  1. The sails, all the bricks, the card box and instructions - there are no parts from Asia?
  2. +1 Actually I am thinking exactly this all the time!! People complain online and then go on to buy sets on day one because they can not wait some months. Of course this way Lego does not get the message and nothing will ever change for the better.
  3. This is so funny Funny and tragic. The higher-ups in those mega companies really have detached themselves from reality. At least from the reality the rest of the population is living in. Louvre should take some notes. People will from now on come to visit and see 'Leonardo's painting' or spend their holidays in New York City too see some 'high building' LMAO As for the set, it's an easy pass. Bring on 2026!
  4. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing
  5. That's really the worst possible treatment these themes could get Maybe a book nook or some brickheadz? Oh dear
  6. That's a great little ship! I really like the first picture, even if the shallow depth of field makes it hard to make out some of the details.... A dashing small boat in dark waters in front of a mysterious jungle island
  7. Thanks for the review! Very interesting, great set That 1x1 plate with studs on both sides (or whatever it is called) is such a great part. And there are so many gold & silver ink parts!
  8. I posted a picture in this thread before but I don't know how to find my post. The dual-molded DBG legs with black boots are actually cheaper at PAB than the regular DBG legs. I guess the dual-molded ones are produced in masses because people buy so many of them. So at least this part should be rather cheap. It puzzles me, why this of all parts, didn't make it into the $1000 set. It easily makes a minifig better.
  9. Welcome to the forum @Siroco Great to have you aboard!
  10. Actually I like the old sails much more. The blue is not as striking and overall the sails have a nice weathered look!
  11. In my opinion the whole thing looks rather boring and is not very detailed. The trash compactor and throne room dioramas we got were much better than their counterparts in the DS. So I'd rather the diorama line would continue instead of this one very big set. Here's a question for y'all: You have the $1000 DS on display in your living room and guests come over. What do you do? I hide it in the closet so they can not ask question about it. I keep it on display and when they ask about the price I lie and say $500. I proudly explain every scene/room and mention the $1000 price tag with great confidence. Unfortunately there is nothing to display because my dog/cat/toddler knocked the instable DS to the ground where it exploded into thousands of parts.
  12. Who wouldn't do what? People complain online - check People buy the sets they complain about anyway - check Lego is selling these sets - check
  13. People complain online, then they go on and buy the sets anyway. So they real question is, why should Lego make better sets when they can make more money selling bad ones?
  14. You can not compare PAB and set costs 1:1. Don't forget the people that are picking and counting every single part in the warehouse when you make an PAB order. These manpower costs must be a big factor when it comes to PAB prices.
  15. Some parts for ship builders newly available at PAB online: https://www.lego.com/de-de/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick?query=6528951+6532096+6528952+6532097
  16. The crew in their 19th century uniforms (from Generations), Kamala, Vash,....
  17. It's written on the box, so I guess it's the official name?! I wonder why there is not a single minifigs shown on the ship. Or is it just some picture showing the ship on the display stand?
  18. The name is 'Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship'??
  19. The Enterprise leaked!
  20. They have LBG with black boots, but it's triple the price of the DBG ones. Then they also have dark tan legs with reddish brown boots, but I don't know if that's the color combination you are looking for. These are even more expensive.
  21. Actually I was wrong when I was complaining about the omission of dual-molded legs in a certain 1000$ set. Actually the minifigs getting the premium treatment! Plain dark grey legs are more expensive than dual-molded legs Seriously, we don't know how they calculate the prices of these different legs, but one thing is for sure, people buy the dual-molded legs in masses from PAB, so they must be produced in masses, and that's why they are so cheap, right?
  22. Not including dual-molded legs in a $1000 set is laughable. A classic LEGO move, but laughable. But who knows, LEGO just declared the 65 stickers in the Aslume set a "cool extra". Guess it is also a cool shopping experience to buy the missing legs from PAB online, to complete the $1000 set you just bought, eh?!? Would be funny if everyone, and I mean everyone, would boycott this $1000 set and make it the biggest fail in LEGO history. A perpetual meme machine that we could tell our grandchildren. One can dream, right?
  23. The kutter is such a beautiful boat. I love the dashing appearance All the details, like the rigging, the brickbuild canons, the bowsprit and anchors are spot on. Great job all around! Whan you want to share photos from your flickr, you klick on the little arrow symbol and then choose one of the options. The first one (in German in my case) will work for the forum, but also the last one with the BBcode. Simply copy the link and add it to your forum post.
