    As an enticement I’d say it worked pretty well though if they’ve run out in the US already. All those people who spent $150 on something they might not have bought otherwise. slightlu odd they bother advertising a 2 week window though.

    I’m sure if Jeff or Elon get into army building it might be possible. For the rest of us, £10+ for a peasant puts it slight out of reach! Having said all of that, the biggest unit in my Lion Knights is made of minifigs with very faded torsos, normal hair or broken helmets and armed solely with sticks or pikes.

    Yep, they do look cool. Saw the gold visor on a black helmet the other day that looked really good. Wondering whether the new pearl gold will look quite as good.

    Great topic. I think it depends now though. My all time favourite is the knights form Black Monarchs Ghost https://brickset.com/sets/6034-1/Black-Monarch-s-Ghost but with the classic round shield instead. However some of the new torsos are amazing. The Fright Knight torso is just epic (and covered with armour breastplate!). The pauldrons I’m not a great fan of but that’s mainly because of the silver metallic colour. Archers - always the bullet, though Kettle Helm if need be (Crownies for example).

    You’re not wrong. Properly got back into Lego a couple of years ago and the cost increase in the second hand market since then is insane!

    Yeah, found the wizard torso in Brighton. Bristol a bit far for the skirt, had to make do with a blue, brown dual mold. No head or hat :( And no falcon knights though there was green knights torso.

    I wouldn't be too disappointed if TLG started doing 4+ style bulbs for a Classic castle style. Not only are there no stickers on 4+ builds but (just using Marvel and Ninjago as examples), it's unlikely to be limited to just 4+ builds. Ninjago had things like Ninjago City Gardens and Marvel has sets like the Daily Bugle and the new Dr Strange set.

    Is it me or does the new knight in the cmf 23 series have a new armour type? Shoulder pauldrons look different. (Having trouble uploading a photo on the phone).

    I know lots of the old sets have the discolouring but I like that once they been broken up and mixed. Gives great texture. really like how you’ve used the old castle pieces, Wolfpack’s cool as hell too.

    It’s popular I’m sure but I doubt it had the pull of Harry Potter as a volume brand. Plus, as Black Feather pointed out, it forced people to buy stuff they’d not buy otherwise. I probably would have just gazed as Optimus Prime from afar if there was no GWP. I doubt the new castle will sell out straight away either.

    Looking at MVR at the moment. Found one without goats which makes it actually affordable. Yes I’d like a goat but not that much.

    Particularly relevant this considering the conversation in other threads about scale. Because if you want something to scale with eg Medieval Blacksmith, you have to have something like this beauty. Which leads me to ask? Where do you store this?!

    Cool info, thanks I have my own internal head-canon where certain factions wear certain things. My main concern is if I get hit by a bus and my wife sells everything not realising she’d get more if all the minifigs are correct! If course, if she knew that, she’d realise how much I’ve spent! And if she realised how much I’ve spent on vintage castle, she’d probably push me in front of a bus….
