  1. Hey Rob, loved the M-tron inspired space miner! Thanks for giving space some much needed love. I also really dug Chaplin and Calaca, although I'll admit the puppet was a little unsettling .
  2. I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you mind getting blocked from doing returns (not only at BN) in the future. Apparently there are now companies that have databases of people who return stuff. Once you've returned things too often, they add you to some blacklist, and the worst part is several different stores are using this information. It has happened to people who weren't trying to do anything fishy. Personally I try to return stuff only when I need to.
  3. You're probably better off buying it from the secondary market, then. You just have to wait for the prices to drop as these are gradually released.
  4. I've read a comment on Brickset from someone who claimed to have spoken with a BN manager who said they had received a message from corporate saying they shouldn't have even sold these and that they'll be part of a promotion in the future. On TheBrickFan someone claimed to have read somewhere that these will be a GWP in November so that would be consistent with that. So don't buy on eBay just yet, US folks!
  5. I've suspected some people with insider's knowledge about BN. Honestly none of the Lego outlets saw this coming until it was too late.
  6. So at this point regarding the Bricktober pack in the US it seems like our only option is to wait and see if more packs get released either at BN or Lego? Nothing else to do at the moment?
  7. Distribution in the US is a mess. This is frustrating and I hope we see these packs in shop at home later in the year.
  8. Not sure if it's been mentioned but there's a pic of 2099 Spidey at the usual place. So overdue! I'm very excited.
  9. When are we likely to hear the results of the last review period? I'm eager to know if they'll make the Flintstones set or not.
  10. Classic TRU customer service. Honestly not surprised they went broke.
  11. They're also pretty colorful, which is a plus for me. Those sets are usually great deals.
  12. Personally I'm just hoping the wave doesn't have so many figures that I can't catch up! It's been a challenge!
  13. Why does Malcolm look so tanned?
  14. Holy cow, keen eye! If we do get this as a set, we could see new versions of the Weasley twins, which have been greatly been overdue in my collection for years!
  15. Thanks for posting this link! Great read! Oooh, a sci-fi series would be sweet... I thought this part was interesting: "There’s been a lot of controversy in the AFOL community about the police officer being so hard to get. Does the inclusion of these “chase figures” really help sales? Tara: That’s a good question and I’m not on that end of things, so I can’t confirm or deny that. I don’t know. But there must be a reason for them to want to do it. Tara: I think that in this case we know we wanted to pay homage to the fact that this was the 40th anniversary special, and we know that people would be interested in it, but of all of the characters, this one we thought maybe would be more interesting to the fans than it would be to kids. And we are primarily selling these to kids. So it was a bit of a compromise, a strategic decision to say, “we want to include it, we don’t want to have too much of it, how do we do this?” Obviously, there was pluses and minuses to doing something extremely rare, like Mr. Gold, that we’ve done in the past, so we felt that this was a little more fair." So they're aware that people don't like chase figures being so hard to find, yet they did it with Graves. I wonder if that had to do with the amount of figures in the series. Unlike with the policeman, that has a higher potential to upset kids. I really hope this does not become a trend.
  16. I have a feeling that Lego has gotten better at containing leaks. Didn't we get info much before back in the day? Oh man, I really hope we do get S19 next year.
  17. I cannot for the life of me believe that we haven't gotten a teacher in a CMF yet. Someone in my family is a teacher and is always asking me if there is any in the new series!
  18. Darn it! Oh well, that would be good for my wallet, I guess. I've even struggled with years in which I'm only interested in two series.
  19. Does anyone know why Lego destroys marbled bricks? They'd make nice giveaways for people at random events. Such a shame.
  20. Hey no problem! You're under no obligation to provide info and I appreciate that you do. My only problem will now be that I actually want two of the Bricktober packs, so I'll either have to place two orders or make a difficult choice! But yes, the minifigure collector community can now breathe a sigh of relief!
  21. Awesome. I wonder if it will be limited to Lego Marvel purchases. Regardless I think I'll start postponing my purchases till then...
  22. And really we're only missing a couple of iconic monsters that were not on S14: the bride of Frankenstein and the Invisible Man. Too bad we didn't get those in S14, because that was the best moment for them to make them. Sadly we haven't had any monster figure since then. But anyways, I do agree with you and would love to see another regular series. Although I wouldn't personally mind if we ever got a Space series...
  23. We've gotten some specific historical characters, and there are some that are still missing. Napoleon, Newton and Einstein come to mind.
  24. Same. These damn chase figures! Also apparently the missus now wants a full set too!
