  1. You can always contact the Dutch clubs : De Bouwsteen , a group of builders / collectors , these are organized in a Club, and Lowlug. these are organized online . You can always try BeLug, de Belgian club who has some very good builders in their mist. ( I'm a member of Belug and do a show with them in November in Antwerpen ) You should hold in mind that you need a lot of permissions, ensurance and safety rules in place if you start something like this, it's quite hard to do something like that over here. Good luck !
  2. That shouldn't happen ... the pin should accept the rods with ease. I never had that problem , good luck trying ! grtz Saint
  3. And that's it, no bridges ... there're junction track's out there, but harder to come by. If you search for the terms bridge + train + lego, you should get a lot of results and ideas.. making a ramp for a bridge is more challenging .. all depending on your own brickstack , you can do antything ! grtz Saint
  4. A piece of a "Venator" on Minifig scale !! We calculated how long the whole thing should be in mf scale.... but that is impossible ! AT-AT in the proper scale, AT-TE too , build a bigger diorama for my LAAT-I fleet , there is still a lot on my LEGO-Bucket list Grtz Saint
  5. Do't part them out ! Just take your modulair buildings apart, bag them floor by floor and put them in the box ... that way you know what and where they are ! If you want to start building all sorts of things, Bricklink is you best choice... seriously ! The aftermarket value of the modulairs is way to high just to sort them out, and most parts are ready availible on Bricklink... and that will keep you busy for a long time. If you start by building virtualy ( through LDD , LEGO Digital Designer ) , you can keep the cost down and buy only what you need... More common sets ?? Part those out and build with that ! Hope this helps a bit ! Gtrz Saint
  6. Wow ! This is by far the BEST mech I've seen in a long time !! Tried to build it with real bricks already ?? grtz Saint
  7. 30 - 10 5 - 6 6 - 4 26 - 3 41 - 2 45 - 1 Good luck to all !!
  8. Wow ! Only thing I can see is that the "bulb" seems to be facing a little bit upward , instead of straightforward... or is it just me ?? Grtz Saint
  9. And the fun starts when you breakdown the set and start exploring your own imagination ! grtz Saint
  10. You should try the revell spraycans ... I don't know if you can get them Stateside... but their light grey is 99% compatible. Good hunting ! Grtz Saint

    LAAT-I

I suspected 2 clones of doing that at night !
  12. Hah ! I thought myself a "purist" for a long time... until I ran into a small problem I couldn't fix with the parts I had.. So I took the next best thing and glued 2 pieces together , thus making my own part.. and did the same thing with some tiles , glued and cut to size . And yes, those parts can really be used in that context and for nothing else. ( but they're white, not my primary building color ) . So it made perfect sence to me ! It's not for the cost of the parts for me, I just wanna make the best looking models out there.... so if that means cutting up a piece or 2 ... so be it ! Grtz Saint

    LAAT-I

Aside from working on my CTT ( see other topic ) , I also had a LAAT-project. I started this project about a year ago , just inbetween the 7676 and the latest incarnation 75021. In total I've build 8 of these little monsters, all with their own markings on the wings. The thing I liked about the 7676 was the nose with the cargohold, so I kept that, made it a bit smaller like the 75021 , replaced the bubbles on the side with brickbuild bubbles and replaced the bubbles on the wings by turrets , like they should be. The underside is totaty SNOT build using slopes , and an illigal conection for the angle makes up the underside of the nose. To be honest, there's 3 parts I did make myself, in the nose I glued a 1x1 brick and plate together so the nose keeps together , and on the doors, I've glued and cut 2 tiles 2x4 .( It isn't noticed by most, and I think that LEGO should bring out more tiles in differend forms ) I hope you like it ! Grtz Saint
  14. You're righ,Robianco ! I showed some initial picture's to a friend of mine.. but until he saw it in person he couldn't grasp the scale of the project... that is why I'm sitting in front of the model . grtz Saint
  15. Alas .... there's no suspension... It's simply to big to be resting on it's own weight ! I haven't weigh it ... but I reckon that it's between 15-20 kilo's ... there's a lot of technic beams on the inside ! Grtz Saint
  16. Hello Eurobrickers ! It has been a while since I posted a MOC here... and this is the reason : Over the past 3 years I've been planning and building this massive project , a Clone Turbo Tank or Juggernaught . I've displayed it on the "brickmania" show in Antwerp on the weekend of 15-16 november as a first, most picture's were taken there by other people and I like the oppurtunity to thank them ! The "tank" has a 50K + parts in it, one wheel alone counts for about a 1000 parts, they're build up with technic beams and are plated over. the whole of the tank breaks down into 28 seperate parts , has a light option in the bridge and ( for me ) more importent , it can be detailed on the inside. Now I know, some will say it's to big.. and I couldn't find any reference that it should be this and that height, so when I started, I thought of 1 thing : 300 clones + equipment, AT-RT's and speeders... that is going to be one BIG CTT... so I did ! I went on planning and constructing the wheels first, and 10-fold building isn't hard, but still a pain in the megablock ... the wheels alone took me a week or so to complete ( inbetween work and household stuff ) . Since I only had the "Incredible Cross Sections" book and a very small model to build from, I had to really come up with so many differend things, I couldn't keep track of all things. The only thing I didn't like on the original model , was the laser on top, IMHO , it was to flimsy, so I made another cannon on top. http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=550024 And here is the full galery , I'm sorry but I still cannot place the picture's as it should, I hope you like the CTT ! I've put the gallery on the Flickr too : http://www.flickr.com/photos/115031425@N04/sets/72157649468729312/ Grtz Saint
  17. .... speechless !!! I salute you , this is great !! grtz Saint
  18. Brasso, the copper cleaner, not the silver... that and a lot of rubbing will take care of that... how smoother the survice , the better it will come off... grtz Saint
  19. As said above . We had a great show !! Each year the MOC's are getting better and better ! My thnx go out to the BeLUG organisation and all the atendents ! Grtz Saint
  20. Yep ! I'm going to exibit my latest MOC ( after 3 years in the planning and building ) ... Just look out for a CTT ( Clone Turbo Tank ) ... always nice too meet fellow Eurobrickers !! Don't forget to take picture's !! grtz Saint
  21. Win ! -no need to say more- Grtz Saint
  22. Perhaps I got the "solution" you need. http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=greenman .... This store has the glue you need, thin as water, and comes in a small bottle. You only need to apply ( and there is the problem ) with a small seringe and needle... Years ago I had some model glue from Faller, a german model brand for trains. that had a needle-like tube. Never found it in store's anymore though. Hope this helps a bit. Grtz Saint
  23. Yes, it does.... Smitty500 said so in the text ! This looks amazing ! Not all of us can make a full scale tri-droid, so this is a great guide-line to build one yourself ! Nice use of the DS, Smitty500 ! Keep it up ! grtz Saint
  24. I colorded a few parts myself a couple of years ago, using the Revell spraycan.. ( It was siver , so I don't have any reverence of other coulors ) ) and I found out that the survece was just a little bit rougher than used to be ( that can be my imagination ) , I applied it 2-3 times without a basecoat, and to this date, it still remains on the parts... even mixed with other parts.. Funny to see the chrome disapering and this silver staying on nicely . Grtz Saint
  25. I would advice Revell spraycans. Just before putting it on, sand it up ever so lightly with the finest sandpaper there is...Perhaps wet sandpaper is best. Aply 2 or 3 coats, and I think you got the best result. Like said above, just try it on something else before you do an airtank. just don't forget to plug the airholes grtz Saint
