  1. I'm quite impressed by this MOC! Brick built ships usually have a tendency of looking rather crude and bulky, but I'm surprised how well this ship turned out. Even the plate built sail really complements the MOC. But my favorite detail has to be the barrels and chest floating in the water! *wub*
  2. The guys commenting before me pretty much said it all. Really nice cut-out techniques, great detailing, and great MOC overall! I especially liked the beams sticking out from the cut-out in the wall section, in my opinion one of the nicest details because it adds that realistic touch. *y*
  3. I for one am looking forward to seeing more of your Crusader MOCs! *sweet*
  4. Actually, the green Troll and the new helmets wouldn't be all that bad in my opinion. But I would mind if they changed the torso of the Orks, I happen to like those very much!
  5. Too bad the poll options weren't shifted by 5 years, it would've made it a lot easier to choose. In my opinion, LEGO had its golden age between 1985 and 1995, a really crappy period between 1995 and 2005, and with the current 2007/2008 themes things are really looking up again. But with the options being as they are, I voted for the (early) 90's.
  6. Can you feel the love? :-P Great vignette, I really like the fine detailing and the SNOT-finish. :-D
  7. HOLY CR*P!!! Thats one BIG display!!! (would love to get a load of those minifigs X-D)
  8. I can only just refrain myself from drooling all over my keyboard when looking at these pictures! I really have to get me some of these new Castle sets as soon as they're released in the Netherlands! *wub*
  9. You're welcome Sir Dillon, this creation is definately worth taking the time to comment on! I can understand why you like the use of slopes on the battlements, it makes the wall look so much more solid. Interesting technique for the chairs, never would've come up with that idea myself, just figured it had to be a new part or something! :-D
  10. Great scene! What inspired you to make a MOC of this historic event?
  11. Great review Doc! I'm sure tempted to get one of these, but I probably won't have the money after buying some of the 2008 Castle sets. :-D
  12. Any sightings in the Netherlands yet? Please tell me when they hit the shelves, I really want a bunch of those knights! :-$
  13. I think I have to agree with Zz-80, lots of great themes and sets were released that year. Still, the past year has been a good one as far as Castle is concerned, and next year also looks very promising.
  14. Because Sinner is a special case :-P
  15. Just gotta LOVE the ice!!! *wub* Kudos to the builder! *y*
  16. Either way, it looks big, menacing and intimidating! MUST HAVE! X-D
  17. Amazing how much you put in such a small and simple scene TinyPiesRUs. The pictures really tell the story, very well done. And very VERY funny! :-D
  18. At first glance, I think the scale of it is just a bit on the small side. Take the small tower in the corner for instance, it's so narrow that I find it hard to believe it fits a staircase or even a ladder to reach the battlements. And as Asuka already commented, the house is really lacking a fireplace and chimney. On the upside however, I really like the design style and overall appearance of this MOC. I for one am always very glad to see a brick built wall (in my opinion standard wall panels are simply to thin to be credible as castle walls) and I like how you interrupted the surface of the wall by offsetting the middle sections by half a stud. I'm sure this technique has been done before, but I can't recall seeing it used in a castle wall. And I am surprised at how good the blending of grey and bley looks in this MOC. Aside from the architecture, the landscaping and interiour really stand out. I'm usually not a big fan of BURP's, but you used them to great effect. The small tree is adorable, and the green plates on the rocks to simulate grass/moss really give that finishing touch. The interiour is very nice and detailed, and I find the chairs in particular very intriguing (really like to know what parts you used for the sides). In short, even though it's a bit small, I really like the look and feel of this great MOC. A big thumbs up from me *y*
  19. Who says we didn't? I sure noticed, I thought it was a very nice touch! :-D And I share your opinion that this creation is the best of these entries.
  20. WOW, that looks very intimidating! I LIKE IT!!! But I would love it even more if it's pushed by a big Troll.
  21. I'll forgive you this time :-P because otherwise I'd never have noticed this great MOC! Really nice work SirDillon! *sweet*
  22. My parents and most of my friends are either unaware of my LEGO hobby, or just plainly don't care. My girlfriend isn't really into LEGO as well, but she does get me LEGO presents sometimes, because she knows I value those above all other presents. Most people just give money, less fun but always useful.
  23. OUCH!!! Unfortunately, that sound is all too familiar to me as well, lost more than one piece that way in the past. :'-( (nothing really important luckily)
  24. Totally agree ON!
