LEGO Cuusoo Modular Building Mall Idea
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to TomRoid's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks. I haven't seen those though. Have you got any links? Perhaps we should all make a Cuusoo idea. I'm not the building kind of Lego fan though (yeah, you can mock me if you want ). -
Hulk promo minifigure for May 16-31
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to ACPin's topic in LEGO Licensed
Looking at the pics again, the sides of the legs look terrible. I think that I'll pass on this guy. -
I'll take R2-KT, thanks. Hmmm, or should I ask for them to make a Chrome R2 just for me?

Pictorial Review: 10225 UCS R2-D2
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Solscud007's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the pics! I definitely wasn't expecting that rainbow on the inside... So the legs have no wheels right? -
Review: TC-14 May the 4th promo fig
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Solscud007's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This fig looks even better than I expected. Even though I bought a Chrome 3PO for $75, I would love to see a new one with the new design. Might get an extra one to keep sealed. Thanks for the review! Now I only have to decide if I'll buy that UCS R2... -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That's because of the taxation of trade routes... Sorry. -
Edit: Nevermind that. Box dimensions are 38 x 58 x 10 cm, in case anybody wants to know.

I wasn't prepared for this. Now I'm browsing the whole site to see if there are enough sets that interest me. Edit: Spending $150 doesn't get you two free figs, does it?

LEGO Cuusoo Modular Building Mall Idea
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to TomRoid's topic in LEGO Town
I don't think that I like the whole Mall idea, but a few modular licensed stores would be neat. Something like the stores you mentioned, besides M&M's World, a comic book store with Marvel and DC stuff (and maybe even SW), Borders... The possibilities are practically endless. Yep, it could be fun to see a few licensed stores. -
LEGO Team GB Minifigures Discussion

I'd think that if these were fake TLG would have already announced so... Or this could be a wicked publicity stunt... I don't know. I guess we'll just have to wait. -
Darn. That doctor fig would be perfect if the printings on the legs were strong enough.

Monochrome Collector box
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to steelwoolghandi's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I like this idea, and I find the "crayon" aspect of it quite fun. You've got my vote. I think that this could work greatly for minifig customizers. Perhaps Lego should even release sets of minifigure parts only for people to customize figs, like it was done with the Mr. Potato Head toys. -
 By the way, that other R2 model looks very good, although I'd say the proportions on the UCS R2 are more accurate. Not sure if I should buy this... The box looks HUGE, so shipping must be super expensive... And I'm just afraid I'll be crammed with taxes at customs. Might try to pick this up when I go to the States, but I can't imagine bringing that huge box home.

THANKS!!! Need, need, need... NEED. Trying to control myself not to order the UCS R2.

Problems with superheroes parts ?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Sam892's topic in LEGO Licensed
Let's hope this is temporary. I haven't bought any of the superheroes sets but did plan on getting some of the figs. As I buy loose figs, I guess I'll have to be extra careful. Thanks for the warnings from all you people though. -
Hanging Sets from the Ceiling?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to sealslip3's topic in LEGO Star Wars
What do you do about dust? -
I don't really think so. I think that the main reason why we are seeing a bunch of licensed stuff is that many Lego fans have a few licensed themes on their wish list, and they haven't had the opportunity to reach out to Lego in this way before. So, I expect that after a few of these projects get through, that should diminish. I don't mind licensed projects. Cuusoo reflects what the people want. Besides, I think that Lego knows very clearly that not everyone who supports a project would buy the product. I think that's why they review the project. I think that it's a matter of time before we get to see more non-licensed projects reach the amount of votes needed.

Comic-Con minifigures
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to SpiderSpaceman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm not a completitionist per se. I don't suffer if there is an impossible to get super expensive exclusive minifig that I'm not that interested in. However, I do have a few complaints. For one thing, the figs that have been released as exclusives appeal to many, many, many fans, far much more than the amount of figs produced. The case is worst with Green Lantern, which we haven't got in a set yet. I'm bothered that Lego is making too many interesting figs as exclusives, leaving many of us who love the company's products unable to enjoy them. In my opinion, they could make exclusives in a more limited way, but at this rate I feel they are abusing of fans. Just my thoughts. -

You needed to search completed listings. Not sure if seller is trustable though. -

MOC: Ball Maze (Labyrinth)
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to touthomme's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow, this is one of the best game MOCs I've ever seen. The design is top-notch, very professional. Congrats and thanks for sharing! Got my vote on Cuusoo. -
Although I'll admit that Insectoids had a very appealing design to me, I think that what I dislike about the theme is that it was mostly about small "vehicles". It would have been neat to have something like a base. Somehow, even if I like its style, I wasn't so attracted to the theme, and I think it's because of its emphasis. It just feels like there's nothing to hold everything together, in my opinion, but preferences are whimsical things.
