Until now Maximilian had stood there silently watching his two teammates converse, unsure if he should join in. "Well i suppose so. More pairs of eyes means more knowledge and like you said, perspectives. Lets us draw from that pool of skill when carrying out the mission. Though i don't think i share your optimism about always having a peaceful option available."

"What kind of folk have you brought here on those previous landings?" Hearing Valesia's offer made Maximilian's mouth water, the ones she offered back in the Hall were some of the best he had ever eaten. "I'd quite like some as well" Nice to hear that Endgame, i'll probably throw some questions your way soon

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Heroica Hall

"Fair point" Max said taking a bite of the toffees given to him. " I found out the hard way how tough it was to travel out of that place but the strangeness of the place was something unique." -

"That's a noble disposition. Good to hear that Heroica values all options, i'd rather not be part of an organization that sees itself as an hammer and everything else as nails, like military did." Seeing Valesia order another drink made Max ponder if he should too. "Yeah, right where the collapse happened. Can't say i know much about it's history or anything though, well apart from how huge Hydrocobalt deposits it has. Now if you'll excuse me for a moment, i'll go refill my cup". Standing up he left for the bar counter, but noticed the mission board right next to it. "A mysterious signal eh? I suppose i can be discreet" Max mused to himself before signing up for the mission. Maximilian signs up for Mission #6 After getting his refill he walked back to the table where Valesia sat. "I remember hearing that you people like to travel - have you ever been to the Nendara system yourself?" -
Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Heroica Hall

“Yes please, I’ve never been one to refuse sweet gifts” Max said taking the treats offered to him, hoping to leave a good impression on his new comrade. “I commend your adaptiveness, not many could go from chef to mercenary at will” Max said though he silently wondered how well Valesia had done in her mission. “I’m more of an adventurer myself or at least I’d like to be.” He pointed to his hat: “I was with the League’s military for some time before deciding that it wasn’t the way I wanted to travel the stars. Hopefully this Guild business will be it." He gulped the rest of his tea gathering his thoughts. “Indeed, we are, usually. Hence why I was so curious about others of my kind. It’s been a rare sight last few years. You most certainly didn't see any in the mines of Corvanis”. -

"Thank you, this is a real life saver right now" Maximilian said before taking a huge sip of the tea handed to him. It tasted just as old as one could've expected from the dusted box it came from. But damn did it do the trick. "And i would really appreciate if you did" he said with a genuine smile on his face. Maximilian took a stool and sat beside the Cladrasith that had spoken to him. "You mean there are others here as well?" He said before taking another sip of his tea, his curiosity having been sparked. "I'm Maximilian by the way, but i suppose Max is okay between colleagues. What has brought you to this establishment - and line of work, if i may ask?". The tea, while old, really did wonders to him, making him feel almost like the strenuous journey there hadn't taken place at all. Not to mention how long it had been since he last got his favorite type. -
Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Heroica Hall

Door to the repurposed hotel swung open and a rather tired looking figure entered. With a sigh Maximilian halted to fix the position of his worn-out military cap, making sure it was centered once more. Then with hurried gazes he located the only thing that could give a fresh start to his day – the bar counter. Long strides brought him to it just as his strength run out and he had to drop his bag to the ground, which it hit with loud thump. “Barkeep, one tea if you please. Specifically of the Cailaathian variety if you have any.” While waiting for the bartender’s response Maximilian looked around him. Unlike what he had expected, the lobby seemed rather cozy. Not only that but it seemed to be rather lively too, though he hoped his abrupt and loud arrival didn’t get too many judging stares. Nonetheless he could see himself liking it here. At least it was far better lighted than the Hydrocobalt mines. Not quite as well as the bunker city he had grown up back in Aluriel, but it was a step in the right direction for sure. Maximilian joins Heroica! -

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Alix replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Alright, thanks to you both for the rule clarification as well as encouraging words. Stories indeed are what i am most interested in creating, rather than "spamming" low effort creations. That sounds like a reasonable challenge. Maybe i'll try something similar, thanks for the tip! I may have already checked out the factions and done my decision on that front. Corrington does indeed interest me a great deal. -

Yeah that is what i was in a way expecting. Even if it isn't a competition, having literally unlimited pieces feels... well unfair. Yet since i fall to the category of no access to a real collection due to living arrangements i have no other choice. So glad to see they are encouraged even if it comes with a stigma. Thanks for your take Evancelt. -

What is the overall consensus on doing solely digital builds? I see that the rules allow them, but are they frowned upon or something? -
This build is really something. MOCs of this scale are somewhat of a rarity i imagine. I'm really enjoying the three level design with actual cannons, they make the ship a rather imposing sight. Looking forward to seeing it with all masts finished.

[OL - FB] Nouveau Oleandia Dock and Lighthouse
Alix replied to KotZ's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This build is a pleasure to look at. Though the lack of depth on the houses is perhaps a little distracting, making them seem a bit like old movie props, it is overshadowed by the sheer amount of detail. The lighthouse, dock and the varied roof techniques are truly inspired. -
[MOC] Nano city (game district) and some vehicles (updated 2021-09-19)

Beautiful work all around. The buildings are simple but striking and the car just screams cyberpunk. It has a lot of detail but doesn't go overboard with it. Really makes me want to go watch Blade runner again. -

Good design, especially the support pillars are to my liking. Not to mention the story that really brings the build alive. -
Quick or not, looks pretty darn good. Especially the face is impressive.
