I absolutely love your architecture design on the temple. You nailed the look of the structure starting to deteriorate, but not to the point they are considered ruins. And the Totenköpfe uniforms are fantastic. -

I don't mind the non-tiled surfaces, as I thoroughly enjoy building more classic designs, but I've been playing around with some techniques in LDD that I'd love to add to future builds once I purchase the tiles needed. I'm just about done with the purchasing all of my "army building" pieces....there will be matching uniforms all around. Pretty excited at how some of the units are coming out. After training, they should be able to hold their own against any of their Imperial contemporaries. Thanks! Hoping I can get more licensed properties soon too, and hopefully attract other builders as well. As its our easternmost port, its the doorway to the newer regions of the map. -

Yes. Modded for an extra cannon on each side, as well as redesigned the fore deck area to be a bit larger. -
Despite being only a humble "hamlet" on paper, New Nassau is a bustling place. As the easternmost port under Sea Rat control, it is the gateway to El Oleonda and the rest of the unknown eastern isles. While sea trade is currently limited to only a few companies and properties, New Nassau is rich in inter-island trading, with both residents and the natives of the island setting up small bartering stalls throughout the town. With the Black Wolf Company's recent arrival and setting up their first shop, they have since expanded the docks to accommodate their needs. Preparing for departure, the Nymeria is loaded full of weapons to sell at other Sea Rat ports. The crew load up the goods, while Captain Barlowe confirms the manifest is correct one last time. ] The Black Wolf Company put out an advertisement in search of any able body Sea Rat wanting to earn a steady wage. With the expansion of the company in Terra Nova, more manpower is needed in the form of soldiers, sailors, and workers. Extra motivation was provided in the form of a Sea Rat's favorite meal....rum Freya Torstein and Clarice Barlowe embrace one last time before the Nymeria's departure, while two Black Wolf officers transport a chest off the docks. While his sailing days are long over, Captain Ironhook is content to spend the rest of his days in rum-fueled bliss absorbing the sights and sounds of the docks. Unlike many islands in Terra Nova, the Sea Rats have a strong relationship with the Natives of Isla de Barro. The locals trade modern Halosian goods and weapons to the natives for fruit, animals, and other products from interior of the island. Two canoes are arriving at the docks, laden with supplies to be bartered. This is just the start of a period of renewed rebirth and growth for New Nassau. Be on the lookout in coming months for more additions to the town! I originally planned on including some of this setup in Lock, Stock, and One Smoking Barrels, but since it is now licensed as a small commerce, I was limited on space for that build. In addition, I was working on a "recruitment" build, but figured this expanded dock scene could serve both purposes perfectly. I wish I had a good collection of gray round tiles to make stonework a bit more realistic, but unfortunately, its still on my "wanted" list of bricks to buy, along with a bunch of longer brown tiles to imitate wood planks. Slowly working on expanding my collection of these pieces to help with more realistic builds in the future.

That would be a great accessory for the Pirate theme. Would be cool if Brick Arms or one of the other 3rd party companies made it too. Thanks! Capt. Ironhook's pirating days may be in the past, but he's still living the life.... -

Thank you! I was aiming to match it to the fort and other structures in your New Nassau build. I love the classic white/yellow color scheme. My other builds coming will probably follow suit. The Black Wolf prides itself in setting itself apart from other Sea Rats, by having some semblance of order and tidiness (but not at the cost of personal freedom). Finding the right balance for details in such a small space though was definitely a challenge. Took a few tries. I went with One Smoking Barrel, as in the movie the gun of name was a double-barrel shotgun....with muskets being the primary firearm of use, I figured it would be more fitting to change it to match. And yes, its a great movie. I'm a bit proud of myself I thought to use a play on its title for my build. -

The set came in a day early, and I just couldn't resist getting right into it. I underestimated how large the set is with the island and everything. And the construction of the ship is beautiful. Rebuilt my original one yesterday in anticipation, so I can have them side by side. -

I bought a few "damaged" ones for 0.03 cents each, so by cutting them shorter, I actually got rid of the bite marks on them lol. That's the main reason I didn't care about cutting them down. -

Thank you! I learned it's a bit of a challenge cramming as many details as I can into 16x16 lol. I bought a bunch of those blue/yellow flags (from Spongebob sets I think), and just cut some black tape to recreate the Sea Rat Flag. Working on getting my friend to print me some decals for the large 4x6 flags as well. -
29 May 620AE Ragnarrson and the Black Wolf Company have made their way to New Nassau, and established their first property on the island. Welcome to Flintlock, Stock, and One Smoking Barrel. A one-stop-shop for any Sea Rat's weapons needs. Muskets, pistols, cutlasses, black powder, hatchets, irons....you name it, we have it. No shirt, no shoes, no eye? No problem! We serve any scoundrel who walks through our doors. Doubloons, gems, and all other forms of booty accepted as payment A 16x16 free build to be licensed as a small commerce property in New Nassau.

Thanks! That is my favorite shot as well. And not sure if you noticed.....but I actually cut down a spare katana to convert it into a wakizashi, the smaller sword Samurai normally carried as a pair with the katana. -
I know of which thread you speak of. I'd do it, but I only have the brown/gray hulls, and a black/green. But I don't plan on using them too frequently lol. No aggression towards Oleon....yet . I don't think the Nymeria would survive any encounter....she is build for speed and transport only lol.

Corweena replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I actually created a small backstory about my main character, who hails from the uncharted north. So if you want to use any of the info I created in your adventure, feel free! I used a lot of Viking/Norse/Inuit influences. I kind of styled them as the descendants of Viking like people, who still hold on to their warrior heritage, while embracing the more modern technologies that have developed in Southern Halos. -

[SR - Ch III - Cat E] The Last Stand
Corweena replied to Corweena's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you! They are surprisingly difficult sometimes, particularly in trying to keep the formations looking irregular and natural. -
I always wanted the ships as a kid (I could only ever afford to buy the Cross Bone Clipper). Despite not being the most realistic, I absolutely love their classic styling. And since most of my brick collection is from the 90s and early 00s, I enjoy building in those styles still.

Thank you! And yes that is what it is, commonly called a hand cannon, among other things. I saw a post a whole back showing some examples of them, so figured it would be a nice item to add. Looking at it now, I kind of agree with you....3am me after 6 hours straight of building thought it was great . I may go back and edit it a bit later. Thank you for the kind words! -

May 620AE El Oleonda The Black Wolf Company has sent one of its Elite "Black Fang" Ranger Units to El Oleonda, heeding Carno's call for mercenary soldiers to assist in the battle on the island. Arriving on the island, the Rangers pressed inland and have been hunting down a group of Lotii soldiers. The Lotii leader writes his commander telling of the situation before making his final stand with his remaining men. Most Honorable Daimyo, I regret to inform you of the imminent failure of my mission. My unit had made excellent progress pressing towards the infernal Carnite settlement Neuburg, until we were set upon by mercenary soldiers, the likes of which we had never seen. These soldiers are far removed from the Carnite and other Imperial forces we usually encounter. They are seasoned trackers and woodsmen, and have been pursuing us for 3 days now, despite our best efforts to evade them in the jungles. They avoid direct engagements with our larger force, preferring irregular and indirect assaults. I have lost too many men to their traps and ambushes they have set, that I can not press on any longer. We have tried returning to Jiangkai, but lest we give away its location to these devils, we have decided to stand and fight. In order to bring honor to my family and the Kingdom of the Lotus, I will die by the sword....either my enemy's or my own. For the glory of the Empire! - Saito Noshimuri Black Fang Rangers The last stand Here are a couple photos with the palm trees removed to see the build details a bit better. This was a super fun build overall. I was stumped the last 3 days trying to figure out what to build for this category. Sat down tonight and I don't know what clicked, but I just started building, and this was the result. Been a hot minute since I've done any terrain builds like this, and I forgot how much I enjoy it. C&C welcome, as always.

Thank you! I didn't even plan on this, as I have a larger ship I am beginning to work on, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to practice making sails (definitely a learning experience). Plus, since I'm starting out, I need all the DBs I can get! Tore down a Renegade Runner, and whipped this up. I really wish the narrow hull center sections weren't so hard to come by.....I have an idea of something to build if I could get my hands on 2 of those....
