  1. Thanks and noted. Petaldan has yet to kill a person, I believe (excluding the scum in his first quest. So that's why he had a hard time. Mainly though, he realized that by letting the Ziegfrieds go, everyone would benefit: the machine would be fixed and the Ziegfrieds would leave, and we would have gotten our reputation with the Guild. I believe Petaldan would find if he had to, to complete the job, unless the person was super friendly or something, but he saw no reason to fight in that instance since completely the quest and letting the Ziegfrieds go worked hand-in-hand.
  2. Disappointed to see Cree go.
  3. "I suppose, from your tone, that heroes did it, and you no less. That should be a tale worth recounting."
  4. Oh, now I remember. Drake was Pretzel's ancestor. Gives me the shudders now.
  5. Which leaves us wondering if Sorrow is an Endgame boss as well...the biggest baddest yet. Clearly he's mind-controlled Karie into believing she's his relative. What will he do next? It's okay with me. Not sure if Sandy will be too accommodating of our failure though.
  6. I look forward to it. Let's see if Petaldan can get on it.
  7. Missed this somehow. "Hee, hee! Put me down!"
  8. Pretzel has only committed manslaughter which sounds like a terrible thing, but really isn't that bad...for whatever reason. I'm pretty sure we had this lecture before and Sorrow is like over 1000, or may be I'm confusing Sorrow with the Regret who may also be the ancestor of all life as we know it. In any case, I don't blame Sorrow for not remembering Pretzel or his age. He probably has Alzheimer's...or maybe Pretzel does.
  9. Also it raises the question of what is classified as a person. Is it only a person if it has minifigure legs? Is any enemy a person? What about the floor that was destroyed. See? It's hard like that.
  10. I raise my glass, but then remember. "Oh, I seem to have forgotten to return these to you." I return Ezeran's Shackles of War.
  11. "Unfortunately, I have no Decamon cards with me, Captain. I would like to know more about this ship though. How old is it?
  12. "Oh, dear, Ezeran, I so much wanted to impress the Guild, but I couldn't kill those men. The Ziegfrieds were so gracious to us on our first quest that it seemed wrong to treat them poorly. I thought if we had just let them go everyone would be happy. Don't you agree?"
  13. I trudge into the hall with my shield slung over my shoulder and scramble onto a seat. I look over at Ezeran and Torald's table and half wish I were there, but then give a little frown and dust my shield off instead.
  14. Just wanted to say that this quest was absolutely fabulous. I really don't know how you can take such a simple concept of us working our way through a machine like that and turn it into such a great quest, but I really did have a ton of fun on this one. A lot of it was also due to such a fabulous party, who were all very active and that way nice. I thought the ending was excellent. Sometimes I had difficulty separating character knowledge from player knowledge as obviously I immediately thought the Ziegfrieds were behind the problem, but Petaldan is far too unsuspecting for that, but the argument with everyone at the end was very good. At first, I wanted Petaldan to just throw a Smoke Bomb and let the guys escape, so I wrote to a few of the party about that, but then decided against the idea later. I couldn't really see Petaldan just walking away from a situation like that, but sometimes it's obviously better to let the quest be more enjoyable for all the other players than to stick to what is the most in-character thing for your player. Even it would have been allowed, there was no way that Petaldan would have fought against Ezeran and Torald though. Interacting with the whole party throughout was a lot of fun. I'm really happy with Petaldan's relationship with Ezeran and Torald and hope it won't be too ruined after the events at the end of this quest. We shall see, I suppose. He also has a new friend in Timothy. All-in-all, I'm really had to have been chosen for this quest, and I'm really happy for all of the time that you and all of my fellow questees invested in it. It made for a really swell quest. I enjoy playing Petaldan as well. I feel Pretzel has gone a bit to cynical recently, which is understandable considering his recent experiences, so playing Petaldan has been quite a breath of fresh air. As far as him having future plans, he's still just a little kid trying to be a hero for now.
  15. Well if you mention you're planning any sort of "activities" to Pretzel, he will more likely than not bop you on the bean whether you have the other person's consent or not.
  16. Pretzel sees Sorrow as family who needs to die. (I seem to recall something about Sorrow being Pretzel's great-great,add-a-great, great, great grandfather (twice removed) ). So there's something for everyone I guess. Just when I forgot. Thanks, Rick!
  17. I hand everyone his 50 gold. Though I feel my smiling face clouds a little bit when I hear that my reputation with the Guild was not being boosted.
  18. Hey, I thought we agreed that Jinnipher's downing was Lind's fault! It would be somewhat nice for Boomingham to know he's being ranked alongside such powerhouses. I guess he's becoming king of Eubric for a reason.
  19. "I believe I have become stronger since that experience," I reply to the Sand Queen. "I have to say that I believe I underestimated her powers last time. It shan't be happening again. I thank you for the trust you're putting in me for selecting me for this mission. I too am ready to leave.
  20. "Dr. Cula, I have to wonder if you knew or not, but there seemed to be an awful lot of life in your machine. There was even a salamander polluting the air. I can't help but worry that whatever tonics the machine is processing will be horribly corrupted..."
  21. I get the same error message. Do you have any Anti-Virus Rider Raider?
  22. I hand my gold to Althior. "I'm ready to go."
  23. Unsure, of what to do, I continue towards the furnace.
  24. I turn to Althior. "Good day to you, party leader. Althior, was it? I heard those things you're carrying can do amazing things to gold given a period of time. Could you hold onto my gold for the duration of the quest. I'll pay you back a share of the proceeds."
  25. I hand the Magma Maul to Timothy and take the Brine Blade. I remember why I didn't recall Kalalalali's name immediately. "Thank you so much, Kalalalali! You and Sudz are both so generous. I'm sure that if you ever meet, you'll have so much fun together. Please do have a lovely day! "Where do we go from here?" I ask, turning to Timothy.
