  1. Nice to meet you @ThommyD Welcome to the forum!
  2. With set 10320 Eldorado Fortress on shelves for half a year now, we would like to learn how it was received by the Eurobricks community. Do you love the set, got it on day one and went on to buy multiples or do you dislike the set and have no plans to buy it? Eldorado Fortress - yay or nay? Three cheers for @Horation for fleshing out the poll with us
  3. These bustes look great. The Legionnaire is my favorite! Did you paint them? They have a metallic look.
  4. Maybe there is no offical thing that is called legos, but many people use this term to describe any type of bricks in everyday language like in "i have to sort this pile of legos".
  5. According to the hive mind it looks like in 2025 (or later) we'll get a big Icons set, that is the remake of an pirate ship! Then there will be an gwp and the occasional CMF minifig and easter egg. The ships seems plausible so better start saving money now
  6. That was Promobricks. I recently asked maxbaut, who is from the promobricks team and he said that their initial info regarding the set numbers 77016 till 77019 was that these will be sets for Indy 5. They don't know if the info was wrong or if these sets have been cancelled early. But yeah, Promobricks and stonewars are both reliable sources.
  7. You don't think Star Wars is doing fine? While sadly Lego Pirates has nothing to offer for me, i already made a plan on which SW sets to buy this year I'm so exited! I'm still shocked to see the Bluebrixx Minfig packs. While Lego won in court, other companies now have a guideline to produce minfigs that are save to sell. So it turns into a win-loose situation for Lego. If i want to get a civilian age of sail Lego minfigure it's likely to find a useful torso in the Harry Potter theme, not in a Lego Pirates set
  8. That's true! Star Wars is fine
  9. Eureka! Thanks for the link
  10. Wow, the whole figure looks so homogeneous and flawless! Wonderful!
  11. Now that i made an account Maybe a dedicated BotBS flickr group could also help to promote the game?
  12. Just saw the latest video from maxbaut and he raised an interesting topic. What if Thrawn's uniform will show some weathering like in the Ahsoka show? Would the torso be universally useable then? Would collectors be happy about this?
  13. That is correct. The Kiddicraft bricks were hollow.
  14. Haha yeah! I saw this thread only after you wrote your post. There are so many threads, it's easy to miss somthing beautiful like this ship and scene
  15. I don't understand how people constantly ignore the fact that Lego is a fake brick producer themselves? Why the hell have Lego bricks the same dimensions as Kiddicraft bricks? Oh, and as you all know because it was written here before, Kiddicraft had bigger sized bricks too. The size Duplo uses... Buy your logic Lego had to choose a different size for their bricks, no? I only buy Lego because my brain likes it this way but i don't have to constantly twist everything to make it fit a narrative.
  16. Wonderful scene! A beautiful ship, a cog i guess! And i love the articulation of the musicians and dancers, the guy cleaning the deck and of course the king presenting the flowers to the mermaid. She does not look happy though
  17. That's exactly how i would feel! And it's much more healthy too. There are so many mocs out there and so many people are in the instructions business, and icons of popular culture have been created so many times, it's hard (impossible) to say who was first with this or that technique or NPU. And as was mentioned above, many techniques have been in used official Lego sets before. Do i see similarities in the pictures presented in this thread? Sure! But there are also differences!
  18. So while we saw an modified version of Bluebrixx's carrack in an other thread i went on to check their website (I have no interest in BB so i was not aware of all the pirate sets they offer and i only knew about the Governor's Island) and saw the sets and now i feel pretty depressed Can you imagine Lego to announce a minfigure pack with 8 civilian [sic!] minfigures and accessories? A pack with 8 soldiers or 8 pirates with muskets, pistols, sabers, canons and stuff? Big islands and add-ons that are fully interchangeable? Lego has to step up its game.
  19. Ah ok. I didn't even now such a set exist
  20. Great mocs! The ship looks wonderful! I like the colorful decorations on the bow and stern castles and how you build the hull. I wish you would add a picture that shows the ship from the bottom to the top of the masts. Did you paint the sails by hand?
  21. What does AG mean? I don't think we should have rewards that have an impact on era III because latecomers would already start with an disadvantage. Imagine you are a newbie who signed up on the forum to join BotBS only to learn that the veterans created a system that gives them an advantage right from the start. The field should be level imo
  22. Hehe yeah, he looks like he has seen it all after 30 years of service
  23. For me this is the most fun and interesting wave of LSW since i left my dark ages! Love it! I wonder if Lego is secretly taking action against some crazy secondary market prices of highly demanded minifigs. Thrawn in a 40$-50$ set (with other great minifigs), Rex's Microfighter, maybe even the Tantive hallway with 6 figs + Fives for 55$.
  24. Wow, what a collection They fit the era well!
