I actually muted the video and watched it while listening to The Battle of Yavin music. Love the trench... Being as iconic of Star Wars, and one of the most exciting (probably the most exciting for me) part of the films, it's great to see this done in Lego with such great skill. Thanks for sharing.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I actually like the darksaber. The Mandalorians look great, and so does the ship. -
You made an interesting blend of retro style with some new pieces. Great job. As the others, I love the fig and the little robot. Thanks for sharing!

Hulk promo minifigure for May 16-31
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to ACPin's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yes, but they still make an amount of figs that they think will satisfy demand, and they could still miss the number. I guess it all narrows down to how many figs they think are probably going to satisfy demand. If the number of Hulks was bigger, then I'd say that there's a bigger risk of missing the necessary number, because the variations could be more. I don't know, I'm just not that convinced that we are safer with Hulk. -
Tower-city (giant upgrade)

You're welcome. I watched the video. I wish I had that many Lego bricks, by the way. -
Lego or Legos?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Lordofdragonss's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I get annoyed whenever I hear "Legos". I just do... It's incorrect for me... But if other people want to use it... Well, what gives. -
Darn, I didn't know about the board game license... This sucks.

Thanks for the info. Great work.

Collectable Minfigures: Worth the Hype?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Derek's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Such a sweet pic. And I agree with your statements, WhiteFang. ACWWgal2011 I get the impression that you haven't made up your mind as for CMFs, since you keep buying them yet keep complaining constantly about them, wishing them to end. Yes, you are entitled to think in whichever way you want to, but I get the impression that your opinions are inconsistent. I'll just say that I love this theme because we have got figs that we would probably not have got otherwise. Personally, I like to collect them all, but even for those who just pick their favorite two of each series, I think that we have all benefitted greatly from this theme. Hope the series continue to infinity and beyond. -
LEGO Team GB Minifigures Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
No. This kind of artistic renderings have been around since CMFS1. There is no indication in the press release, but I think that we can all safely assume that they will be sold in blind packaging. -
REVIEW : 9498 Saesee Tiin's Starfighter
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to aayla-secura's topic in LEGO Star Wars
To me, the highlight of this set is the green astromech droid. However, it is well designed and the other two figs look great too. Thanks for the review! -
Pictorial Review of Summer 2012 Star Wars Sets:
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Sir von Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If SW sets were cheaper, I'd probably buy a few of them. The Desert Skiff is amazing, and this year's new figs exceed expectations. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to see these sets right now. I don't think I'll buy any of them, but I least I get to enjoy seeing them. -
Aquashark Snarler
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to J4ke's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Very neat! I actually didn't know that amazing cockpit piece existed. I wish I had bought more Aquazone sets... Anyways, thanks for sharing! -
I don't think that it is Hasbro's licensing issues, but rather that they haven't simply got to it. I wouldn't see that much a difference between a SW chess and the other SW games.

Collectable Minfigures: Worth the Hype?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Derek's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I find it odd that you like some figs and yet want the theme to end. I'd understand if you say that you'd like things to be managed in a different way. If not for this theme, you wouldn't have the figs that you have bought. -
These are great. However, I think that Flash would look better without the chin part of his helmet. Just out of curiosity, what do you use to render these? Thanks for sharing!

EB iPhone/IPad app
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to sologuy369's topic in Forum Information and Help
I'm sorry. I actually don't think of an app to do other things rather than browsing the site, so my bad for not specifying. I'm often on my ipod touch browsing the forum, and posting is a pain since the screen is way too big, and browsing the forum is harder for the same reasons. I'll admit, though, that I wouldn't use it more often than the PC site. -
Review: 9473 The Mines of Moria
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Lego Otaku's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I like it, although I get the feel that it is incomplete. However, the details on the parts that are here are great. Thanks for the review. This set is better than I expected. -
Review: 6868 Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I must admit that my expectations for the superhero sets haven't been met. In particular, I'm not too fond of sets like this, which feature just a part of a bigger structure. I'm very satisfied with the figs, however. I do see your points about Hulk, though. Thanks for the review. -
REVIEW: 6865 Captain America's Avenging Cycle
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nice little set... I'll admit that to me the figs are the highlight. I'll have to try to get Cap with his shield somewhere. Thanks for the review! -
Review: 6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to -JD-'s topic in LEGO Licensed
I think that I'm beginning to grow fond of the Iron Man fig. Not that I think this set is poor, but I just don't see myself buying it. Thanks for the review, though. -
I like the idea, but I don't think that price should be taken into account, and that what really makes a series stand out is design, so I wouldn't substract for the more expensive series.

LOL that made my day!!! I can only imagine his face...

Collectable Minfigures: Worth the Hype?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Derek's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Completely worth the hype. And, I'm sorry if you find so many aspects of it unplessant, but considering the amount of fans that this theme makes happy, it seems slightly selfish from you to wish for this theme to end completely just because of that. I don't mean to upset you, but that's really the feel I get from what you are saying. There are Lego products I don't buy, but not because of that I wish the theme ended, because I know other people can enjoy it.
