  1. I like the overall build, but the seats seem unrealistically shaped and almost too small.. good luck though!
  2. I disagree with the fact that beam stacking being a beginner technique, especially when it can be made to create masterpieces like this!
  3. Even though loads of good Technic sets will be gone, maybe that paves way for more new Technic sets? One other thing that I noticed was that no technic "18+" sets are reaching their end of shelf life...
  4. I agree with Maaboo that the set could be his favorite, or it could just be something random, as some publishers like to do that for no apparent reason... Maybe the blurred text will solve the puzzle! Another ironic thing is that they are interviewing designers for a Lego Technic mag and they list their jobs as Lego Technic designers. I mean, what else would they be? Mountain climbers?
  5. I was referring to the grey gear on the left of the tipper. I feel that a true studless recreation would include colors used by TLG nowadays, and that grey gear would be in black. But here it's a case of sticking true to the original, or going totally studless. I understand why you would put it in grey, and it's also hard to see which color the judges would like better!
  6. I really like this Entry to the Topic. My inly gripe would be to change the gray gears to either black or tan, but that's just nitpicking. Great use of panels, and I could see this on a Shelf at the Lego Store!
  7. Now this is weird: When I search for "Lego 42128" it comes up with a link to the official Lego site for the Tow Truck. But when I go to the Lego site and click on Technic, nothing in the range of the Tow Truck or the Zetros appears...
  8. This video also strengthens my urge to cover the undersides of all my Vehicle-Mocs in Panels so that stupid sand and dirt don't get to my shiny gears...
  9. Even then it would be hard, since the We-do m Motor is smaller than a PU L Motor. I guess you would haver to remove the gearbox and simplify it. If you removed the difflocks and added 4WS, presumably you would want a proper crawler, so then it would be best to remove the diffs at all, so the car could climb properly.
  10. This is almost as good as the Arocs set, apart from having no power functions or Control+ elements. This leads to another gripe. The only way of using the Control+ elements is making the set remote controlled, which isn't always wanted. Otherwise this is a great set with lots of functions for a reasonable price tag.
  11. Don't you mean the shoulder connector, if the elbow connectors are black?
  12. I would personally replace those old tires with some new ones, if it is to look like new. Otherwise everything looks great! Lovely work!
  13. I really like he overall rustic design of the barn, and also the way that you created the layering in the ground and the roof. The handmade scarecrow is really realistic and very creative. The different plants on a small scale must have been hard, but I see they are worth it, as their flawless design matches that of the barn. Could we get some interior photos though?
  14. A better idea than spring would be to use those rubber 2L beams, I'm currently using this in a modded version of the Mack Anthem set, and it proves to be very effective. Personally steering the fourth axle wouldn't provide extra playability.
  15. Since there is an apparent central diff lock, this must mean it is 4-wheel-drive. (Just stating the obvious) Doesn't this mean that there should be 2 axles running on the front axle? One for steering and one for driving? Or are they using a complex linkage setup? Is there any information about this on the box, or any pictures of such?
  16. I can't see the pictures, just, as @Kio Liex pointed out, the URLs.
  17. (sadly) I have loads of experience with these steppers not fitting due to rubber bands and all that. The easiest way to do it is with knob wheels, or so I think. I am looking forward to seeing the final product!
  18. I know I'm late to the party, but somehow Lego managed to slip past a 7-stud wide center column on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, so in yours I would say an either 3 or 5 stud wide column would be the best. Maybe because of space reasons this wouldn't be the easiest change, but ill see how it goes! Good luck!
  19. Hi! I really love the detailing of your ford pickup, and it demonstrates great use of limited pieces. I was wondering if the same chassis could be used, with a different bodywork and interior, to make a ford mustang? The suspension setup and gearbox are the same...
