  1. "Lordy, Lord! What's going on down here," I mumble. I dig with my Magic Shovel. In the other room, I check to see if the cloak of the Paladin is useful or if there are any other clues or items of interest on his body.
  2. Feeling frustration at not taking out the undead as quickly as I would like and also wanting to see how the goods would be delivered underground, I sign up for the lottery.
  3. Damn! Missed those tags. I really need to get a quest rolling.
  4. They sound good to me, although I'm not sure how the deal with petrified will change much from what it is now if an enemy is afflicted with it.
  5. I double-heal the troll from the Back Row. "Hmm, it seems my healing powers have a hard time working against the enemy. I need to get used to fighting undead again. I've been wielding regular weapons instead of the spiritual ones for too long."
  6. Pretzel's in the back row actually.
  7. I repeat. "Why are all my healings failing? It's been too long since I've fought undead."
  8. Grr... I dual heal the Expired Elf and Human from the Back Row.
  9. Proof that Hoke really is one of the more intelligent heroes around.
  10. I guess I can live with it.
  11. I dual-heal the Human and Mopagian from the back row. "Death to these abominations!"
  12. Oh, right! Sorry, I don't know what I was reading before.
  13. I don't think my Dual Staff would Dual Heal. No problem though. In one of the only quests where I used healing to attack undead, damage and special damage were rolled against me anyway. Yes, I'm still looking at you, CJP!
  14. I'll pull a Zakura: Nerf rogues.
  15. "What?!? I'm not giving my Dual Staff to anyone. I traded my Cross of Light for that!" Suddenly, I see the undead rushing for us. "Well, if it helps win the battle." I hand the Dual Staff to Thalion from the Back Row.
  16. No really, in Windows there really is a "Choose What Closing the Lid does" in Power Options. It seems you're not as in the can as we thought...but maybe Windows is in general.
  17. Congrats, WBD! I'm sure you'll be in a generous mood with your loot too. Are you sure you don't have a setting on "shut down" for "when I close the lid"?
  18. "Of course I'm in here," I shout to Thalion, before everyone else joins us. "Hey, Thalion or Heckz, maybe you could light up this diamond in my dual staff. It's glow will probably light the room well enough."
  19. Wait a minute, are you both doing that?
  20. I don't string together long speeches when not talking for Pretzel, but basically I agree with Flipz. When enemies start becoming too powerful, they stop becoming interesting or fun. They're just always the same...kind of. I think this is why I still appreciate Endgame's quests geared to newbies, because they're usually not as much focused on some big powerful being who's controlling everybody...oh, wait (Death Progg, Masson...)
  21. "Anyone want these Shackles of War?" I query. Atramor finds the clue, apparently, but nothing too significant happens. "Pah! It's probably just ridiculous!" I say, stepping onto the snowflake.
  22. Another great quest, Kintobor! As usual, I liked the NPCs. The battles were good too. To me there seemed to be a bit of a steep jump between the difficulty of the first battles and the last one, but I will have to review that. In any case, the PCs came out on top so that battle can't have been too hard. Disappointing that the quest seemed quite sometime due to a lack of participation from the party, especially Hoang Anh. Like his last quest, it sometimes seemed to be just Comrade Commander and Kintobor, but I think LEGO Spy worked his way in a little later on. I like Darksten a lot and hope to quest with him sometime in the future.
  23. Run down is after all those heroes are finished with their drinks, poisoned arrows, crusaders, etc.
  24. As Atramor snaps up the gold, I cast a glance at the chain to see if it would be useful for some purpose or if there's anything else in the barrel.
