LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

I keep forgetting to convert $ to £. how much is the Death Star going to be in £? Forgive my nativity for economics I never normally care about other currencies apart from the one I use (pound sterling) I know it won’t happen but if it is the equivalent of the US price $1000 then it would be £750 which doesn’t make it sound as bad but still a lot. But then if Lego price it at like £900 or £950 then surely Americans are getting a better deal which again don’t make sense to me? I’ve never really care enough about other prices in other countries to see if it’s all the same or do different countries have to pay more for the same set with different rrp? also remember that all US prices are at least 10-20% inflated because of tariffs but that still doesn’t rule out Lego corporate greed. -

Lego has been around for decades, kids have been playing with Lego for decades and have never needed any gimmicky tech to help play. Like you said every tech gimmick they’ve tried has failed. Even introducing this smart brick has failed I thought it was supposed to be out in some city sets last summer? -

Oh great another X wing. At least there is a different TIE fighter. Genuinely feel bad for OT fans like of all the sets and ships they could do for the rebellion they flog a dead horse. Like you can defend this summer as it’s things we haven’t had before figure wise and design and colour wise. It’s not even aimed at kids they aren’t going to spend $100 on one LEGO set especially when for that money they could get 4/5 from other themes for the same money. actually I’m annoyed about the TIE advanced actually because it’s mean another Darth Vader figure and you know it won’t be a new design, it’s just so boring. thank god I can save a load of money next year. So far across all themes 2026 is looking absolutely shocking and uninspiring and even more overpriced than the crap they’ve produced this year. Genuinely hope they’ve saved all of their budget to go all out on the Mando and Grogu sets or even Ahsoka S2 otherwise might just sell up genuinely cba. genuinely has triggered me like parents could buy for their kids the x wing and tie mash up set get more figures for less than what one of the new x wing. And then to get a nice luke red 5 figure spend £10 on the mech and another £10 on the Vader one as that probably on the shelf somewhere warming up and you e got it all for a fraction of these two new sets. -

I do like this set a lot I think it look great. Just like barad dur set. But i just think it’s too much money. U.K. I know Argos and Smyths will get it eventually and it’ll probably get down to 600 quid and maybe then I’ll do it for the nectar points -

SW leakers need to take a page out of the Harry Potter leakers. Details of hogsmead one day full set pics the next. No drip feeding just leaks -

I did wonder how they would pull off the laser not going to lie. And the lift as well seemed very random feature. When I saw it no one on Reddit had called it out as fake at the time maybe we are all a little too eager for news -

Apparently there are some more details about the Death Star including a lift and a laser that extends out like an old school Toy lightsaber don’t recognise the leaker so not sure if it’s legit. And also only 5 more figures to be revealed. But I think we kind of knew that already? -

Surely when it’s leaked/rumoured. The news of ones existence will be enough -

I noticed Lego are doing the Kamino GWP again but only with the slave 1 I’m guessing the UCS one. It would be mad if it was the new smaller one -

Don’t know how eBay is in the US but UK is always (mostly) good. But if there are fake sets and it’s not in the description you always get your money back, eBay always sides with the buyer. I always pick up odd sets and figures off eBay when the price is right. Last night I got the last republic tank new and sealed for the same as when it was on the shelves which thought was a good deal. Gives me more purple clones. For me the way Lego is going 2nd hand marketplaces are going to be my go to for new sets or figures I want. That’s where I will pick up a lot of the Death Star figures when they release. but I wish there was someone like you in the U.K. as I only really want the figures from the CTT whereas you want the build. I think it’s crazy how it’s always US stores that the sets come out early in, I always check UK stores and they are never early, sometimes they don’t even show in stores until weeks/months after release Depends on what area people live in but a lot of rural areas or towns especially in the U.K. might only have one/two shops that sell Lego and form my own experience because it releases on 1st August doesn’t mean they are available 1st August. That’s why i always do online because you know the stock is there but for those who hate online shopping where you live is still a key factor on your access to sets. This 1000% we should celebrate the fact that there are kids still interested in buying Star Wars Lego. I myself have always been fortunate that my birthday is 31 July and so my birthday I always get one of the new sets from a June/August wave. it should be everyone’s free choice when and where to buy a set everyone here mostly agrees the sets are too expensive but if there are special occasions like birthdays then your hardly going to deny a child a set they desire. Especially when the battlepack is one of the cheapest set coming in August. We should be thankful Lego doesn’t do full wave releases before Christmas in like November/December time because that would screw us over at Christmas time, at least these sets will be on sale for Christmas to buy for children/spouses or for ourselves. -

GWP was a TIE fighter wasn’t it? And I think it was 3 figures so a TIE pilot Is obviously one the other two could be anyone maybe a random Admiral and/or droid. i think the set is going to be like barad dur on one side is the outside ie the side with the laser all grey and spherical and then flip it 180 will have a load of highly detailed rooms all at the detail or dioramas. I’m guessing maybe 6-8 rooms maybe 10 at most -

It’s a $1000 diorama. Sounds like it’ll be like Barad Dur half a sphere and the other side is the detailed interior. Don’t know why I care at all who has a spare $1000 for one Lego set. Could also swap the torso for Kylo Ren to have a shirtless Kylo from the game as well. -

Kind of annoyed that they are happy to do hot tub stormtrooper from the Lego games but we are still here waiting for the GOAT rebel friend? Figures look great for me don’t give a toss about printing or whatever but this is a kind of set that I will only ever see in the Lego shop. Unless I win the lotto. Euromillions in the U.K. tonight is over 100million be able to afford one with a win lol. don’t think there are any great surprises or omissions with that line up so far except for hot tub guy. But 15 figures and a GWP to go… -

So 25 down 15to go. Only one I can’t see yet is a Ben Kenobi figure, maybe a TIE pilot so I’m guessing that’s to come and the 11 must be multiples of all the trooper types? Figures look pretty good to me I’m hoping bricklink/ebay prices aren’t too bad for most of these. -

Hopefully we get a hot tub trooper mech in 2026 That was the original rumor then i thought it turned out that the TIE was the GWP for the Death Star and the AT-AT was the holiday set? I’d rather us get a normal Vader Tie than a gingerbread one if the rumour is true. -

For me I’ll probably pick up the Slave 1 off eBay like the boba one a few years ago got it 2nd hand at a great price about 6 months after release. I do want a couple of 327th but I’m waiting for a sale for my first and probably eBay the other set or two. V19 I might wait for a sale for but I might save it for next year in case I like the May the 4th promos and need some sets to get to the threshold. MTT I’m ngl might get day 1 my birthday is on the 31st and the sets release next day so I do always have a bit of money to spend normally ends up a present from the wife and kids. CTT I will wait for but I’m definitely going to be bricklinking the Marines or eBay whichever’s cheaper. If I’m lucky the marines will appear in the magazine which will also help bring their price down. In fact thinking about the magazine hope the 327th makes an appearance as well at some point. I suppose it’s true Lego has already got their money off the retailers but I don’t know what Lego sales are like in the rest of the world from Lego themselves but in the U.K. they are diabolical tbh. Very rarely do SW sets go on offer and normally the offer is linked to insider points which in these days people would prefer the money off up front rather than having money off on future sets. Even when they go on offer at Lego themselves other retailers especially in the U.K. also have them offer at the same time and normally with better offers! Sometimes shops like Argos/Sainsburys and Tesco you get points that go towards things other than Lego like towards shopping/petrol etc. I do have a gut feeling that this summer wave of sets will go on offer quicker and possibly bigger offers than in previous years. Already seeing some of these sets being 10-15% off rrp to preorder. -

I think there are a lot of people who want the summer sets but it’s the price that we all can’t accept im hoping a lot of people will wait for the inevitable sales and reductions. I’ve got a tracker and already to preorder some places in the U.K. have them listed below RRP -

In theory for system sets it could have been one of the best years. they redesigned the Jedi starfighter with Ahsoka and gave us up to date CW Ahsoka and Anakin. A new Arc170 with 3 different clone pilots. New U wing with Dedra, ISB agent and K2SO. everyone wanted nighttrooper battle pack which we’ve now got a new Slave 1 with a new Jango, Boba and Kaminonan. A silly RTG set but gives us new design snowspeeder (which will definitely form the basis of a new hoth one in the next few years) and some new character designs and (for me most importantly) new orange lightsaber blade. then 3 clone wars based sets with 2 legions that haven’t been released yet, and remakes of two vehicles that haven’t been done in a while and based off different battles than previous versions. And also reintroducing commando battle droids. and lastly V19 starfighter with 3 new figures. And I forgot 3 Jedi council members in other sets as well. when you look at it from theory alone it’s an amazing year. Execution has been piss poor. Most the sets are too expensive at RRP, stability issues with the CTT. Also it’s overly CWs era releases and for those fans it’s good and for those who like all eras it’s ok but there is collectors here who are OT only and unfortunately they are missing out but I think that’s the nature of the game now. I think the downsizing in general is hit and miss. They were so close to having a great year but they have fumbled it. I still want all these sets and compared to past years and waves I’m waiting for a sale or a GWP. There is the ideas remake of an old castle ship coming out at some point and the castle fool I am will probably try to get as many as I can so Lego will get their money out of me but they are going to have to wait and it won’t be as much as what they are hoping for. -

There is a site I use to track Lego offers in the U.K. and looks like the only place for the peridia set is at Smyths looks like it’s 20% off atm. I did see it in my local one yesterday but like you say online is all out of stock and rare. But it is very strange that less than a year it’s so strange. On the other hand I hated that set I was only interested in the figures and I’m quite happy I managed to get them at a reasonable price a few months ago. good news is there’s no way we will never get another Thrawn, Ezra or Ahsoka figure especially with Season 2 coming next year -

For me the price for the rumoured imperial set is perfect for a strarfighter of some sort. Same price point as the Arc170, even similar to the TIE bomber set it just lines up that it could be a TIE just hoping it’s an Avenger. then the rebel set i kind of hope it isn’t a OT ship as with the new Ahsoka and Mando movie I’m hoping for new republic variants to come out. If it’s a location set there are options loads of said Hoth but with the big anniversaries coming up (even though I hate how obsessed everyone is with them) it makes sense to hold back anything ESB for the big one. My money is on this being an Endor set, like small scale ewok village or bunker set. If Lego is really crazy could dream of it being a Yavin extension based off of Andor but Lego would never be that generous. -

I completely forgot about them tbh. But 100% agree the busts are the new helmets and the midi AT-AT will take over from midi ships -

I still think the movie wave will be save for May the 4th. With the helmets how many more do we need? They’ve covered all the good ones unless you’re wanting every clone legion and commander. We’ve got 2 18+ sets coming which would have probs been the march wave in a normal year -

Don’t forget last Monday of May is also bank holiday in May mate so it is actually releasing on a bank holiday weekend just the wrong one. also how long has May the 4th been properly celebrated? I think it’s more and more popular than it used to be so back when they did Solo wave in April it wasn’t like what it would be now? -

It’s mixed 2026 having slept on it a bit. The BP is half ok depends on what they are doing with the 332nd. Cobb speeder set looks although don’t get the armour being included as to me he’s just going to look like Boba. Also the Mando speeder sounds interesting in a cheap set especially if someone mentioned the figure being the UCS one. but the fact there are 4 sets under £30 is a big bonus. Feel like the mech should have been either a 212th of a P1 or even a new legion just something we haven’t got a lot of as this point 501st, shock troopers, and shinys are cheap already so the mech isn’t worth much tbh. Not expecting much from the BB8. Depending on how the midi AT-AT sells can see them doing half dozen more vehicles in the same scale over the next couple of years hoping for more info soon on the last couple of sets. The rumour was he’s getting a new razor crest in the film I can’t remember if we just presumed it was going to be made into a set or if it’s going to come later? But I might be wrong could just be a good rebel set and the razor crest will come in may. im guessing these are all January/March. With all the 18+ ones coming March and everything else January. Lego will probably release a film wave for May the 4th promo. Mando film comes out late May. The hype will be at its peak round then seems perfect to maximise sales. I can’t see the film wave coming April and then having something for May as well. Makes more sense to just throw everything for May.
