  1. It's true, but I have neither (well, I will have a longsword soon, but fat lot of good that will do me as a Dragoon! Heh). Then, of course, there's the matter of a shield... So much to do, so little gold! Haha Ah, makes me wish I'd picked up a Diamond instead of an Amethyst, then. I hope to see more darkness spells being cast so that I can feel like my armor is more useful than the gem could have been offensively!
  2. Been super busy with term papers and finals, only been able to lurk around here, heh. If you don't mind paying while Thorm and Arthur are in the Hall now, that'd be great. Puts me much closer to having the funds to complete a trade with Docken. Now I just need Haldor to get back here, and I'll be set! I wish any of the weapons I have/will be acquiring were more suited to a certain strain of draconian warriors. I'm going to have to build my armory from the ground up eventually. So if anyone wants to buy that Tailblade (12 WP. Come on, before that becomes the norm! Haha)... In my lurking, I saw someone ask a question about artifacts that were resistant to a certain element, and if that meant it had a gem in it that you could extract. If there was a clarification on that, I must have missed it. Could someone catch me up to speed on that?
  3. Thormanil approaches Portia's shack and sells a Phoenix Essence(25) and Remedy(5) for 30 gold. With 254 gold now in his pocket, he walks over to Elphaba's wagon and purchases an Amethyst(100), an Opal(100) and a Scroll of Sealing(50), leaving him with a meager 4 coins.
  4. "Ah, Arthur, you should know that there's little I like more than a good adventure, but like I said, I've got myself rooted to the city for a while. Won't be goin' out anywhere, any time soon. I'll make ends meet one way or another, but since you've got places to be, I can spare ya a bit of gold." Thormanil passes 76 gold to Arthur. "Don't go spendin' it all in one place! Hah!"
  5. Aha, I would, but my shopping list is mostly based around Elphaba's wares. Alas!
  6. A quest should be like a skirt: long enough to cover the important stuff, but short enough to keep things interesting! Had to. Quest length here frequently comes down to availability of players and QM, how well time zones and availability synch up, etc. Quests that are designed to be fairly short can drag on, while longer quests can move along quickly. It's a lot easier to RP a conversation when everyone can post in the same block of time, rather than having a conversation as a series of posts over a day or more. As has been said, as long as a quest can move at a reasonable pace, I rather like longer quests. Of course, with more people hosting, there's a lot more options (lots of creativity and different styles and etc etc!), and being on a longer quest can mean you miss out on some really awesome shorter quests. In other news, hey, someone, buy Thormy's Tailblade. And rent his boots. He needs cash and he needs it now, and so far, I haven't seen a Eubricified JG Wentworth!
  7. "Hah, how the mighty've fallen! Just days ago we were talkin' bout gettin' rich, and now yer here askin' for handouts, Arthur!" Thormanil laughs, "I've got some things that need tendin' to around the city before I head out anywhere, else I'd love to join ya. Personally, I'm hopin' to pick up a gem or two for myself while Elphaba's still around and I told a friend I'd pick up a few items for them, as well. Stretchin' myself mighty thin! If I could only sell this Wyvern's Tailblade (WP:12) for a good price, I'd be set, but I can't think of anyone around the Hall right now who'd want it and who could afford a price I'd like. It'd cost nearly 700 gold to make a new Mockthril weapon hit as hard as this baby. Maybe I could loan it out at a cost, or even loan out these boots, since they just refuse to fit on my feet. They've gotta be cursed or somethin', it's like they shrink whenever I try to put 'em on!" "How soon are you heading out? I'd like to help y'out as best I can."
  8. Is it safe to assume that the hide regains 10 health/5 ether each time an enemy is killed? I mean, that's the most logical and common-sense assumption, but still seems wise to ask. It is incredibly strong right now, when your average enemy should be able to be dropped in 5-ether-worth of heals/damage (considering heals and offensive spells), but as time goes on, heroes will get larger HP/Ether pools and enemies will have much, much more health, so at some point, the wearer won't be regaining 100% of what their expending. Still, an incredibly powerful sustain-focused item.
  9. Thanks a lot, Sandy. Now when I go home this December, I'm going to have to do a *ton* of cleaning/home repair on our not-quite-rain-proof basement. And here I was hoping to just have a month to myself in my old family home! Grumble grumble stupid sandy grumble grumble.0
  10. The Copper Fox addresses Thormanil as he enters the Training Room: "Welcome back, Mr. Nihai. What can I help you with, today?" "Heyo, Fox. My pockets, they're feelin' pretty empty lately. I need to hang up the healer's mantle and tend to my wallet, y'know?" "Raider it is, then, Nihai." After a healthy refresher on the stealth arts, Thormanil leaves the Training Room as a mildly proficient Raider.
  11. Fair enough! I looked through your Flickr pictures, and realized that yours actually opens up for fig storage/"play features"--something I rarely do when making models, heh. Looking at the side-shot in your Flickr, then comparing it to http://images2.wikia...-SuperTanks.png , you might benefit from making the central (and tallest) part of the back-shell able to rotate around the wheels' axle. It would be both functional and true to the source, allowing you to show off the interior by rotating the shell towards the back of the tank, which would also reveal those mortars (if they are relocated). I haven't seen the tank in the show, but I imagine that's how it works (may be wrong, though). The tail of the tank also seems to have a much longer and gentler slope than yours, worth considering. I really hope I don't seem like I'm nitpicking, heh, but my apologies if I come off that way.
  12. Thormanil nods to Jess in appreciation, "Thanky, should come in quite handy." As he takes the blade, he feels a chill run down his spine. "Huh, heck of a time for a breeze to roll through.." he mutters.
  13. I'll apologize up front for being blunt (and perhaps a bit harsh). You're referring to this http://starwars.wiki...wiki/Super_tank right? Yours appears to have a much wider stance than the source. The front (cockpit?) on the source sweeps up and back, into the slightly-wider shell of the rear half of the vehicle, whereas it sort of just sits there on yours (and doesn't stretch quite as high). Perhaps my biggest question--Where's the awesome double cannon/mortar that pokes out from under the shell near the top of the tank? It's not a bad start. Pinch the sides in a bit and scale the cockpit a bit so that it more closely resembles the source, and you'll be well on your way! Edit: I was bored so I LDD'ed up a sample of how I would go about doing the front section of the vehicle. I'm bad with curved surfaces, heh.
  14. "I 'spose you could call it schemin'. He's got a heckuv'an imagination on him. We traded war stories and eventually I asked him if he'd like to help keep some poor sap alive while I took every coin they owned. He took that plan and ran with it and now, well.." Thormanil turns to Jess "Yer sword, Jess. Arthur says it's a cursed blade. I ain't one for superstitions, but he's got it in his mind that your little stabby-sword can be of help. We're fixin' to go to the fields soon. D'ya think I could borrow yer toy for our little venture?"
  15. Maybe he was adding salt to the gaping wound on the sleeping dragon's back that happens to be spewing what I assume is blood and gold coins? Also, technicality: You pictured Thormy using a rapier (foil?). He would never use such a fancypants 'weapon'!
  16. Is that a scroll in Arthur's hand, or a Salt Shaker?
  17. Has Flipz spilled any of the proverbial beans, or are you piecing things together somehow? It's a much evolved version of my original idea (which I'll put forth once we get this one underway), but it should prove to be much, much more profitable.
  18. "Haldor's lover, eh? Guess I could make life easy 'n just hover 'round Haldor til she shows up." He sidles over to where Haldor is sitting and waits for Jess to join the man
  19. Oh crud, CMP figured out Plan A. Time for Plan B!
  20. "Shhh, person-shrouded-in-shadows, yer taking all the suspense out of it! But yes, that we are. The pieces're all fallin' into place. I just need to find Jess and borrow that sword of hers.. By the way, who's Jess?"
  21. Wait, who exactly was selected for Quest 49: Jess (MaskedBuilder) *Party Leader* Masked, or Sisco? If it's Sisco, then Thormy needs to hurry up and find Jess in the Hall.. heh
  22. Come one, come all, witness some of the least inspired and most directed 'roleplaying' I shall ever partake in! Tickets are just 5 gold at the door.
  23. Thormanil entered the Hall, groggy and disoriented. He wasn't quite sure how he'd gotten back to the Hall, but here he was. One thing he did know was that he was in the mood for some high-class wine. As he approached Schezerade's bar, faces in the crowd began to trigger hazy memories. The feeling was akin to trying to remember a dream when one wakes up, but Thormy couldn't shake the feeling that these were more than a dream. Making his way through the bar, Thormy recognized many of the faces, but was caught off guard when a man he had never met before struck him as familiar. The man wore a pointy blue hat, and Thormy felt compelled to strike up a conversation about the two things he loved most--fighting and gold!
  24. So I don't think this is exactly a bug, and certainly not one exclusive to this version, but it seemed like this was an appropriate place to post/ask, as opposed to making a new thread. I've got a pretty solid tower. I've done lots of CAD work on it with no issue. I can use MLCAD and SR3D just fine. However, LDD frequently lags/hangs when I'm using it, especially when I'm dealing with plates. The model display will freeze as-is, and only reflect changes after I make that change, as opposed to real-time dragging objects around. I pick up a piece and try to move it, but its model stays in place, while I'm left dragging around an invisible entity, one that doesn't outline a piece in green when it's trying to snap to it, etc. LDD is still working and I can place the piece, I just can't see myself moving and placing the piece. I've run into the problem when I try to mess with very large files, but plates seem to be a death sentence for even new files. I've tried various display settings but encounter it regardless. Any thoughts?
