  1. That's what I intend to do with it as well... if I can find enough parts that is! Welcome to Eurobricks by the way!
  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!! I wish you both a great day and all the best for the year to come!
  3. True, there are too many catapults already, and in my opinion some with a better design as well. But my lack of interest in this particular set doesn't reflect at all on my opinion of this review, which I enjoyed very much! Please continue making great reviews like this one Grevious. *y*
  4. Launch.com, Coffee House radiostation.
  5. I don't have as much a problem with one or the other kind, but I do object to combining both kinds in one model. I try to build my models with either one or the other, to stay true to one style. Then I got both LEGO and catalogs that are older than you, LOL. Yes, I also saved every catalog since about '89. Actually, a friend got me an Austrian one (or at least I think it's Austrian) from '89, with an added page of the (then) new Pirates theme which wasn't in the Dutch version. Too bad it's far from in mint condition, like most of the older catalogs in my collection.
  6. Though ofcourse the matter is entirely in the hands of the admins, I would like to add that when people look for reviews, they probably first try to find it in the subforums of the themes they're interested in. At least, that's what I do.
  7. I'm so with you on that Copmike! In my opinion keeping the bags is a bit *wacko*. If you need bags to store parts in, sir Dillons suggestion of using zip-lock bags is much more sensible. I think a lot of LEGO-fanatics would consider me *wacko* as well for not keeping all the boxes :-$
  8. I hope you find the time, so far I really enjoyed your vigs! Love to see more!!! *wub*
  9. LOL! That is so recognizable! X-D
  10. Just wondering about your progress with the vigs. :-$ I'm really looking forward to seeing the end result!
  11. That's quite a nice army you've built! You could set up some nice battle scenes with that! *sweet*
  12. ROFL!!! (Roll Over Floor Laughing) Perhaps this topic should be renamed "What to do if you want to be banned". Still got a belly ache from laughing after reading the shouting post by Phes. Hilarious thread!!! :-D It started with a good question though, I ran into the same problem once or twice. I try to read every post in a topic, but some topics have been around for a while and gotten really long. Guess it's ok to skip a few pages here and there X-D
  13. Stardust. A really nice fantasy story with evil witches, flying pirates, fallen stars and an ordinary guy with a secret heritage he knew nothing about. Sounds lame and like it's been done like about a hundred times before (like so many other movies lately)? Go see the movie, then we'll talk again ;-) I for one enjoyed it very much, it has a nice and original story and it's packed with loads of humor! P.S. If you happen to see the trailer, it really doesn't do the movie justice!
  14. WOW, this is an awesome vid! Great sense of humor! I agree with Joe, this guy really deserves to win the contest!
  15. That is too bad Hein-Jan, may I ask why not? Personally, I'd like to see more Castle customs. Though I'm not familiar with Jeff's side of the story, from what you told us I think you have not been treated very fairly, both by Jeff and the FBTB community. But I'm glad you managed to turn this situation around and set up a successful business of your own! The experiences of Hein-Jan certainly prove your point Hinckley! An acquaintance of mine had similar problems when he tried to co-venture with another company. They sweet-talked him into making large investments in time, effort and money, but when it was time to hold up their end of the bargain, they left him standing in the cold. It was a hard lesson, but now at least he puts everything in writing.
  16. I totally agree, if they had refined the models and added a load of Jedi minifigs, it would've been a great set. I think a set like that would sell really well.
  17. WOW... ahem... very erm... disturbing charming!
  18. At least, tampons don't have a label "6-12 Years" on them. :-P They really should remove the upper age limit from the boxes, there are plenty people that are older who really enjoy LEGO.
  19. I agree with Andy, poly-bags may be a bit cheaper, but boxes provide much more protection for the parts. On top of that, boxes are also much easier to display and thus appeal more to potential customers. Besides, in the large quantities that TLC is going to produce these sets, the added costs of the boxes will be negligible.
  20. I was a huge Star Trek fan when I was younger, probably watched nearly every episode of every series over time. Oddly enough, the rather primitive Original Star Trek is one of my favorites. The interaction between Kirk, Spock and Bones is just superb. I also like Enterprise and Deep Space 9. I used to build microscale Starships out of LEGO, but that's a long time ago.
  21. Though a picture review is a great means to have a first impression of a new set, I'd love to read more about your personal opinion also. Features you really like or dislike, or neat little details that stand out to you. In my opinion, this would add to the value of the review. Still, I really like the way you did this review as well, perhaps you could combine the two review styles?
  22. When you look at the scans of the catalog, you'll notice on the Impulse page they come in small boxes. Nice thought there, especially for army builders it would be nice to have different heads. But from a production point of view it'll probably be more troublesome than its worth. I'm sure the Impulse sets will be a huge success, which means they'll probably make loads more. But when the next wave is released, I really can't say.
  23. If you buy LEGO, you can always say it's a gift for someone else :-D
  24. Better late than not at all... HAPPY BIRTHDAY Timento! :-D
  25. A new LEGO Calculater I can live with (although I haven't the faintest clue what I would need something like that for), I'm just glad i'm not Aries ;-)
