Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
CodFather1 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hasbro to does things very differently to LEGO, as they do a lot of preorders for products further down the line, compared to LEGO who only put certain products up for preorder. -

Can we expect to see a reveal of one of the August sets around May the Fourth, like the AT-AT from 2020 and the Bad Batch Shuttle from 2021? If so, which set do you expect to be revealed? My personal bets are on the AT-TE, as it seems to fit the range, and we have had quite a bit of info about it recently. -

Pretty sure Promobricks listed the set number and price, and now clickbait news sites on instagram are making the assumption. I would not put any credence into this until we get some more information from a trustworthy source. -

I think that it was a vocal minority spurred on by Youtubers like MandRProductions, more than an actual demand for those characters. At the end of the day, It was unrealistic for anyone to expect such an absurd figure selection, with a character that wasn't even in the film they were trying to represent, and a figure of some random guy that appeared once in a set released 2 decades ago, and nowhere else. -

Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
CodFather1 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
We know it is not the end of the franchise. However, after Camp Cretaceous ends, there will probably be a void of Jurassic content for a while, meaning that universal might not want to continue the partnership until after new media is revealed. After all, Lego did stop producing content for Jurassic after 1 wave in 2015, only starting again for Fallen Kingdom in 2018, and then making content based of their own Jurassic mini-series in 2019-2020, then making a wave semi based on Camp Cretaceous, and finally releasing a giant wave for Dominion. Also, waves that have not released along side movies have been tiny, only 4 sets at best, and that is including 4+ sets. I have a feeling that they may not continue the partnership until after new movies are actually announced. But again, this is all just speculation. -

I thought this set was meant to include a dwarf spider droid. Were they on Utapau in the movies? If not, I suppose promobricks could have mistaken a theoretical crab droid(as mentioned above) for a spider droid. -

It doesn't sound plausible at all, there is no way Lego would take the risk of producing the 4th most expensive Star Wars set of all time and have it be something that isn't even from a movie. I know that the Mandalorian is popular, but it isn't so popular that lego would produce a $530 set based on it. -

The Quetzalcoatlus is HUGE. BTW The photography is just fine for the purposes of the photos. I am just happy to see them next to each other. -
To be fair though, the Seabound wave showed up quite a bit on regular websites before hand, which Brickset did not report on.

I know that I am new here, but this just sounds like another USC Imperial Shuttle scenario, which was rumoured before the Cantina. I don't believe this for a second. -

The last Jawa Minifigure was used in 2020, which was when I thought the piece was retired. As far as I can tell, It disappeared for all of 2021. Either way I am just glad to see it is still around. -

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but the dementor in the MoM has the old hood piece. I was under the impression that it had been retired and replaced with the hood piece from Star Wars, but apparently not. -

Especially since we are moving out of the theme park direction. The Dinos are free, and the logo should reflect that. -
Perhaps we will see a molded dragon with the Lion King's Castle later this year. For that price it is certainly a possibility. In any case I don't see anything like that happening within the Ninjago sphere in a long time. Perhaps when they reboot the franchise, then we will get molded dragons. However, that would mean that unique and incredible dragons like the Skull Sorcerer's dragon would be far less likely to happen. The designers and the producers of the show would be far more limited in what they could make due to being constrained by budget, I just doesn't seem like a worthwhile investment, especially while the show is around.

Thats not going to happen. Ninjago has always primarily had brick built dragons, and I think that they are simply too big to warrant the expenditure on Lego's part and the cost on ours. I make an exception for Jurassic and city, because they are trying to depict semi-realistic animals in their sets, but for Ninjago, the molded heads and Jaws are more than enough.
