  1. I hate sand... Yeah. I don't know that it would really happen either way, but we'll see. The release of Ben's hut made me more hopeful for a set like that.
  2. I'm honestly kinda intrigued to see what LEGO can do with this Landspeeder set (assuming the rumors are true). The way I see it, LEGO has done all of the main OT ships and vehicles (with the AT-AT coming this fall), so it makes sense to do some of the semi-iconic smaller vehicles from that trilogy. While I know a lot of people want more prequel UCS sets (though I don't really hear about many people desiring sequel UCS sets (which I feel would have some pretty cool vehicles)), the fact is that LEGO seems to really want to focus on the older adult market with these sets. Yes, people who watched CW and the sequel trilogy are going to be 20ish now depending (at least), and I'm sure they will get UCS sets in their time, but for now, LEGO has a track record of OT UCS sets selling well, and I think they want to maintain that for their "collectors" line. Like they said (however you want to get annoyed with how they phrased it (whether rightfully so or not-I'm not going to start a discussion about this) ), the Gunship is going to tell them a lot about prequel UCS sales. This isn't to start a discussion about the gunship. It is to say that they have a point. From a business perspective, LEGO has been selling OT UCS sets quite well - to the point where they can remake an R2-D2 set from 2012 and very few people really complained that it "took a UCS slot." They haven't had much in the way of prequel sets. It's kinda a "if it ain't broke" situation for them. The gunship is a way of testing the waters to see if large scale UCS prequel sets can do well by making a very iconic vehicle from the prequels and CW (which is pertinent right now). Another way I was thinking about it was that the Landspeeder is Star Wars version of the Aston Martin or the VW bug. It's the closest to an "iconic car" that Star Wars has, and they know how well that kind of simple but nicely designed vehicle sells, so they are just expanding that to the Star Wars line with this vehicle to test (not that they have many other speeders they could really do). It's honestly an understandable business choice with a well-known vehicle that many people recognize and/or have seen real versions of at exhibits around the world. It also gives opportunity for a lot of really cool building techniques. While this would be cool, I don't see it happening so soon after the Cantina (another Tatooine MBS). I certainly wouldn't object to a nice Lars Homestead though.
  3. I wonder if a Cafe Corner redesign could be in order as a hotel for the 15th anniversary. Considering how much LEGO is willing to do rereleases/remakes of late, I wouldn't necessarily be surprised...
  4. Honestly, a part of me wonders if this could be due to the issues with Assault on Hoth a few years ago. They feel like they want to play it safe by releasing everything at once so that there can't be issues with no Rebel/Imperial sets to go with the given UCS at release.
  5. Does anyone know what the small 1-2 logo means in the bottom right of the box?
  6. Have we heard any more about the new modular-esque building for NC?
  7. As much as it doesn't look particularly thrilling, what are the expectations for the AT-AT exterior? I mean, other than some vents and such, it really isn't much more than a large grey box with legs and a head, and the details on these legs at least definitely don't look too bad. (This is coming from someone who likes the AT-AT)
  8. Honestly, I feel like that could work well if they decided not to do a new mold, but I could definitely see Dafoe getting a new mold, especially since there aren't that many other new molds they would necessarily need.
  9. I thought I heard a rumor about this on Instagram, unless I’m completely wrong. If so, I apologize. I wasn’t trying to mislead anyone.
  10. I had heard rumor of a micro scale Disney castle coming as a GWP? Is that still true, and do we know when that will be available?
  11. I was pretty sure I remembered hearing that the winner of the fan vote for a D2C set based on a retro theme would be released this year. Do we have any more info on that set at this point? If a similar chat already exists, or if this is in the wrong section of the forum, I apologize.
  12. I asked this earlier, though it may have gotten lost in the replies: Can anyone tell just how large this set is? Hedwig is definitely a large sized creature, but I can't make out exactly how tall and wide this build may end up being.
  13. Can anyone tell how large the set is? Trying to figure out size, but any pictures I find of the back of the box are too blurry.
  14. Does anyone know if Target is getting the Meditation Chamber set in the US? I’m seeing it on Walmart’s website, but not Target’s.
  15. Honestly, I think people are forgetting that LEGO branded this as an episode II set when it was in the vote. Whether people voted for Cody or not, it wasn’t going to make it in the set for that reason alone. I know LEGO asked for what figures we wanted for the set, but, in the same way as they wouldn’t have put a Jar Jar in the Nebulon if he was most voted for (since to the best of my knowledge he’s never on a Nebulon :) ) they didn’t put Cody in an episode II Gunship. (Yes. Jar Jar is far different than Cody, but the point is still there.) Also, as much as there’s a vocal group wanting Cody, I honestly would be interested to know actual percentages for characters people voted for in this set. Like someone said a while ago, there’s a good chance plenty of people voted for one Jedi or another (not Jedi Bob) or some kinds of clone trooper. We really don’t know. I’ve seen a lot of people suggest that LEGO just shouldn’t have done the vote since they weren’t going to listen to what was requested anyways, but again, the vote was for figures to go with an episode II gunship. If a majority voted to put Jar Jar in the set, I would assume (and hope) they wouldn’t listen and put other requested figures in instead. (I know Cody is desired and far different than Jar Jar)
  16. What parts are being used for the bubble turrets? I’m having a hard time figuring that out.
  17. He just posted what sounded like a sound clip from AOTC of the gunship on Geonosis with the words "Can't Wait."
  18. Awesome! Thanks! More than anything, I wanted to make sure that the stands didn't cause any sort of sagging or stress if the falcon was kept in that position for more than a brief time.
  19. Does anyone know if Fulcrum's recent instagram story post is referring to an impending reveal of the gunship?
  20. Hello y’all! I am considering purchasing 75192 before it retires. However, I don’t have a lot of room, so I would almost definitely need to get a vertical stand to position it. For those who have used vertical stands to display their Falcons, are there any stands that you would particularly recommend? Have any stands used seemed to cause any sagging or stress on the set over the years? Thanks!
  21. I’m a bit confused? What is so bad about Wanda’s hair?
  22. While I know we've all seen the set, it isn't particularly unexpected. A lot of general LEGO fans wouldn't have seen it yet, and it'll definitely be a popular one when it releases. I know it's easy to complain since we've seen it for a while, a lot of people really haven't.
  23. Just a heads up: I just saw 76393 in my local Target, so they’re starting to show up in stores.
  24. Could we be getting scarlet spider? Especially as he’s on the screen on the Bugle?
  25. I know it’s a bit upsetting that they changed the reveal date, but we also need to remember that the average consumer doesn’t even know these sets are coming. Yeah, we’ve seen all the leaks, but not everyone has, and it’s just as much of a surprise for those who don’t know about these sets whether they’re revealed today or in a week. Now they’ve just set it up to have a big reveal of the Bugle and the main wave together as a “special reveal,” which won’t really hurt them either.
