Definitely should have picked up on it, or at least a hint of it, when the Orcs chased Nyssa down to where the fight was. But of course, I was too focused on winning the fight . Thormanil's been used as a pawn one too many times. I think he's grown a wee bit tired of it.

Just noticed, but somewhere between page 23&24 Arasmyth seems to have picked up an extra Topaz, heh Before answering Rogue, Thormana takes a moment to check the Archivist's pockets for the wealth he had offered in exchange for the orcs. "That ain't what we signed on for, Rogue. We've got some personal business to attend to, so I'd rather not have to get rough with y'all. Now, I don't know what kind of morals you've all got, but killin' a kid doesn't seem like any way to get revenge. If you've got nothin' else to live for, then die on the field of battle, takin' out as many of these crazies as ya can. Or at least use her to get to their leader." Thorm hoists up Arasmyth's body and slings him over her shoulder. "But that's up to y'all. Tell ya what. I'll take Arasmyth and be on my way if you give me the hundred gold ya promised me... and your boots, Rogue. I'd just ask that whatever you do to the kid, you wait til I'm outta earshot."

I think Jeb gets the award for the truly deadliest quest to date If Ad-hoh does end up selling the lens to Arthur, I hope he remembers who suffered through an extra several rounds of abuse to get the lens in the first place!

I might rename "Fight to the death", perhaps "Marked for death"? The current wording makes it sound like the Swashbuckler and their target would be locked in a duel until one of them dies, when really the target just takes big damage and is set up for even worse damage.

An old soldier relieved of duty with a short fuse? I can definitely see Raider working for him, heh. If you're out to strike it big, then be warned--it'll be situational at best.

Psshh, Guts is the one who ruined it for the rest of the Raiders, up-and-coming or otherwise, by mugging the megablocks out of that one battle. Now we have to get creative to really strike it big

Just wait, sheeesh. If I lose a lot of gold, I lose a lot of gold and Thorm has to dance on the weekends to pay for his room and board. Thank heavens he picked up that Gender-swap mask. Actually, there's not a very large capital cost to this, provided he has the right party members with him. I promise, all will be revealed in due time. Now hurry up with that Unlimited quest, and find me a good batch of enemies to go after.

But.. think of all the money! I really do need to go raider for a little while to both test out my theory, and to pad Thorm's wallet a bit. I guess I'll have to make two trips to the Fields: One short trip for wealth, and then a longer one for progress, heh.

Because it's oh so hard to come up with ways to take a character who just recently decided that he didn't want to go around mugging people, and make them say, "Y'know what I feel like doing today, tomorrow, and for the next few weeks? Mugging people!" Thankfully, Jeb has set Thorm up for that pretty well (and I didn't even have to ask!)

It's a nasty habit to try and break, heh.

Like I said, I think it's a good idea. I just proposed an alternate method of acquiring it, heh.

Heh, Thorm could heal himself to near-full at 2x health in a single cast with current equips. I'm looking to the future, when double health will mean pools upwards of 100hp. In and of itself, it's not overpowered, but I can see it being an annoyance to balance around when one hero (especially a tanky hero) has one but none of their party members do.

How screwed Thormana almost was? Hah, Thorm was just letting them get overly comfortable. I like the idea, though. Obviously we'd encounter some ridiculously large hero health pools later on, but as long as it was sufficiently difficult to obtain en masse, it wouldn't be too big of a problem. If the price was just exorbitantly high, I think we'd only see a larger gap between the haves and have-nots (gold-wise), so maybe some other method of obtaining them that makes them accessible to more folks than just those with disposable incomes? Maybe obtainable through the Fields of Glory?
