Heroica RPG - Quest #36: The Voracious Vault
Palathadric replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Unfortunately, both my keys shattered in the two doors." "What is that contraption on the left?" I look at it closely. "Can you rogues actually pick locks or is that just a tale of fantasies?" -

Sorry, to bug again, but Daxus should still have 4 potions, and Mizuki 2. "Well, that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Let's look around if there's anything else to see in this chamber." Seeing, nothing: "I suggest we move on." -
Well, Sandy just made that rule not too long ago.

"Ms Mizuki, you already have a grand potion, so I would give it to one of the lads, actually give it to Erik, and let him hand you one of his potions. I'll take the grand tonic, as I already said. You may keep the Holy Bomb as Daxus already has one." "To put it simply: Holy Bomb to Mizuki, Grand Tonic to myself, and Grand Potion to Erik. We will give each give one of our potions to Mizuki. Sorry, Daxus, you will be the first up for more loot when we run into it. I'm sure you understand." "...Hmmm, that did not seem like much of a summary." -

"Not so hasty, Ms. Mizuki. Everyone can have a chance, but since you already did so, I'll give you a potion for the Grand Tonic. You may want to exchange at least one of those items with one of the other lads, so that at least three of us can get one each. It just sounds fair." -

"Does anyone have a magnifying glass? If not stay a safe distance away. I have a bad feeling about this...for some reason." -
Don't flatter yourself. Well, it was fantastic how on Saturday we were all online at, more or less, the same time. That helped tremendously. Also we were so lucky that, if Endgame wanted to, he could probably have auto-played the entire battle. It's not luck. It's because Monk Pretzel is such a good man and has a God that can do multiple miracles in rapid succession. Any cleric would be wise to get converted. Agreed. Both those quests were very entertaining. I had to say that I think I preferred "The Dark Secret," but the other one was awesome as well. I guess I was just disappointed that they failed. I don't understand. What is so awesome about the Cat o' Nine Tails?

"Good thinking, Erik, although I'm not too sure abouut it myself. How is the dragon our guide? The paths almost make more sense, but what is that about clouds, and how exactly are we supposed to draw the path?" -
The 'Golden Age' of Lego, is it now?
Palathadric replied to Hey Joe's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would say the early 90s was Lego's "Golden Age." Pirates and Castle were strong then. Western was also started. -

"Yes, let's go. Can any of you make sense now of the writing on the trunk outside? I still can't figure it out. If you are not able to find out the clue than let's go through the other door to the left. We can use my key. It should work. Endgame, you forgot to take my Phoenix Essence out of my stats. -

"Well, I guess I lose something and I gain something, eh?" My eyes can't read the writing in the dim light, so I put the scroll in my rolling chest for later. I climb up the stairs and see if there is anything else of note in the room. -

Cautiously, I try my Phoenix Essence. I cross myself as I do so. "I had the same thought as you, Daxus, but let us see." -

I try with a potion first. "I'm not sure if I'm ready to sacrifice the Phoenix Essence just yet," I reply. "It is of extreme worth. If this potion doesn't work, perhaps we can go fight the other battles and come back if we still have it." -

"Erik, keep ahold of that Fire Bomb, will you?" "'The brew that restores me?' Do you think it's refering to a Phoenix Essence...or a potion? You guys have plenty of potions, so one of you could try offering one up." I shrug. -

Mizuki and Erik are both supposed to have a green essence and Mizuki supposed to have a blue one as well and not a yellow one. "I will check out that apparatus on the left. What do you think it could be? I will then take a look at that rack, or whatever it is, behind the barrel." -
Heroica RPG - Quest #36: The Voracious Vault
Palathadric replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I put you first so that you would do damage to both enemies should you go into a frenzy and not that one of them would already be dead. "Congratulations all. This fight was easier than I thought it would be. God truly is on our side and I've seen it in this fight more than any as of yet. When I first joined Heroica Hall and went on my first quest I was very rusty as I hadn't wielded a weapon against someone in years, it had never been necessary, but now, with every new fight I feel life and vigour anew within me. Perhaps, I shall go back into the service of the paladins like I had in years past, who knows but God? He will continue to guide me I am sure. Surely, we are in His Will as we fight for Him. When I originally started fighting for Heroica I thought that perhaps I had strayed somewhere, but now I know that it was just a momentary testing. I have passed and together we will move on to greater heights than ever before." "Mizuki take 10 gold, Daxus 10 as well, Erik 12, and I will take 10 too. You rogues get more than enough money with all that theiving you do!" -
Maybe I remember wrong, but I don't think so. It was only after he turned scum that he started really pushing it. I can't recall the town being led to victory either of those times. I would rather have them be uncoordinated than coordinated under a scum. Simple as that. I suppose they could get in contact with you via someone else, but that often doesn't work so well as it seems people have the tendancy to "slip up". Anyway, you're among the top half of my trusted list...but that doesn't say much.

"You and Erik are the heaviest hitters. Let's go with my plan. We also can't wait for the poison to kill it as we will incur free hits. They proggs are not Counts you know." -
Excuses, excuses. Scummy!

"They cannot harm us. We are in God's Hands. Strike them dead, men!" Battle Order: 1. Erik Attacks Larva from Front Row 1. Daxus Attacks Pupa from Front Row 2. Mizuki Attaks Larva from Front Row 3. Pretzel Attacks Pupa from Back Row Again, go ahead and play out this battle. -
His style when he is scum. I don't necessarily find you suspicious, but your desire to have all the power roles contact you is suspicious indeed. You have done nothing to gain any of our trust as of yet, so why should power roles contact you any more than anyone else? Who should the power roles contact? Me, of course. Wrong! They should contact a person they trust or not contact anyone at all as no one can be 100% or even 75% trusted as of now.

"Ha! You can't convert me. I bear the mind of God and God does not change His mind. It is about time that you got converted Daxus. When we leave this filthy hole in the ground we can complete the process. You can already begin the process now though. You know the first step to take." Feel free to run the battle as there is no danger. -

"You should go top so that if you mug him you will get all this creatures gold, and I won't rob you of your opportunity to do so. Now, I'm now one for stealing in general, but stealing from demons and their pests is right up my alley! May God favour this!" -
