  1. Not bad, not great either. Will buy it and display it with pride on my shelf alongside PoBB. However, it's not going stop me from designing the 3x3 baseplate, UCS, balls to the wall Eldorado, bristling with cannons, complete with a labrynth of tunnels leading to dungeons and other underground rooms. I absolutely love the Governor Broadside minifig and will buy like 5 of them from Bricklink.
  2. Nice stuff man, kudos.
  3. Is this har/hair combo not identical to the lady pirate CMF? I’d love for it to be another version, but I could only find one black tri corn hat on bricklink with pony tail in black on Bricklink. What set is that? Also I know there’s a black tri corn with blonde hair in a monster truck city set, but that’s probably not listed yet.
  4. Looks great, kudos.
  5. This beautiful build. I already voted for this along with two other Modular’s. If it makes it to crowdfund I’ll probably order a set.
  6. Hi all. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with Bluebrixx modular buildings? Also what is the clutch power of their bricks llike and what is the moluld quality like, are there any seriously ugly mould marks etc? Can anyone point me in the direction of some reviews, either video reviews or written articles, that aren’t in German or another language as I only speak English?
  7. Great work, kudos. Do you think you’ll make instructions available on Rebrickable? I’d happily pay for instructions as I’d love to build this awesome rendition of the Pearl. Great work either way though, keep up the great work.
  8. Just finished assembling 60384. It’s smaller than the camper, which I quite like, as in real life unless two cars are the same make and model they’ll be different sizes than each other, so it adds a touch of realism. I love assembling new leg kits, the instructions are clearer than those found in the sets from when I was a kid. Also the bags are numbered as you’re all probably very well aware of, where as back in the day they weren’t IIRC, though they were still grouped together in relation to what part of the build they formed.
  9. Thanks for the birthday well wishes guys, I just finished putting together 60283 and it is a lot larger in person than it looks on the box art I then promptly went to Lego.com and filled out the survey for a chance to win more Lego. Just curious, has anyone ever filled out a claim for missing pieces, as the frying pan was missing? Is it a difficult process?
  10. Even though they’ll tease me lightheardly for hobbies, my brothers, Andrew and Ricky, and my Father bought me these two sets for my birthday. The slushy van will slot anywhere in my fledgling city, New Brickhaven, and I’m going to build a camping area with the other, which will have a lake and a couple of A frame cabins, some other campers/caravans and a scout troupe with tents.
  11. Hey man great stuff, Figbarf is one of my favourite parts of the hobby. Just curious, where is the head, hear piece and torso for Count Falco from?
  12. Hi all, I don’t know if this the correct place to ask (feel free to move it if it’s in the wrong place mods), but I’m wondering how I’d go about upgrading the LEGO Ideas Motrised Lighthouse to be able to turn on the functions of the lighthouse remotely, and also how to add a permanent power suply like a USB cable so I n longer have to use batteries. Can anybody offer any advice, point towards any easy to understand resources (either online or in print), or point me towards any of the parts I need or companies that sell the required parts if I have to go aftermarket? Any assistance anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated and I offer my thanks in advance.
  13. Pretty cool. Won’t be able to pick up the Jazz Club during the allocated time, but it’s a cool little truck so I’ll either pick one up on the aftermarket or recreate one, even in different colours.
  14. Hi all, based on the assumption that both Assembly Square and the LEGO IDeas Medieval Blacksmith are retiring in the foreseeable future, am I better off getting a second copy of the Blacksmith or a copy of Assembly Square. I consider both purchases essential for my hobby as an AFOL and will definitely be buying both, I’m just wondering which of the two would end up costing me more (comparative the individual RRP, not each other, as I realise Assembly Square costs more out of the two) if I had to buy it on the aftermarket?
  15. I had had a problem figuring out one of the functions on Bricklink, but figured it out
  16. I was thinking about this the other day and I’m thinking of call my city New Brickhaven.
  17. Thanks for assistance guys. Very much appreciated.
  18. Hi all, got back into LEGO about a year ago, started off with Pirates of Barracuda Bay and Medieval Blacksmith, but the offerings in both Pirate and Castle themes is pretty slim, and both of those two kits are actually fro the LEGO Ideas theme. I know there’s the 90th Anniversary Castle, but compared to the blacksmith I don’t like it too much as I find the scale a little off, also less detailed and TBH, a little toy like (yes I do realise LEGO produces toys, however some sets like the two I mentioned are definitely more directed at AFOLs like us). Anyway I’ve fallen in love with quite a few of the LEGO Creator Expert modular Buildings and plan on getting a few of the more recent sets. I plant on building display scenes on my shelves with the new Road plates in a MILS configuration and am just going to use various LEGO vehicles from the City theme to be set up travelling on my roads. To get to the point of this thread and actually ask my question, I was wondering if anyone could point me to a definitive lis either on Eurobricks or externally of whichSpeed Champions vehicles are six stud and which are eight stud wide? Eight stud wide are too big for the road plates, and also make things like a fire engine or dump track form the City theme look tiny. I’ve found the Dodge Charger/Dodge Challenger two pack quite to my liking and was wondering which other vehicles come in the six stud scale? Thanks in advance for any help may be able to assist me with, I’ve done a Google search and searched Eurobricks but haven’t been successful at all.
  19. That’s my store. I love no more than 4km from Karrinyup Shopping Centre. Love this store and the Warhammer store so much.
  20. That’s pretty cool.
  21. Thank you very much for helping me identify the part. I kept looking through all of the castle minifigs and it was driving me crazy because I couldn’t find it.
  22. Hi all I’ve tried unsuccessfully to locate the source of this torso. Is anyone able to help me? Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thinks in advance. The link is to an eBay page, but the seller is away. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/255497934288
  23. this lighthouse looks awesome.
  24. Wow I would have loved to see this exhibition in person. I went to a LEGO a exhibition in 1990 that was explorer themed. There were LEGO constructions of explorers taken from both history and fiction and included Gulliver of Gulliver’s Travels, Neil Armstrong landing on the moon, Dr Livingstone and the first submarine to descend into the Mariana Trench. I was in awe seeing it all and had the program from the event but alas I am unable to share scans of it like those for the Pirates Ahoy one above as it didn’t stand up to he rigours of time very well. There was also a temporary store and cafe attached to the exhibit and my parents let me buy the LEGO Pirate Minifugres 6521 box and we got hotdogs for lunch. It was fantastic day that stands out in my mind. There is currently a Jurassic World LEGO exhibition featuring LEGO constructs by Ryan McNaught in home city open until February and I’m going to go before it gets taken away. https://exhibition.thebrickman.com
