Funny that the same person who made also made this topic. Anyway, sometimes you have no choice since certain parts existed in the past, but not anymore. I have heard that flexcable* was really brittle and broke if they had been in the sun for to long, and people had to resort to other material, like guitar snares, to get their build working again. Cutting tubes is legal as it had to be done in 8272. But I really do not like builds that make tubes really short to make all kinds of weird connections. So I do not mind certain "illegal" builds, and I dislike certain "legal" builds. I see the same discussion in pixelart fora, where everyone has different rules for what exactly is "real" pixelart. *: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=bb0008c05L&idColor=9#T=C&C=9- 179 replies

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
Lira_Bricks replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Those pieces already exist. I have one, so decided to make a quick picture: The height of the baseplate is slightly smaller. Edit: I assume the height of a baseplate is the same as that of a roadplate. I cannot verify that since I do not have any roadplates. -

That is one nice helicopter! I wish lego would make one like it instead of what we normally get as helicopters :P I agree with Peppermint_M, I like the studs too. In my own MOC's I sometimes even change tiles to plates just to add studs. I do not think this build has any "ugly" studs, I like it :)

[MOC] Tracked Loader
Lira_Bricks replied to JLiu15's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks really nice :) Contrary to others here, I actually like the pins having other colours. Gives it that "Lego Technics" feel Is that bucket on the front an official lego piece? -
LEGO Ideas Discussion
Lira_Bricks replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Sorry if this is not the correct place to ask, but where can I find the ideas that reached 10k supporters? Last time I saw the ideas.lego (cuusso or something like that?) it had a different design and they were listed together with the sets without 10k supporters, but now when I go to https://ideas.lego.com/search/global_search/ideas?idea_phase=idea_gathering_support&query=&sort=most_supported the highest amount of supporters is around 9400... I tried all the links in the menu :P Edit: For others who cannot find it: you have to select the correct boxes in the filter of "project phase" -
False Memories and the Mandela Effect - Lego Edition
Lira_Bricks replied to TheAbsoluteSt81's topic in Community
If it was this one, it did exist. It was used for those old wheelbricks: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=7049a&name=Brick, Modified 2 x 4 with Wheels Holder, Opaque Bottom&category=[Brick, Modified]#T=C They are from the 1960's- 14 replies

Wedge, Plate 2 x 2 Cut Corner comes in medium azure and I do not know what the other white parts are, but they seem simple plates to me. Which pars are not released in a blue or blueish color yet?
-
Haha, it is almost like you inverted the colors! Blue car with transwhite glass to a white car with transblue glass :P Do you have the lego to make the white parts of the original blue in your version? x)

They look really nice! :) I think the Silver ingots one is the best. The first flag is Germany btw, Belgium has yellow in the center.

Hello, I wanted to make a lego car with the following requirements: 6 studs wide Working doors Steering A working small steering wheel A size that allows a minifig sitting in the car to look through the window and to look a minifig standing outside in the eye at the same height Have the required lights for European roads Still look realistic (ignore the horn and wings ^^) Sadly I was not able to make it 6 studs wide. Below are a few assumptions I made. In case any are wrong please let me know. Minifig needs a seat of 2 by 2 There must be a steering axle with width 1 There must be an axle for the doors, which need a space of 1 1 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 is 7, so if any of the above can be made smaller, a width of 6 might be possible. I also want to make the car a bit shorter, but I don't see any place where that can easily be done Anyway, here is the car as it is now! And below is a size comparison. Both cars are equal in length, but the sportscar is higher. Small note: the two back doors should be white instead of grey and the reverse light should be transparent white instead of transparent blue
