I know there is an expression about how some guys think with their erm... private parts, but this is taking it to another level entirely. LOL!!! :-D :-D :-D
-
Wow, that's a really nice and detailed scene! *sweet* The photos are really close up though, I would've liked to have seen one of the MOC as a whole to get a better overview.

LOL, great vignette Sinister! I can actually distinguish several key features, which is quite amazing considering the scale you had to work in. You did an amazing job recreating Tabletown in microscale! :-D *y*

Come on guys, save the discussion on who made which MOC for later! The contestants chose to remain anonymous to ensure people vote unbiased. Even if you know who made what, please respect their wishes and don't go spoil it for the rest of us. Personally, I don't have a clue who made which MOC, and quite frankly I don't care either. I cast my vote based purely on which entry I liked best. Though both entries are fantastic creations, the second is definitely my favorite both in terms of overall design and use of colors (I especially liked the fighter, but the building is neat too). Great effort guys! *y*

Erm... don't wanna say much, but have you looked at your sigfig lately? X-D

Since all the great features and details have been discussed at length by other members, there's only one thing left for me to say about this creation: AWESOME!!!! *y*

Although I'm not familiar with the exact design of the engines, I don't see why you can't modify the engines slightly to fit a 3 wide connection instead of the 1x6 plate. And if that proves difficult because of the 45 degree rotation of the engines, you could always use clickhinges. Also, I'm not sure wether you should've kept the blue, it just looks a bit too colorful for my taste. Other than that, I really like what you've done here. Merging a Tie with a Y-wing is an interesting concept, though in practice it may not be very useful, since its both slow and vulnerable. Just try find a pilot willing to fly the damn contraption! ;-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! :-D You got the UCS MF? Nice going!!!! I'm sure you'll have loads of fun building that one!

Ah, should've known. Didn't know that was a rare piece, got several lying around somewhere. -
Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?

Since nobody asked, I figured everybody else knew what they are. Glad to see I'm not the only one who didn't know :-$ So, what are Shakos? -
Nice thought there Nadroj, but if TLC really had made the set like this, it would be so expensive only a handful of people would've actually been able to buy it. Still, the idea is very appealing...

Nice vig Dillon, but is it just the one pic? Would've liked to see more of it. *sweet*

LOL! Dream on Natelite! If only it were that easy, I'd polish all my grey and black Castle helmets, armour and weapons until they were nice and shiny metallic ;-) -
I most definitely agree to that! Hinckley, congratulations on your 31st birthday, I hope you have a great day today! Thanks for making such a great comic for Hinckley Mr. Mandalorian, and also my congratulations on your own birthday! My best wishes to the both of you! :-D

Brickshelf FIND: Reuse of juniorized airplane parts
TheFrisian replied to natelite's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I noticed the pics before I started reading the text, and the first thought that popped into my mind was: hey, that looks like Warcraft! So you're definitely on the right track here! *y* I'm not entirely sure about the wizards cape though, it just looks a bit too evil to me to be used on a good wizard. And I would suggest you swap the dark blue for the brighter classic blue and perhaps add a little more blue, since it's a pretty dominating color in the original image. -
A Hard Day's Fight - INTERACTIVE!
TheFrisian replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Skellies may be weak, but you're forgetting that they come in huge numbers, are impossible to kill since they're already dead, they never get tired, and know no hunger or fear. Sir Taindeath may be brave and strong, but even he gets tired eventually and can't go on forever... -
Even though in some fantasy books there is mention of large Dwarf armies, I agree with you that LEGO Dwarfs probably won't look as good in large numbers as other factions do. But is that really nescessary? Personally, I'd rather see the Dwarfs in a support role as part of the Crown army. Mining metals, creating weapons, perhaps as catapult or mortar teams (depending on wether or not your faction has reached the gunpowder era). There are lots of opportunities to put the Dwarfs to good use ;-)

Who would've thought of using those parts that way, ingenius! It may have started as a little experiment, but it turned out to be a great and imaginative MOC! *y* -
Now that you mention it, it does look a bit like that Zerg creep stuff! It also reminds me of the blighted ground of the undead faction in Warcraft, which probably comes a lot closer to the theme in the pictures.

When the first pic of the Dwarfs Mine was released, probably most of us imagined how this set could be built into a mountain to make it more like a real mine. Now that the set is available, it was just a matter of time until someone actually tried to build a mountain around it. Rebelrock has made some great MOCs before, and this one doesn't fail to impress either! He has paid a lot of attention to the detailing and put in a lot of minifig action, which makes it great fun to look at, study and admire his creation. *sweet* *y*

Your absolutely right ofcourse, but isn't that part of the fun? :-D -
Hinckley pretty much said it all. Again a true work of beauty, with great detailing and superb landscaping. However, the architecture of the tower is very similar to Bridgecastle and Marizaque castle, which is very nice in its own right but doesn't give us much variation. For your next MOC, I'd love to see you explore differend building styles as well. But all in all, I think you've outdone yourself again with this MOC, it's even better than the previous two! *sweet* *y*

That's a great idea! How about it Apache, feeling up to making a comic? ;-)

Those pics are absolutely amazing! The lighting is again perfect, it has a very dramatic effect! A big thumbs up from me *y*
