    I imagine one reason people are annoyed is because the reality of the set didn’t meet their anticipation. Especially considering the lack of castle sets over the last few years. As to your example, I’m not sure I agree. I too would like the Eldorado set. But the threshold is £30 above that cost and there’s nothing else I want to spend. And £220 is a lot of money to spend on toys. So I’ll pass on this unless it’s released with the medieval market square next year and falls within that price threshold. Ive also realised why I’m cold on the new Dragon knight figure: blue arms. I’ve just had a look at my old ones and noticed I’ve replaced all the arms with black arms…

    It’s also a great set. Picked it up this year (I think) and really enjoyed it. Did read this post at the time but didn’t think my purchase worthy of a necrothread

    Am I the only one who went and ordered an original Basil the Bat? Would never have done it without CMF25 coming out.

    Hmm. Pretty disappointed. Dragon print is meh but really don’t understand the logic of giving the character who’s set it’s named after a non-printed torso! Will be interested to see what the threshold is in GBP. Still want the Eldorado fortress but might put the money towards Rivendell and CMF 25.

    I’m now of two minds whether I want the goat to be included in this set. Just managed to get the Mill Village Raid for only a vaguely unreasonable amount off eBay. Though more civis wound be good. I like civilian army building. More like building a mob.

    Nice. Like the way you’ve used the thestral. I’ve not been able to think of a way to get it to work with figs mounted on it.

    I do love the look of it and especially the idea of a wintery castle. But I’ve a limited budget and also want Rivendell and need to keep my powder dry for potential new medieval village set and DnD set…

    Very nice. I always had fun creating my evil army. Trying to get my head round why army building is so popular. I do it myself and I don’t know why. Recently got a few extra Lion Knights torsos but can’t think of anything new to do with them so they’ve just gone into the spares box…

    My stuff stays in boxes for me to play with. The kids have their own Lego that they can do with as they wish. my youngest did see some of my Lion Knights on a base plate awaiting the arrival of some shields and asked to play with them. But I’ve seen how he plays; none of them would have any heads or hands within 10 minutes…

    Been waiting for those axe shields. Essential purchase of 15 of those made, the rest of the torsos can wait, I don’t actually need anymore Lion Knights…

    That’s exactly the reason my son is buying his mum Lego tulips for Mother’s Day instead of Lego roses. The tulip box is on black and has 18+ plastered across it.

    That's what I was thinking. I love the way it looks like it's pelting along the road. Also, great use of leg pieces for the bridge!

    Interesting. I had trouble with a cash back site when I used PayPal pay in 3 for the Lion Knights Castle. I wonder if it's a similar thing. Will bear that in mind for the next big purchase.

    😁 I don’t dislike non-yellow, I just don’t have many and they’ll look weird with the rest now. and I’d be loath to pull off the hands on figs that are most likely to be worth a fortune at some point!

    Love it. Everyone bring a fleshy puts a bit of a downer on this for me. Mayhaps they’ll have a sale/double vip points over the next year or so.
