures. Believe it or not the cheek bones on the Widow fig, despite it making her look older, is accurate to her cheek bones http://www.gistus.com/gs-c/uploads/2012/12/Scarlett-Johansson.jpg -
The lego freeze doesn't look a thing like thay horrible version of him. Why do you think so, just cuz he doesn't have goggles and a serious face, cuz i can think of a couple other freezes in the comics that ar goggleless and angry.

Mr. Freeze is inspired by his appearnce in Arkham City. Riddler is based on the Grant Morrison run where he had a grey hat and a shepard hook for a cane. Scarecrow is fine for me, and the others were already based on comic appearnces that have really changed in design. Well Harley and Ivy were based on Batman: TAS, so yeah. Joker i like too, and Two-Face's original design in the comics isn't a fan favorite, but it colorful and kid friendly. I like the new comic book colorful theme, people need to remember the Lego is mainly designed and apealed to children, not adults.

Well i expect sets to be based on Thor: The Dark World to be released in Oct to go with Nov release of the film. I would hope we get more than movie based sets as i would like an Electro based on Ultimate Spidey. And i would like the yellow and green costume, not the electric blue version. In fact i would like figures to assemble the show's version of the Sinister Six(Doc Ock, the Lizard, the Rhino, Beetle, Kraven, and Electro). Plus Spidey's two remaining teamates, Geen Goblin, Sandman, Harry, Norman, Aunt May, and Season 2 Doc Ock. -

I don't think Lego has the rights to make sets based on the Phase 1 build up movies, i think those still are with Megablocks. -
Or it could BTTF Cuusoo set.

No i do not. The sets at NYTF were under the embargo to avoid movie spoilers of a movie surronded in secrecy, why do you think marvel and Lego lost it when the IM3 sets were revealed. I don't think the MoS sets will be revealed until they're almost due in stores, but i hope we might see one, maybe the Black Zero set. I want to see Amy Adam's Lois in lego and the combat armor. But they may reveal the BTTF Delorean set. -

I'd love a Stan Lee fig too, he is the main Marvel man. I like the Marvel IM sets they are the better. Sorry i'm a hardcore comic book geek, but i only have watched the lone ranger movies. But i will admit i was floored by the mine and stagecoach. -

Or a hulk type polybag, i hope for that. Maybe lego didn't know how important the Iron Patriot would be or couldn't find a set to put it in. Preorder iwould like a Iron Man suit or a Stan Lee minifig. -
It;s Red Harrington, i'm a huge Lone Ranger fan, i know.

If Donnie made it, it probably can.

All the new SH sets were there, but there was a no photo embargo on them. Sets that would spoil scenes in secret coated movies. Little late on that for Marvel. And most people go to NYTF expecting to take pics, not memorize sets and things( that's more London and Germany). The guy I talked to at FBTB said what he could remember about the sets, so yeah. ( check a few posts up for the link)
