  1. It would be nice if there was a place to hold it that makes it swooshable while operating the mechanical functions. It feels awkward to relocate my hands and I always drop the little thingamabob. I think I may add a handle or something.
  2. That's the one. Thanks for sharing! I really did search for it. :-(
  3. Nov 9 here & same when I called. My order appeared back in my history but I still see only bestseller parts. 🤷‍♂️
  4. Is there something going on with pick a brick on lego.com? I had an order back in November for some of the newer parts and it was cancelled without notice this week. When I checked none of the parts I ordered are offered on the US site and they're down to only 293 Technic parts. Did I miss a memo? EDIT: It looks like they only have bestseller parts and no more standard?
  5. You said 8t spur gear, I think you meant 12t? Just wanted to make sure I haven't missed a new part. That would be quite a feat!
  6. Some of recent Technic sets have me scratching my head. I liked the VTOL plane, but really hated the other two Technic Space sets. Speaking of going back... I'm pretty sure that by now there have been more third party PF motors sold than Lego ones. They killed PF years ago and their fans basically ignored it. Not sure I understand the new motor battery hub either. I feel like we're gonna see a whole bunch of uninspired bodies wrapped around this thing over the next few years.
  7. I don't have the exact parts in front of me but IIRC the old 8T gear without reinforcement goes into a technic hole just a bit. If you use the newer style 8T with reinforced edges, I'm about 99% sure it fits in your situation.
  8. Just wanted to share the transmission working with the biggest tires I've ever been able to run from a mostly Lego design. MTP and carbon axles with lube (giggity)...but the gearbox hasn't failed yet!
  9. I'm an android user and have a PS4 controller that I use to control my buwizz 3.0. Everything works fine from the Buwizz perspective but when I record video with the pop-up video recorder app the PS4 controls the pop-up instead of the Buwizz. Assuming this is because it's in the foreground. Using the pop-up with touchscreen controls is no problem however the controller seems to want to control the foreground app at all times. Once I minimize the recorder it stops recording This isn't a Buwizz problem more like an android problem. Curious if anyone uses their controller this way? It's kinda nice to run everything from one device without having to use a second camera but I couldn't find any settings for this Or am I doing it all wrong?
  10. That is useful! I knew about the notches, but until now didn't now about the mold update in 2018. THANK YOU!
  11. Sorry if this is common knowledge but it was something of a eureka moment for me when I discovered it. 11272 has small cutouts on the center which allow a 24T gear to sit in between when 5M apart. This is similar to the spacing with 6536. AFAIK, this is the only Technic axle connector where this tolerance exists in the middle of the element, all of the other places I've seen it are at the ends. In my case, this came in very useful while building worm gear drives for my new micro tank MOC. EUREKA!
  12. This would be a huge improvement over the new yellow stepper gear for the reasons you've stated: smaller and holds the gear in position! Never heard about geneva gears before. Thank you for sharing!
  13. They certainly didn't have the 24T clutch gear back then. That one is a game changer for sure!
  14. @Zerobricks I've been messing around with your transmission design from Tiger 6x6 for quite some time. I've used it in many, many vehicles. Recently, I was able to squeeze it down even smaller with the addition of a Cada micromotor for shifting. I took note of some of the additional bracing you designed in for the 6x6 to prevent the 24T/8T combo from skipping and I think I've faithfully reproduced it here. LXF is below. few notes: 1. I used Cada 4L friction pins (you will see these represented as two white pins) 2. For various applications I use 'flip flop' beams for the main bearing (additional gearing, steering passthrough, etc). For example, in my current design, I use a Cada 6L flip flop beam but because this isn't in LDD, I used the 7L and colored it purple. Would love to see what you think or hear any suggestions. It works in VERY heavy duty applications and will be sharing a video shortly to demonstrate this. THANK YOU for sharing your Tiger design! https://bricksafe.com/files/midonofr/transmission2.lxf
  15. I just finished the the new Mercedes 42177 and I'm finding these new wishbones and 12T clutch gear interesting. I wish I had a few more to mess around with. The spacing of holes on the wishbone opens up possibilities for building really oversized suspensions but seems like the little ball hitch is going to limit it's utility.
  16. A truly impressive body of work. This will be useful to clock builders and all Technic builders. Since you've already posted it... it's now 'out there' and will unfortunately be a bit difficult to earn money on. Might I suggest replacing the Google drive version with an updated version, adding a donation address on the first page? Example: 'If you appreciate my work, please consider buying me a beer/coffee via PayPal, venmo, BTC, etc' I'm not sure if others are the same, but I tend to donate a few dollars to anyone who puts something like this out whether I use it or not. It ain't gonna buy you a house, but will likely get you a few dollars here and there in perpetuity.
  17. Is it possible to use two PU motors in a single center steer setup on BW 3.0? After some melted plastic, I believe the answer is 'no' 😁 It tried but it doesn't look like the tracked steer config will do it either? It works for PF servo motors but doesn't seem to calibrate the two PU motors. I built some heavy duty axles with ridiculous tires and I want to do a 4 wheel steering configuration. Unfortunately, there's no easy way to move this much wheel without two motors for steering. The PF steering servo and single PU motors stall unless I locate one on each axle.htt EDIT: It does work! I just had to create two different center steering logic modules. I was trying to use a single one previously. ps://iili.io/dut7vUJ.md.jpg
  18. Yes. If you look closely at the PU connectors, those little pins get compressed a bit from frequent use. It was actually recommended to me by Buwizz.
  19. Sometimes when my buwizz controller seems to be 'misbehaving' it comes down to a bad plug/contact. Generally with the PU plugs I have to use the safety pin method a few times a year.
  20. Doesn't look like it's gonna be something that floats. :-(
  21. You guys all complaining about the price! In the U.S. we can't even get these magazines! I'd pay extra to have these shipped to me! (In case some enterprising individual wants to be in the business of Lego magazine arbitrage)
  22. Pics, or it didn't happen! (kidding) I have several of the Mars Rovers in polybags, I may give that a shot
  23. Some stock photos of the real world equipment...Looking forward to this!
