  1. Thanks Engene! I noticed you are new to Eurobricks too, so a very warm welcome to you as well!
  2. Another great vignette Doc, the light from beneath is a very nice touch! You really have a flair for the dramatic! Ever thought about making follow-ups? I'm very curious about how the adventure ends for our brave knights!
  3. Great vignette Doc! It is fairly simple, but very dramatic. Especially the photos taken against the sky background really bring out the drama and action. My compliments!!! *y*
  4. Great find Legomilk! Judging from the set names, it's a really nice lineup for the coming year. I can't wait to see pictures of the sets, so I know which of the new sets I can start saving my money for, LOL! I really like the factions of this Castle theme, so far we've got Humans and Dwarves on the good side, and Undead and Trolls on the evil side. Still, I'm missing something... where are the Elves??? By the way, am I the only one who is reminded very strongly of Warcraft when looking at this Castle theme? Not that I mind though, I kinda like the game!
  5. Thanks for sharing Ben! It's really nice to read about what's going on behind the scenes at the design process. I noticed several great ideas that I really liked, especially the ones that focussed on every day medieval life, such as market stalls, stables for the horses, a kitchen to feed all the soldiers, and a fantastic water wheel powered blacksmith with lots of moving parts. I'd love TLC to produce sets like these (possibly all together in a "medieval life collection box" or something). And too bad they didn't make that skeleton dragon, it would have fitted nicely with the whole undead theme.
  6. LOL! Frysl
  7. Hi there Andrew, thanks a lot for that kind welcome. As a kid, I loved nothing more than to be able to escape reality and immerse myself into worlds that stimulated my (very lively) imagination. And quite frankly, that hasn't changed much. Even today I feel most drawn towards genres like science fiction, history and fantasy. It may come to no surprise that my first LEGO set in the early 1980's was a small Castle themed set (6022 Horse Cart), and that theme kinda stuck with me. Since TLC decided to revive the Castle theme into a whole new and improved reincarnation, you'll probably find me a lot in the Castle section. But I have also very fond memories of Pirates, the old Space themes and Star Wars, so I'll probably stray into those forums as well.
  8. Hi everybody! This seems to be the place to be to introduce myself, so here I am. About myself: I am 29 years old, I live in the Netherlands, and I've been fooling around with LEGO from a very early age on. As my nick I have chosen the name The Frisian, and I have been a regular visitor of the eurobricks forum for quite some time now. At first just because it is a great source of the latest LEGO news, but recently I also started to enjoy reading the conversations on the forum and more than once I was tempted to join in. That is why I finally decided to register. I don't know how often I'll be able to participate, but I hope my contribution will be appreciated just the same. The Frisian
