Quick Question: Does the double VIP points promotion apply to a pre-order for August 1st. I cancelled my Walmart order for the BB shuttle cause obviously they fixed there error but I still want the set so I was wondering if i could take advantage of the double points. Anybody know if it applies?

Yah I forgot. I was more talking in the vain of UCS rather than random playsets.

I feel like this is unlikely cause they always release an exclusive set at SDCC and if I remember correctly TLG haven't ever revealed a non-exclusive at SDCC. I think they're gonna continue this terrible trend of letting their LAN members/mouthpieces reveal the sets after they do their little tweet or Insta post.

BB just keeps dropping incredible episodes and each episode just gives me more set ideas and theories so here they are.

This would be the the most bonehead decision Lego could make and because of that I'm sure you're right.

I agree it would be too soon but I think the UCS AT-AT coming out this year is precedent for multiple variants of ships being out on shelves together since the play scale version won't retire until at least 2022.

Pretty sure the exclusive retailer stuff only applies to us in the US and maybe Canada. Europeans can get the all of sets wherever they sell Lego and I think you guys also get the sets earlier cause street dating isn't a thing over the Atlantic.

I know it doesn't have a ton of screen time but I'd love an actual set not a foil-pack. Also I think there's only been one (maybe 2) lego versions and unfortunately I wasn't super into Lego back then. Also I think the foil-pack was only in Europe.

Friday is almost over and I have not received anything yet so I'm sure Walmart has corrected their mistake across the board; It was always too good to be true but we had hope and rebellions/early bad batch sets are built on hope. To be honest they should have released the BB set with R2 on May 4th for the launch of the TV show. It makes no sense to release it after the shows been released/ended when they had the model ready before the premiere and it would have created more hype among kids since Lego is, as I have been reminded, a "kids toy." (really large air quotes)

When I saw falcon post about it I thought it was fake but when I checked Walmart it was there and said Friday delivery so I ordered too. I'm still not fully convinced its real but I guess Friday night I'll know.

I don't think I'm over estimating the # of AFOLs as of late as Lego themselves that adult fans are purchasing a large number of their sets. I don't know if I'm the odd one out but my parents would never have spend anything more than 100-150 dollars on a toy so I'm pretty sure they know that the AFOL's are growing by the day. I'm pretty sure Lego asks on their website who you're purchasing for when you sign up for VIP and so they have the data on whose buying what and for who. My point of prequel stuff is that it shouldn't take a fan vote or a fan movement to make something that is obvisouly popular. I couldn't find CW sets in stores last August and had to wait till October to get a 501st BP. Also the young kids like myself who grew up with the CW are now entering the 18-30 age group where they can buy freely and so capitalizing on the CW popularity would be smart instead of making YET ANOTHER Luke's land-speeder and X-Wing.

That's the first UCS prequel set in over 10 years and we forced Lego to make it with a fan vote. Also it looks like the figures were getting in that set aren't the ones that were voted for. I don't care about cody but not getting a pilot is really disappointing and proves further Lego doesn't listen to the fans. The two new CW sets have come more than a year after the last CW episode aired and one of them is probably the worst duel set ever (I'd only get it to put Mando on the throne if that). So in short the failure of Lego Con is just a result of pattern from lego in regards to their most popular theme and its fans.

While I don't agree with the name change since the series is called Star "Wars" I think its generally a good thing that Disney is supporting BLM and trying to remove words like Slave from their work. The Slave 1 should still be the Slave 1 but things like slave Leia could use a change. On another note I think Lego decision making regarding Lego Con and set reveals shows they don't quite understand who their fan base is. The people who are diehard lego fans who will take 2 hrs to watch the Con don't want to watch fast interviews and the Lego version of Dora the Explorer. I know the Lego is still a kid's toy but its consumers in 2021 are not. The fact that they don't understand that coupled with the fact they don't seem to want to listen to fan demand (prequel UCS, CW sets, clones etc.) is really disheartening. What's worse is that this wave is fantastic and I really love the builds this year. The design team are doing great work but I think that Lego needs to make large scaled changes at the top to fix these issues.

I would love this and its a great sentiment but knowing Lego they'd never do something that cool cause it would be too "expensive" on their end. Also on another note on twitter some people are saying that there's a picture of Cody and the gunship going around. It seems to good to be true but if it is real that'd be legendary and I think it would be a giant step in the right direction for Lego in terms of giving fans more stuff they want from prequels/CW.

Other than the amount of minifigs per set I can see Lego actually doing this. Unlike other wishlists in the thread it takes from all trilogies which I think is more likely than just prequel era (which I would love but is never going to happen). I think if each of these system sets came out their prices would be 10-20 dollars higher and have one less fig each but I would absolutely love this wave and buy every set here.

I can't find one for a reasonable price on ebay/bricklink and going off how people here and on youtube talk about it I need if for my Boba Fett collection. Also kudos on finding a girl who likes Lego and you, I'm still looking.

Watch the BB episode before clicking on this cause it really is fantastic.

I guarantee all they'll reveal is a single Mandalorian set that we've already seen so I'm not getting my hopes up. Also while I love the wave IMO there is a real problem with the BB set. These are main characters in a new popular piece of SW media and Lego should make accurate figures. If they can make a new mold for Gar Saxon (which I love) who appears for about 10 minutes total in 2 CW episodes they should be able to make a crosshair helmet with holes since he's in a 4 episode arc and a main villain in BB.

I was hoping that Disney would "make" Lego make special figures since the show has succeeded and is the new animated SW that's aimed at kids. Crosshair was the perfect opportunity to make a P2 helmet with a hole for rangefinders that could be modified for later clones like Rex or Cody. It looks like Crosshair will be the main villain for the season so to mail it in with his fig shows Lego just DGAF cause they know there are people who will say "its good enough" and they'll still make their profits cause they grossly over price sets like the BB. Worst part is I really hate action figures so I can't even switch to Black Series even though Hasbro keeps making all the characters I/we want. We've also had over 10 new show announcements for future SW shows and 3 of those shows have/are airing in the last year and a half. Yes we have 5 new molds of which two should have come out last year and 14 new characters of which 10 should have come out last year with their shows (Armorer, Gar Saxon, Bo-Katan, Mandalorian Loyalist, Moff Gideon, Mortar Trooper, Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair.) The same logic applies to the 70 new prints cause in reality Lego should have made the CW7 stuff last year and the shuttle last year too. Saying we got so much new stuff without context isn't a fair counter to fan unhappiness with lack of new main character molds.
