  1. Third model is ready. This time I built a forklift. Idea for it came while choosing a set for the TC25 competition, I was considering 42079 set for shrinking but finally decided on a different one.   2. Thank you. I also like orange. Unfortunately, this year is the first time in a long time without set in this color. The next one, however, I hope will bring a nice orange (perhaps even non-car) set with new micro panels and at last parts from unreleased Osprey. I made graphics in the studio without rendering just by screenshot. Changed color all elements of the original model to trans-clear.
  3. Thanks but the idea was taken from you - I saw similar graphics in your contest thread 8479 Barcode Truck. I like that it shows clear the size difference shrunken model to the original set.

  5. Thanks. First version of bucket was a little thinner (using the 5L axle) but I changed it to 6L axles to make it completely black (and didn't want to use older black axles). Those orange elements really enhance the look of real model even though they are too big so they must stay. Light is not a problem (made movie before 8 am in full sunlight in the room) but camera (with aperture Æ’/2.2) and operator skills. It is also difficult to focus on the presentation of the model while looking at the phone screen (hence the moments of awkwardness). Of course, I accept your criticism and in my free time will try to improve myself in this element. Thanks for feedback.
  6. Thanks for the comment and tips. I will remember to use them in the future. Video is ready. This is my first attempt at making a video (it's not perfect but it's tolerably in my opinion) so please overlook imperfections.
  7. From my perspective, flagship sets and larger sets are getting better every year (not considering higher prices). The only thing that hurts me is the new TLG strategy - to get an interesting set you have to spend more and more money. Not so long ago you could get a model with interesting functions for around 50 euros, now in this price it is just a ugly vehicle to put on a shelf. True and interesting technic sets with functions start around 100€. I made a quick summary (from 2013 year) in pricetag 15-90€ (without mini sets 10€ and 15€). It's very subjective and it is possible that I could missed or qualify incorrectly some sets. Anyway, compilation shows the direction of development technic series. Sets with prices 15-90€ in 2013/2014/2015/2016/2017/2018/2019/2020/2021/2022/2023 2/4/3/4/6/3/4/1/2/1/0 - technic sets 2/2/2/2/2/2/2/3/2/4/2 - pullbacks 1/1/1/0/0/1/1/0/2/0/4 - cars 3/3/3/2/2/3/3/3/4/4/6 - pullbacks+cars 1/0/1/0/1/0/0/1/0/0/1 - motorcycles

  14. Thanks @MangaNOID, @SaperPL and @heyitsdisty for feedback. All elements of the superstructure and connection to main arm are held together by several pins. I mainly wanted to catch the proportions and check mechanics so everything is flexible at the moment. It should be much better after the upgrade then will see if model need a counterweight.
  15. Little progress has been made, model already has main grappler arm, working rear stabilisers and scraper with lock on front. Nekt task is strengthen superstructure and work on the details in Studio.

  17. Good start and it's nice that you changed the set to a more interesting one (at least in my opinion). I like that it already looks like a Unimog, even though it is 3x smaller than the original.
  18. Happily there is still plenty of time and everyone should be able to complete their entries. Earlier, I also wondered if my model would not be too complicated, but only such ones can take high places in this contest. It's exactly like that. I wanted to keep the characteristic orange elements as in the original one. Unfortunately, it is impossible to maintain proportions with a reduced scale.

  21. Thank you. I'm currently focusing on bodywork - recreated the side panel with the engine cover and the rear lights from bricks (these details were made with stickers in original set). Current progress:
  22. It's a pity that tires 37x14 and 37x18 are not used in technic sets (currently) - wheels with this size can work with the differential. Have a few ideas for using 37x14 in the future (as wheels for truck), so ordered buch of them for a few cents. I was also planning to shrink 42049 Mine Loader (using 37x14 tires) but in the end I chose Volvo.
  23. I didn't think it was possible to use such a mechanism in this little scale, looks awesome. This is another interesting project that I will observe in this contest.
  24. Thanks. Not my idea, unfortunately. The first time I saw this solution is some 42088 alternative model. Thanks. Haven't found any replacement for this element so it's the only way I can keep the scale of the model. Thank you. True, the scale is definitely different, but your project seems to me the most interesting at the moment. If you find any useful solutions in my creations, feel free to use them in your mocs.   25. Thank you for your kind words, but my TC22 entry does not conform to the rules of the current competition (different proportions, colors and functions than in the original set). Thanks to Jim for organizing this contest. I was afraid it wouldn't happen due to some people started shrinking before the previous contest has ended. TC25 just started and there are already a lot of interesting entries.
