  1. I don't own all of them, but i own 8069 and it is a great technic set. Lots of functions and the mini LAs are cool. 9395 looks fine, but i say 8069 is far more perfect.
  2. The battery box is on the model, but i don;t keep the batteries in it. The outriggers are no good to hold the model, they are to flimsy :(
  3. This may sound a bit weird, but i have a problem with one of my display sets, 9397 Logging Truck. Because of the weight and the distance between the wheels, the middle part is a little saggy, and i'm afraid that the beams and the joints will be damaged. Should i be worried ? If so, what can i do to (beside take the set apart, because i want to keep it intact). ps: sorry for my english
  4. Well, where's the fun of having a set if i don't see it ? I buy them to build them and then, they're going on display.
  5. So here it goes: i have 5 sets till now, 4 of them are in the construction theme (love big yellow machinery). Here are 8069, 8053, 8043 and 8265 and some CMF to keep them company :D This is my brand new 9397 which i love, very nice truck.
  6. Model all the way. I have all my Technic sets on display and never intend to take them apart.
  7. 8043 because it looks awesome and it has 6 RC functions :)
  8. I looked online and i didn't find any Lego Stores in Prague, so i need your help guys. I'll stay 5 days in Prague and i want to buy some Lego but i can't find any shops, so if anyone knows some locations where i could buy Lego, please tell me. Thanks
  9. I made a few shots today, i hope you like them :) You can view them at high resolution here. Enjoy.
  10. S4 - Hazmat Guy - I really love the head piece, the gun and the facial expresion. S5 - Graduate - nice figure overall S6 - Genie - Aladdin look aline minifig, reallt love it S7 - Evil knight - awesome detail and black gear. I own only CMF from series 4,5,6 and 7, so overall, from this series, i think the Evil Knight tops them all.
  11. Another option could be the 8043 Excavator, you get 4 motors + IR + 4 LA + tracks + a real great gearbox. But, it is not the most easy set to put together.
  12. I buy Lego sets mainly because i love building them and it offers me a great satisfaction seeing that i made something with my hands. On the other hand, i think Lego models / minifigs look awesome in my display.
  13. Mainly i buy collectable minifigs in secret, but last year i bought the 8043 excavator in "secret". Yeah, like nobody would have noticed a big yellow thing on my Lego shelf (so i thought), but ever since i bought it, no one asked me where i got it.
  14. Until now i managed to find the Minotaur, Lady Liberty, Space Chick, Sleepy Head and Genie. I really like how the space girl has a hair piece and one helmet, but my favorite is the Genie. The only one that i want to add to my collection is the Surgeon.
  15. I can't say that i love PF, because they need some many fresh batteries all the time. For example, on my 8043 i need to swap my batteries every 2 weeks if i want to play with it, and that is not ok. Overall, i prefer to turn a knob manually, even though my finger hurt. Sets like 8265 / 8069 are perfect examples of sets that work like a charm without PF.
  16. Between those three, i think i like backhoe better. 8069 is such a good set for it's size, and it has some great play value.
  17. Just AWESOME, one great building you built there. Congrats.
  18. After seeing the second half sets i must say the helicopter is the best. I like RC models but this time, but the 9398 Crawler doesen't give me "that chill". Don't get me wrong, it is an awesome with all the new motors and stuff, but i think in the last years, there were much better flagships. A good example of a very good set that wasn't a flagship is 8265 Front Loader, which was almost as good as 8258. Even though 8265 is not motorized, i LOVE this set, maybe even more then 8043.
  19. So, this are my only SW sets i own, i think they are for the '99.
  20. All the sets that i buy (only Technic stuff) i keep for display. I have some old City sets that are in pieces, but if i had place i would build them for display.
  21. 8053, Mobile Crane put an end to my dark ages. I know, not a brilliant set, but i personally love it.
  22. I had to make the same chose one week ago, and after reading a lot of reviews i still wasn't sure what to get. So i went to a friend of mine who has them both. 8110 is a bigger set (parts and sheer size), it has pneumatics, very MOC friendly. On the other hand 8043 looks awesome (i really like earth-moving machines), it has lots of PF and it is remote controlled. The only downside of 8043 is that you have to buy lots batteries. For me, 8043 is much more appealing because of the tracks, PFs, and the fact it looks awesome. PS: Also, 8043 will be discontinued, so get it while you can.
  23. I found the problem and fixed it. Some of the cables weren't attached properly and that's why it didn't work. Although, the cable were loose because of the 1 x 2 Brick with Holes. Now that i figured this out, i can say that 8043 is a true wonder, i can say this is the best Technic - Construction set. I know this is not the topic for this, but maybe someone is interested in how the 8043 compares in size along other sets. 8043 vs 8265 vs 8069 vs 8053 PS: Big thx for you guys for helping me ;)
  24. Hey all. I know this is not a modification buy i have problems with my 8043 PF system. I just bought it, and i assamble it last night. The problem is tbe BLUE part of the controls won't work. The monors don't get any juice from the battery. Otherwise, the red part of the controls works perfectly. What have i done wrong ?
  25. Ok, so i want to buy one of those 2 sets in the next month, but i don't know which to get. I found them at the same price ( ~ 250 $) so price range is the same. Until i saw this offer i was sure that i was going to buy 8043, because i REALLY like it, but now, i'm confused. So, what should i get first ? PS: Set 8275 is 250 $ Second hand, and 8043 is NEW. LE: Sorry for my mistake and thank you for moving my topic here. Again, i apologize.
