  1. I believe that updated classic space, sort of like the neo-classic space designs that many talented people have done, could be a good theme. However, sadly, it would be a less safe investment than Star Wars or themes with more action... As a matter of a personal preference, I would like a few neo-classic sets, but I don't think that I'd go for a whole theme. I love classic space, but if I were to buy a set, I think that I would be much more attracted to the old ones, even if used. Overall, I'd say that it wouldn't be as profitable or as much of a safe investment as other fresh ideas Lego might have. Just my 50 cents.
  2. My only complain with this fig is that the hands won't get chromed. That's something I loved about the chrome 3PO and Vader. Hu hummm, still thinking about it. UCS R2 is VERY tempting, but I know I'll get ripped off in taxes and shipping costs. Crap.
  3. The other pic is hilarious!
  4. Would've been nice to see the ghost fig glowing in the dark there, but I wouldn't dare going in the night.
  5. S@H Says "coming soon on May 1".
  6. Yeah, however, Vader doesn't rise up to 3PO's price, and 3PO was managed very differently. I do know that this fig will be more popular than last year's ARF trooper, and that one sells for $20. On the other hand, I'm VERY VERY tempted to buy the UCS R2, but shipping and taxes might make me broke. But thanks for your advice. In fact I've been looking at the sets, and considering the offer and the fact that I'd at least save $30 on a fig, I might just make a few purchases on May the Fourth.
  7. And I just completed my series 6 collection! Ohhhh here's hopefully thinking that I'll still be able to afford these guys. I truly love CMFs.
  8. Does anyone think that resellers will as more than $75 for it? I'm in need of advice... I really want this fig but I don't like any SW sets enough to pay their prices even with May the 4th discounts.
  9. I really really hope that resellers don't put too much of a high price on this. I can't spend $75 when I'm purchasing minifigs.
  10. During moments like this I hate to be a broke undergrad!
  11. Personally, this is the only promo for May the fourth that I have found appealing. On all previous years I had been disappointed. Kudos, Lego! It'll go next to my other three chromies. :) Only complain is, the hands aren't chrome. But well, it's still great! :)
  12. The hair is one of the best parts. I'm amazed that you got such a hard part so right. Thanks for sharing!
  13. The yellow guy is naked!! Sorry, had to say it. But seriously, it's a nice set of pictures. It's actually something that I wanted to do. Thanks for sharing. I'd very much like plain chrome gold, silver, and bronze figs, like those in the CMFs trophies. That would be sweet. Alas, why would Lego do that... Anyways, sorry for rambling. It's a very interesting set of pics.
  14. Completely agree. I prefer CMF to be about figs that we would probably not get outside the theme.
  15. I like them! I'm probably getting them all again. I love collecting all the series.
  16. I'd say that it is very well done! Thanks for sharing! One detail I loved is the small minifigs on the shovel. Hehehe, reminds of a Twilight Zone episode I just watched: "The Little People".
  17. I'm loving R2... Why did it have to be so expensive?
  18. Thanks for the pic! Hmmm, I'm not too sure what to think of this Iron Man. I am happy though that the hands' color does match the body, unlike some previous pics that were shown. I'd really hate it if the beard does indeed show behind the figure. That's something I don't like about double-sided heads. Overall I would say that I like the colors, but I would need to see better the fig to see if I like the proportions.
  19. Yepee, got mine now. I must say that it is totally worth it to complete this collection (although I've collected all CMFs so far ). I just hit 500 minifigs thanks to these guys.
  20. I had such a neat dream! A relative brought quite a bunch of minifigures for me, and they were all superheroes. I think that they were some CMF sort of thing. It was an awesome dream! One of those that you regret were not real the moment you wake up.
  21. I'd be so happy if the exclusive fig was the same as the Comic-Con Batman... Alas, I'm not letting my hopes up.
  22. I don't think that I would like to see a crusader, considering their bloody historical context. Still, we got a Roman legionnare, a Spartan, and a murmillo, but I somehow feel that this would be different. Although that could be just me. Seeing as we got pictures for series 5 on March last year, maybe we'll get pics for this series soon...
  23. Crap. Now I have three more reasons to feel angry about glued magnets.
  24. I find it intriguing that many of the designs he used in his application ended up being used. No wonder he was hired! What a talented guy. I would really like some of those designs to come to life.
