  1. You are correct that it suffered because of the one wave, it should have been added the next year maybe the sales weren't that good. I only bought the one set from that line, I though it was a bit over priced for what you got to be honest and I didnt like the ship at all though it to be quite weak. If they restarted it maybe they should start the first wave with 8 - 10 sets and have at least 2 ships in the line with one being a smaller ship like the Renegade Runner for smaller wallets and make the larger ship something a bit more impressive.
  2. I would be just grateful for the pirate theme to be back, like the castle theme it dominated the late 80s and early 90s and both themes would be very popular these days. I am surprised Lego haven't decided to release it again I know they did a very half thought pirate line a few years ago, but it needs a strong line to start with and it adding to over the years
  3. A medical subtheme would be quite topical at the moment with the current pandemic! Didn't someone do a spoof lego set regarding panic buy of toilet paper?
  4. could be right! Sometimes I just give them a little dust with a unused makeup brush, might try your method see how it goes
  5. nope not at all, just have them on display. The only other thing I can think of is the polish I use when I am dusting/cleaning them. How does everyone else keep their models clean and dust free?
  6. On brickset it seems to be some 'stunt' themed city sets Hoping for some cool vehicles in this subtheme
  7. seeing that we are all speed champions fans on here a question How do you help preserve the stickers on your models? some of mine from the first speed champions line are starting to degrade. I keep them out of direct sunlight and even in a north face room so it doesn't get to warm. Any tips or advice would be great
  8. As great as this set looks, sadly with the way of the world these days not many Lego fans can afford to pay £135 plus I'm sure prices will increase as well. As Lego sells out and people start selling it used or the second one they bought and prices will hit the £200 mark. All I hope that does happen is that Lego realise how popular the 'normal castle' theme is and launch it again. However they launch it properly not 6 sets for 1 year and that's all but a launch of say 8 sets that is added to over say 3 or 4 years. I am sure it will be very popular for them and it will make them some good profits, and it will give us fans on a budget a chance to get some castle sets, as even the old sets are going for a kings ransom now.
  9. Over a year ago I bought a Aliexpress 6 stud version of the Nismo GTR, as I always wanted a 6 stud version of it but wasn't creative enough to make a good model of my own. I was very surprised on 2 things, first was how quickly the set arrived think it was around 10 days (I've had slower Bricklink orders from the UK) and second on how good the quality of the pieces were. Ok they are not up to Lego standards however I would say they are 80% of the way there and at least on a par with MB if not better. However like other members have said it can be a bit hit and miss, one good thing is that once you have the instructions use them to build the vehicle out of genuine Lego pieces.
  10. If you visit your local Tesco whilst doing your essential weekly shop might be worth popping down the toy and Lego isle again. Many Tesco's are clearing out their 2020 stock main thing that caught my eye was the following 76899 - Lamborghini Urus ST-X & Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO is now at £36.50 31109 Creator Pirate Ship £60 42111 Dom's Dodge Charger £60 All polybags were £1 Harry Potter mini figure series £2 each Happy shopping!
  11. It's great news that the line is continuing and even better that it seems a decent lineup. Some speculation on what the dodge models could be seeing as it's got to appeal world wide I can only think of 4 models that are that well known and that's the Challenger, Charger, Ram, Viper and all their variations, years etc My stab in the dark regarding the set is a Dodge Ram towing a trailer with a 1970s Challenger or Viper. These models are amazing love the 240z do you have the instructions available at all?
  12. Don't think it will be cancelled however I don't think we will get anything new until the Summer or maybe even Autumn, plus I don't think we will get many new sets either I am thinking maybe 2 single car sets and 1 double set.
  13. This is a great car! love the way you can actually put minifigs inside as well, defiantly will be building this and adding it to the collection
  14. Good to hear!, I'm glad someone does makes it worth will. I will keep posting on this topic if only for your benefit
  15. I think I am the only one posting on here! Is anyone actually reading this?? Anyway more offers at Tesco! I popped in yesterday and ALL yes ALL lego sets were on offer up to 50% off! Most things were only around 25% or 30% off However if you love the Hidden Side theme all the sets are 50% off! I am pretty sure this is nation wide as well so might be worth popping down to your local store.
  16. I have had a go at making the new car from the 2021 city line up 60285 Sports Car Change in the colour's but not a bad little model really
  17. That's right in Europe we always got them in March, I remember getting the NISMO GTR as soon as I possibly could I will wait until Lego actually confirms something, I don't know how reliable StoneWars are, the speed champions set might just be one polybag set!
  18. Tesco Lego Deals!! These sets are on sale at 2 large Tesco stores where I live in Salford, Manchester they might be nation wide sales so might be worth checking out Following are on offer for 2 for £15 think you can mix and match 42101 Technic Buggy 71700 Jungle Raider 60241 Police Dog Unit 60247 Forest Fire 60249 Street Sweeper 60251 Monster Truck 60263 Ocean Mini-Sub The follow were at these reduced prices 76895 Ferrari F8 Tributo - £13 42111 Dom's Dodge Charger - £72 60252 Race Boat Transporter - £20 60264 Ocean Exploration Sub - £20 There was some Star Wars stuff reduced but it had all sold out, they put stickers over the prices so I couldn't see what was on sale and what the deal was sadly. If I find anymore offers will post them here
  19. Aldi Lego Sets! Every Christmas for the past few years Aldi sell a few Lego sets that can be found in the special buys isles, this year they have the following sets 42101 Technic Buggy 71700 Jungle Raider 60241 Police Dog Unit 60247 Forest Fire 60249 Street Sweeper All of these sets that are normally £9 are £6.99 each so not bad if you are looking for stocking fillers or as a secret Santa Gift
  20. Looks like it might be the end of the road then for Speed Champions, silly really as I thought it was a popular theme and sold well, maybe its something to do with the licences or maybe due to Covid they are very limited to the sets they have designed this year or that they can produce. Oh well it was good while it lasted
  21. Trouble is idea sets however great a very expensive to buy. Its a shame really I didn't mind the 2013 castle sets. I suppose we better but the castle line like castles themselves to history and forget about them.
  22. Well all I can say from a fan is thank you for taking the time and effort to build it and make the instructions etc When I get paid this month I will spare some money to buy the instructions! defiantly need this in my collection
  23. That's sad if they leave it another few years, you look on ebay and bricklink and any castle themed parts and minifigs are quite expensive now, which proves the demand is there. Hopefully Lego will do some market research and bring it back sooner rather than later
  24. That looks amazing! How long did it take to perfect it like that? I love the speed champions theme and have started to make a few MOCs myself however I am only on 6 stud wide at the moment no where near your level!
  25. Why hasn't there been a 'proper' castle theme since 2013? Lego must know it is a very popular theme and the sets will always sell worldwide. All I can think of is due to the licenced sets like LOTR and maybe even Harry Potter to an extent. It would be nice if over the next few years Lego went back to its older roots and gave us a good castle line.
