  1. Fantastic work. It's got the looks AND the functions in such a small package - great job! The only thing I noticed that at 11-wide it seems a little too wide - for these wheels, 9-wide seems more appropriate to me. But I guess that would require a complete rework of the functions?
  2. Looks very promising, looking forward to your progress.
  3. Brilliant! I believe this transporter should be able to fit 8-wide Speed Champions cars
  4. Wow, that is one helluva B-Model! So many functions and interesting linkages, that's what Technic is supposed to be about. Incredible work, Milan.
  5. Held der Steine's reviews on Lego Sets are mainly negative because of the high price and what you get for the same price from other manufacturers. Furthermore, Thomas (Held der Steine) described himself more as an entertainer than a serious reviewer. That said, he does point out a lot of shortcomings/strange decisions by TLG. However, his recent reviews of the new Batcycle and the Ford GT are actually both pretty positive.
  6. Hi Jojo, I sent the seller a message through ebay-kleinanzeigen.de, informing him about you and this forum post and whether he would be willing to ship to the UK. I also gave him your e-mail address. As this is no regular ebay but ebay Kleinanzeigen (i.e. private classified ads), there is no auction and no "buy now"-price. He asks 435€ + shipping, and the "VB" behind the price indicates that the price is negotiable. Good luck!
  7. Unfortunately no. Balasz's video shows the parts list, the +O beam in red it is not used.
  8. It just occured to me that one of my favourite childhood town sets, 6361 Mobile crane introduced a part that is technically the first proper liftarm ever, waaay before liftarms became a thing in Technic: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2351&idColor=11#T=C&C=11 Since it is basically a 15L Liftarm with modified end with studs on both sides, I wonder if anyone ever considered using this piece in a Technic MOC. I checked Rebrickable, and there's no Technic MOC using this part. I feel it might be really useful for combining brick-built elements with technic structures. So, has anyone of you every used this piece in a Technic MOC? And speaking of liftarms, does anyone know why the technic beams are called "liftarms" after all?
  9. You raised the bar once again Mike. This truck is simply beautiful. The tank with all the details and accessories is just perfect, as is the cab.
  10. I hadn't seen them before either, but they seem to have recently appeared: https://www.webrick.com/all-bricks-pieces/gobricks-unique.html?p=2 - so far, they're only available in LBG.
  11. FYI, the 3 angled axle connectors on the right (angles #3,#4,#5) are meanwhile available from gobricks.
  12. As regular physical stores are becoming less and less relevant due to Covid, Amazon and other online platforms, the competition will hopefully affect Lego more and more in the future. Would be interesting to see Lego's turnover from store sales compared to online sales.
  13. Thanks a lot! What a cool project this is. I built it yesterday but realized I need an extension cable to connect the motor to the battery box in the coal wagon. Furthermore, it seems that the newer Duplo tracks (the grey ones) have much more clearance under the bridge. I have lots of the old (black) tracks, and the bridge has much less clearance, so the locomotive doesn't fit under it at all..
  14. Wow, so compact and efficient. Great work.
  15. What an awesome project, thanks DHal for bringing this old topic up again. Otherwise, I would've probably missed this. My son loves Technic, and he loves to lay out huge train layouts as we have a lot of Duplo train tracks. Thinking of rebuilding your nice MOC :)
  16. Not really, as DBG and LBG would have the largest numbers here. If one was to consider the number of pulleys per set, one would also have to consider the number of sets produced in that year. Looking at the two sets with lime pulleys for example, I suppose 42120 was produced in higher numbers than the FLL set, for example...which explains even less why lime was used.
  17. Out of curiosity, and coming back to my example of 42120 (Lime pulleys and lime pin connectors), I checked the statistics about the usage of the pulley wheel in all of Lego's 2021 sets: LBG: 6 sets DBG: 6 sets Lime: 2 sets Black: 2 sets White: 1 set Yellow: 1 set Dark Turquoise: 1 set Trans-Orange: 1 set Trans-Light blue: 1 set Pearl Gold: 1 set The other set of 2021 that has lime pulleys is set 45400 BriqQ Motion Prime. So I checked for 2020 sets with a lime pulley, as maybe they might have had some leftovers from the year before - turns out the only set in 2020 with a lime pulley was 45813 "First Lego League (FLL) Challenge 2020 - RePLAY". Conclusion: From my observation, there is no support for the warehouse optimization theory in the case of 42120. They could have easily chosen a DBG or LBG pulley in this set, but they deliberately chose a weird colour that has no reason to be used in this place. Hence, I conclude: Random color vomit. But maybe there is another reason that we are not aware of...
  18. Seen this beast on rebrickable before, but Great Scott! 2.332 of those rubber pieces, that's 440€ alone for the wheels. Over 12K pieces in total! Incredible.
  19. Efferman, this one's for you: I was so inspired by your render that I decided to build it myself.
  20. Looks fantastic, Mike. Love the whole shaping of the cab.
  21. This is my 1978 Volvo F12 from the famous German TV show "Auf Achse" in 1:21 scale (Mack scale). Big thanks to Mike Collinson (mcd_technic) as his Volvo F16 was the basis and inspiration for this truck. I heavily modified his F16 and left only the front part of the chassis, the interior and the front grille unchanged. "Auf Achse" is a fictional German TV series about truckers and their adventures all over the world. The series ran from 1978 through 1996. This Volvo F12 is Günther Willers' truck from the first season and became somewhat of a legend. An image of the original truck is pictured below. The trailer is from Rebrickable by l1anchu - I just changed the colours to match my F12. Note: I removed the HOG steering knob for the pictures.
  22. On the topic of colour coding: Color coding does make sense, but to me, Lego's colour coding is way too excessive and often illogical. Take the 42120 Hovercraft for example. Why on earth are the pulleys and the two Pin connectors in LIME?!? And those two BLUE Axle/Pin-Connectors. They make absolutely ZERO sense. Those white 2L Axle/Pin-Liftarms don't make much sense (one could argue that it's easier to find the pieces in a big pile, but come on. Really?) On a highly complex build like 42082, some colour coding might be useful to make sure you don't make a mistake which could cause a lot of disassembling later on, but here? 42120 doesn't even have a high parts count. (And the colour coding in 42082 is also way too excessive)
