Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Brickity replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I was thinking of buying this year’s castle sets and changing the roofs to grey, but upon watching a youtube video I realized how dull and ugly they look given their exterior doesn’t help in the first place (the green makes them stand out more) so then I thought about doing the opposite with the 2018-2020 sets and change them to green. I’ll be checking which parts are available in green, but so far one of those textured cone pieces (which I love and it’s a bummer) does not exist in green yet. I could easily skip these new sets but I really feel the 2018-2020 ones are missing many of these new rooms, except for the Great Hall which could be turned into a classroom or something (using pieces from the moments sets, or AC’s, or even the upcoming trunk) -

Who has decided to skip the 2021 Hogwarts sets? -
They really took that squeeze-the-maximum route These are all very very well made, but the novelty in new characters/variants/buildings is so subtle it feels like getting more & more of the same. Who would have thought that 3 years later we would be getting the trio from Hagrid’s hut with slight updates At this point it is very tiresome to read “Where’s deathly hallows and the missing gaps”, but I think they could’ve made these sets a bit more interesting somehow. Gotta say I’m not a fan of the book layouts or the new trunk. Oh well, there is still hope for summer and winter *cries in an effort to enjoy the now

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 22. Rumors and discussion
Brickity replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Not feeling these, very bland overall and the polybag picture doesn’t help. This one next to series 19 looks very “toddler-like” and minimalistic. -
Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Oh my. Depending on who the remaining characters are and the interior of the building, I will probably buy it. Honestly not a huge fan of Spider-man outside the raimi trilogy or comic versions (am I even a spider-fan? ) for that matter, but this is looking too good. -
Thanks for the replies, I might get the stickers and some minifigures only. Given that LEGO is apparently extending the theme’s life by throwing in a lot of “fillers”with minimum novelty (remakes, reused figure pieces, few new characters) being a completionist won’t be an option anymore. Kinda sucks to think that we’ll have to wait some more years to get all the characters we want, along with some more boring Mantises and Helgas in disguise. Granted I felt somewhat excited when the book sets leaked, but it’s usually this honeymoon high and then I lose interest in some sets. Hopefully that won’t happen with these new ones.

Passed the toy section today at a local store and saw the moments sets which I don’t have yet, but I felt no interest whatsoever. Perhaps it’s the book design that doesn’t blend in with the castle sections. Has anyone skipped these? If I saw these anniversary sets however, I’d pick them up in a heartbeat. After winning the lottery, of course.

Agreed 1000% I love those designs!

I really like this. The bathroom has no remedy other than to modify it or cover it up with some greenery or rocks.
-
The prices of these are absolutely disgusting. I’ll get these in the US because not buying lego in my country anymore. 😤
-
The renders uploaded by lego are amaazing 😩 I specially love the chamber of secrets and Hogsmeade ones.
-
Wow! I wonder if they’ll actually use that character selection from what I remember is the bonus level in chamber of secrets, where you access a hall of fame with all those wizard cards.
-
Kind of obvious but the flying lesson interior could be a small office for Hooch and a storage room with the chest.
-
Ugh I just really love the chamber of secrets set, there’s something about the interior that I adore and I can’t really tell what it is. Can’t honestly wait to put all the castle pieces together.
-
1. Chamber of secrets 2. Hogsmeade 3. Flying lesson 4. Fluffy 5. Girl’s bathroom 6. Chess 7. Fawkes 8. Buildable figures PD. excuse the spacing.
-
I thought it was Penelope as well but wouldn’t make sense for her to have short legs? Also stonewars said it is Luna.
-
The castle set does feel like a throwback and that’s nice. I’m a huge fan of the interior aesthetic and the colors. Also, love that hiding place for the sorting hat! Sinistra, Dumbledore and Lockhart are amazing.
-
Oh my god oh my god okay I need time to see everything, I’m so pumped!
-
Yes, they do. I’m just saying it’s nice to have another recognizable interior background as opposed to generic windows, or skylines which do not apply here.
-
The chess room, nothing too special as the room of requirements had an interior background as well. But for some reason this feels nicer.
-
The box art looks great and it actually feels compelling. BUT, I wouldn’t buy it... unless the chess pieces look really good. What I like the most about this is the philosopher’s stone design on it. The 2018 ones had a generic exterior background on them, but this is the exception due to it being an interior and not a Hogwarts display. I just really love the box art

:O I need that.

Yes, the last week of this month :p

I could care less about these TBH, but as extras they’re not too bad.
