  1. "Seeing its effects, I suppose I have to, reluctantly, agree with you this once." "If you had your way? Do you understand what you have done even? "How can these shades die when they aren't even alive. They died hundreds or thousands of years ago. They are dead already. We are just removing their presence on this earth so they need not be a threat? Is that wrong? If their sole purpose for being here is vengeance, then why should their presence remain. They are dead! How many times do I need to repeat it? Why do you protect the things you create? You appear to not have control over them, but how can we know that for certain. If indeed you do not, that may be even more worrisome because we are at the point where such beings can take orders directly from a machine, a non-living entity whose creator can no longer control it. I don't want to kill you, whatever you are, for Wally's sake, but if you stand in the way of us protecting him and his people, then there's nothing we can do. Wally may desire the learning he gets from you over the safety of his people, but he cannot speak for all the gnomes. We have to do what's best for them all. Perhaps it's all for the best if you go too though. It seems that you haven't been much of a positive influence on your understudy." I look at the demon approvingly. "I very much agree with you," I mutter to Hybros. "Perhaps we should partner more often." I'm not sure if its the Chain talking, but I shut up real quick. However I start up again almost as soon: "You fools understand nothing of which you are speaking. It's like you are hitting on all the right results for all the wrong reasons. I cannot bear to look at you. You seem to indicate that anything that is not in alignment with your beliefs are illogical and unreasonable. God has every right to be involved in human-life to any degree he chooses. Do you even understand what ether is? Ether is a gift from God, but too many people use it for evil and for their own agendas. Divine and conventional magic are different. Very different! I will not even begin to go there to discuss them, but I will say that you are clearly out of your depth. I suggest you close your mouth and get fighting before you really make us feel like lobbing it off permanently. I know a few persons who wouldn't be disappointed to do just that." Stopping from my oration for a brief moment, I size up my opponents, looking for the weak spot. I make my decision. Surging forward, I strike first Shade A, then Shade B from the Back Row with the Heavy Flail. "Die you abominations!" Soryx swings into action as well, attacking Selenrae with Dastan Dual Axe (Double) from the Back Row.
  2. Thanks, legolijntje. Downloaded successfully. Looking good so far!
  3. I turn to the Crimson Crown member. "Why did you attempt to take the machine? What is your business with it?" I then turn and look beyond the moon elf at the shadows. "Do you not understand? You have no business roaming the earth in this torment. Do you think vengeance will satisfy you? Then what? You will wander the earth randomly with nowhere to go and nothing to do. Oh, no. Your destroys are long gone. You will never find them. The one to blame is he that awakened you from your sleep and brought you into this anguish of mind. Like I said, you have no business in this world. You are nothing but a phantom, a spirit. If you were indeed destroyed by whom I have a feeling you were, then it was for the good of all the world. Perhaps not all of you were wicked, but likely the wickedness was so great that there was no chance to save the few righteous. From your actions, though, I doubt you were righteous in any way. You are probably one of those who was indoctrinated by demons and sold your soul to their cause. "Now as far as the gnomes are concerned, it may be true that you did not kill any of them, but is possessing their minds any less horrific. No. I say, it is moreso. You tampered with their very ability to make choices. You put your mind in theirs and ruined their lives. "'Doctor,' if you even are a doctor, I do not see how you can work so closely with these gnomes and care so little for them. It is despicable. If I am not mistaken, these creatures shackled up your apprentice and stole the will of his people and yet you support them and their cause. Pray tell, what if they were to take over your mind and roam the streets kidnapping people? Would you be as friendly to them? I should think not, unless you are so infatuated that you have no mind of your own anymore either." I turn mutter discreetly under my breath to Soryx and Em. "I half think that we should get rid of this shadowed menace and then rid ourselves of this gang after that. Clearly, they are not too be trusted and from my dealings with them and what I've heard from them, I wouldn't be surprised if they turn around and try to slay us all once we are done. I have no love for their organization, even if they claim that their goals are noble enough. Frankly, every time they speak I would wish to bash their brains in so the world can be rid of their filth. What do you say?"
  4. Thanks, legolijntje! I'm downloading it now, so let's see if it finishes properly through dropbox.
  5. No. I tried again this morning, but it again failed at 46.1 MB. Strange, indeed.
  6. "You know, many of my enemies have said similar things before I killed them. 'Oh, if I wanted my cronies to kill you, they would have done so. I wanted them to leave you for me. Bwahaha!' But, nope, I'm still alive today having slain every last one of them. I know when someone wants my life and then realizes that trying to take it is not worth it because I kick harder than one would think and my bite is worse even, if you catch my meaning. Soryx, do you think the Crimson Crown members we fought in the tavern were just there to pleasure us? Seemed sincerely eager to kill, no?" I chuckle. "Anyway, my quarrel is not with you for now, so let's get this task over with and be on our way. The less we have to deal with each other, the better."
  7. Let's see how Hybros takes to Pretzel's latest actions.
  8. I stand prepared to engage in combat, but then a thought comes to mind, a temptation more like. "Gah, won't want to soil this garment for a fight like this," I mutter, removing my Ethereal Cloak, I then look at the Soul Link Chain in my cart. There was something about being bonded to the demon that felt strangely...nice? A sense of power perhaps? Furthermore, I muse, the way he threw off the chain at the end of the last fight makes me wonder whether my power was too much for him and drawing me out. Surely it cannot hurt to experiment. I am sure my soul and connection to the divine is stronger than his connection to the darkness seeing how he seems to have suffered more from wearing the chain than I did. I cast a glance at Hybros, then, when he doesn't suspect. I tear off his Baron's Pauldrons and force the Soul Link Chain on him, before equipping it myself. "Let's see how you carry through another fight, imp," I snicker.
  9. Sergio, I encountered a problem when downloading the file. I already tried three times today at different times on different computers and every time it reach 46.1 MB and then gave me a message that the download failed. Any idea what the problem is? My connection is slow (see my tag ), but I've never had a problem with downloading your files before now.
  10. "So you acted without knowing and from the sound of it you wish to continue to do so. Why do you insist on staying in this world? You do not belong here. You belong in another world, whether it be the one above or the one below. I am fairly certain I know where your destination is, but in any case, you do not belong here. If your purpose for being on this earth is to seek answers so that you can cause greater destruction, then you have no business here. If you don't put up a fight, we will dispatch you cleanly and effortlessly to whichever realm you belong. If, however, you resist..." I turn to the leader of the Crimson Crown. "I do not like your organization one bit, although perhaps I see you in a slightly more favourable light now than in my last encounter with you. I still hate your cardinal and wish to her life if I should ever meet her since she intended to end mine. Nonetheless, it seems for today, we will side with you as our goals seem to be in alignment, at least as far as dispatching the shadows is concerned."
  11. Yay! Just checked the LDD and LDraw forum for the first time in a while and I find this. Great to have a new version especially as I'm just setting up a new computer. Thanks, Sergio! Great work as always.
  12. Just had the chance to use one of these when building with a friend's bricks. They are so worthy having. Freedom from all frustration while building.
  13. Disappointed for the US and Switzerland and a few of the others. Ah well! Interesting semi-final. Looking forward to seeing Germany in the finals and frankly I don't care who against. Leaning slightly towards Argentina, because of Messi, but poor Netherlands need to win the World Cup sometime, right?
  14. Something tells me that Boomingham wouldn't mind being in the hall right around now. Teleportation anyone?
  15. "A test! Pah! She is a liar and someday I will get my hands on her and end her for her evil intentions. I've heard that speech before about if someone wanted me dead, I would be dead, but it's never true. You all try to make yourselves sound so powerful, but more often than not, you're just pathetic lunatics. Look at the way you hide your faces even. If you are so powerful, you wouldn't be afraid to show yourselves. "I will not take it as a complement that I helped to smooth any relations between Heroica and your organization. Even in the state Heroica is in presently, I still half suspect that the heroes who killed one of your 'oldest teams' were probably very just in doing so. Nevertheless, your intentions here seem decent as far as they can be. I am willing to help you end the corruption of this abomination since that was my reason for coming here anyway. Whatever happens from there...well...we shall see won't we?" I nod appreciatively at Soryx. "Always a pleasure to work with you. You should stop by the hall sometime." "You careless beasts!" I snarl. "Why do you raise to a state of undeath those who rest. I hate all that you stand for. I know not whether Selarae was worthy of life or death, but die she did. The very least you could do was let her body rest in peace. It is this state of possession that had me fighting many a necromancer in my time. Soryx, you know this. You have fought with me against one at least. The dead should be allowed to rest. Their bodies should not be disgraced in this way. You shades want to continue her work, you say? You want to avenge. Vengeance on whom? Do you think any of those who killed you still live? Our resident demon has already told you otherwise. Fools! You say that you wish to destroy and you were going to use the gnomes for that purpose no doubt. If we had not stopped you, you would have gone about destroying everything and everyone in your 'quest for answers.' We have stopped the majority of the threat, but your blackened souls are unchanged. It would be pointless for us to leave you be. If nothing else, we do you a favour by laying you to rest. Torment the lifeless no more, I command you!" I listen impatiently to the rangers conversation with the possessed elf. "Don't give in," I mumble. "You are on the right track and doing well. I can see you have had many experiences that have shaped you greatly. It is good, but make sure your feelings don't prevent you from making righteous judgment. It's been a pleasure working with you thus far."
  16. I'll send you a PM.
  17. Faceless beings! All too familiar. My heart fills with rage as I see the intruders enter the room. Devils the lot of them. Look just like our own party leader. Disgusting! Despicable. "Hmm, I seem to recall you being the ones who attacked on sight last time around," I growl. "That is, if you are who I think you are." I grasp my broomstick as the leader confirms their affiliation with the organization I hate and despise. The only organization who could beat me. The words of the spokesman for the organization are surprisingly good and highly agreeable. I remember on that day long ago when Sofia had given us her reward for our job well done. Perhaps they are not all bad after all, I think pensively, but then... "Why did you attack us? We did your work for you and you came back for us to try to end us. There was no need for that. She sent them. She wanted us dead. She could have left us with our reward and let us go our way, but instead she tried to attack and to kill us all? What makes you think I would trust an organization who tried to kill me after I helped to protect one of its leaders? What debt did Heroica 'owe' you anyway? And most important of all, why are you faceless like this creation of man here?" I nod in Jeaux's direction. "Are you too merely a creation of another mortal?" "What happened with the guild?" I demand of Hybros and Wally. "And why did I not hear of it before? You know that I have good reputation with the guild and have helped them out before. What did these foul creatures do?" "I've heard enough from you, you sniveling...pig. Did you really think we were ever planning on keeping the shades alive? Did you? Did you really think we'd let them go and possess everyone in the world and drag them into shadow so they could find the secrets of their past which are unknown in this modern day and age. You are a brainless, mindless fool! You caused this mistake, your needless and useless experiments were just made to further your cause and you brought torment to a whole city and now you are saying you want to keep your experiment alive? For what, pray tell? You are a fool is unwilling to see the error of his ways and presses on in his ignorance. Either that, or this hasn't been a mistake at all, and you are controlling the shades and trying to possess all of mankind through them. Frankly, you should be very, very happy if you get out of this alive, for I told my party before that I have every intention of killing the creator of those fell shadows unless he could convince me to do otherwise. You have done anything but that as of yet. If anything I feel all the more justified in ending you at once, and I think I have a friend behind the door here who would be more than willing to help me out too. These shades cannot be permitted to live and you stand up for them any longer, you will die with them. I hate the Crimson Crown and all they stand for, or at least I thought I did, but I think I might hate you and your ignorance even more."
  18. I did ask people who'd be willing to help to get in contact with me a while back, but only Masked responded and Masked has not been active recently. Maybe what I wanted was not too clear either.
  19. "Why were you destroyed? I'm not sure really, but here's a thought, maybe you were as annoying when you were alive as you are now that you are dead. Tell me, what Necromancer has raised you and given you this undeath, this torment. What you need is not answers. What you need is release. Release from this body that your soul has been shackled to by the works of those who dabble in the darkness. I do not know whether you are worthy rest. I doubt it seeing the actions of your shadow and shadows, but may it never be said the let a soul remain in the torment of the flesh after his time. May your soul either rest in peace or burn in torment, but may it no longer be conjoined with your flesh in so tormentful a relationship." I tighten my hold on my Dual Staff and nod to Soryx.
  20. I do. I really do. It's just the set-making that's the problem for me. My computer crashed for a while and I just built a new one and set it up. I haven't yet installed the LDraw programmes, though. Digital building is just not the same as building with actual bricks though. Maybe I should make my sets simpler.
  21. If it's Masson, that can't be allowed. He owes his head to too many people. Not sure what I think about this rule change, but it can't be bad to fill the hall with new blood or renewed old blood...I think.
  22. "Such an error? Do you not realize the gravity of what you just did? You created something that could destroy the world as we know it. Have you no shame? Don't try to excuse yourself by pointing out the mistakes of others. The only reason that Heroica is forced to exist as the organization it is, is because of the likes of you. What were you doing hiding up here anyway? Did you even attempt to stop the process? Stop for a drink with your fiendish lady friend. Bah!" A rather large spittle flies from my mouth and lands on the ground.
  23. "So you are the creator that vile creation, are you, sniveling snout for mouth slime worker. By the way, excuse me if I didn't hear it, but there was no apology made to the citizens of Zylstra, or to us for that matter for your deeds, hardly anything to show that you are even remotely sorry for what you've done. People could have been killed, you know? At the rate this machine was spewing things out, anything could have happened, the city could have been taken over. Also, Wally, why were you tied up where we found you, was it by yours and the doctor's design or what? Also, what use were you planning on putting these weapons to in the first place? All I can say is that I'm glad they appear to be of such a shoddy workmanship. Also, is it just me or does that very much look like another shade back there." I am furious and getting madder.
  24. Endgame, this is going to be your grand finale, right?
  25. Nur is hilarious! Nice way of getting the assassin away.
