Past monday all I found in a local toystore was a single 8631 Jetpack Pursuit sitting on a more or less empty shelf. So I'm guessing that the first line of agents is a seller.

Look at the front of the car in this set. What piece are those 1x1 Round Trans-clear plates put on? It seems to be hal a plate thick sugesting either this or this piece. But if it is too wide (1x6) to be the 2436 1x2 - 1x4 Bracket. And if it were the 44728 1x2 - 2x2 bracket wouldn't that be seen as a half a plate behind that black front too? Or is there any other piece that can look like that?

It seems like the T-shirts are from Band of Outsiders wich also has Clothes in the actual LEGO-colors! But there doesn't seem to be an online shop to actually buy them. :(
-
Has anyone found their way into that store where they sell those T-shirts??

I find it a little bloated and limited in usage possabilities. I would have prefered a separate drive-engine and stearing module. And why can't that IR sensor dome-thingy be a separate piece from the actual reciever. Let it be attached by a cable much like thoose PF-lights are. That would make the IR-reciever so much more intresting than being one bloated piece as it is now. /Johan

why are the 2009 sets preview deleted ?
Mirandir replied to shimon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Not if Lego has made most of the job for them. They can take "inspiration" from LEGO and make their own versions. Read: Rip-off the designs with smaller alterations. And most clones already have pieces that are close to identical to LEGO's. It's only next years new pieces that can be hard to rip-off in just a few months. Yeah. As soon as the original source is closed down you can bet there are soon at least ten new folders with the leaked content up on brickshelf and/or flickr no more than an hour later. As soon as the pictures hit Brickshelf or flickr it's to late to stop them from spreading. /Johan -
Ohg I guess I was wrong about that then. But AFAIK the Premium edition can only be bought directly from Fantasiaverlag.
-
You can't buy the book on S@H as it's not made by LEGO themselves. It's made by a German publisher, fantasiaverlag, that seems to specialize in collector catalogues like this. Here's a link to were you can order the book. /Johan

It took exactly a week from order to arrival.

I got mine today. And looking on the underside of that 1x8 LEGO fan/ANNO 1958 brick it looks just like the old bricks I have since childhood. On the new 1x8 bricks the "pins" (or whatever they are called) are hollow. So I'm kind of guessing that "ANNO 1958" means that the brick is produced using an older method/mold or are old bricks. Or it's just my brick that is messed up during the mold.

LEGO has a history of being extremly secretive about things. Even though it's getting better and better. I see two reasons why Lego wish to keep the coming sets a secret for as long as possible. 1.) Clone brands will see what LEGO is planning to release and may have time to counter it with own, similar, sets. 2.) I also believe that LEGO might fear that when the new cool stuff is shown it will have an effect on the sales of the current sets. New sets are always more appealing to buy than older ones. So seeing the new cool stuff people will save their money to buy the news as they are released in January (December it seems if you live in the US). -
A few of the pics has spread to flickr.

To me those pictures look kind of prototype-ish. At least that flying wing set as that big nazi dude has bad skin. Or does he have three nipples? ;) Anyhow it's Patric's torso used on the picture.

Thanks a billion for the one I got from you already. But I'm a gready basted so ofcourse I want more...

There is a LEGOMeeting planned this fall in Eskilstuna. Besides the usual MOCdisplaying and other LEGOrelated events there will time set aside for a discussion about the future course of SWELug. But unfourtnunatly there seems like the interest is quite low. So hereby I wan't to encourage all Swedish members of Eurobricks to go and declare which weekends you can be in Eskilstuna. And I want you to do it yesterday!

If I remember correctly there were 1200 of this set made.

Yeah I've thought about building a door wit pieces but has still to come up with a useable design.

This 1 USD = 1 Euro = 10 SEK exchange rate isn't exactly unique to LEGO. I've seen it be used for other products as well. I can't remember what it was about but I've seen that exact complaint about the exact same exchange rates elsewere and it wasn't about LEGO. This has been discussed like a billion times. There's even an official explanation from LEGO here. The only other option is to buy Mega Blox, Hawk Blocks or other clone-brands. But I don't think there are that many among us who would even consider doing that.

So I've kind of begun a project on building a local grocery store in Lego. And the project includes the inside as well as the facade. including lift-off roof, shelves cashiers and all that. But it seems like the project is going to crash and burn before it's even started. :( And it more or less comes down to colors. The root of the problem is the doors of the entrance/exit. Theese are glassdoors with an aliminium, i think, frame. Here's a picture of the entrance (it's crappy I know but it's the only one I've got): They look a lot like theese doors. But there are some faults with that door: A. They open in the incorrect direction. The lego doors open outwards while the real things open inwards. B. There's a separate entrance door and one exit door. Actually this whole entrance/exit thing resembles an air lock as there are glassed short corridors with another pair of doors on the inside. (Its an odd solution to force people leaving the store to pass the cashiers) So the exit door needs to have it's backside pointing out. And this door piece is just plain ugly on the backside. C. This door is to "short" as its only five bricks high and to be on scale I need them to be 6 bricks high. So I figured that theese doors would make an ok substiture with light bley doorframes. But It's just that. The 1x4x6 doorframe doesn't exist in light bley or any other light grey color. So annoyed by that fact I thought that if I'm desperate enough I can use the 1x4x6 window frame instead. But no. They arent available in any shade of light gray either. So What would you do? Go with the "faulty" and in a certain way ugly, 1x4x5 doors? Use different color for the 1x4x6 doorframes or just drop the whole project and build something else?

It's back again on S@H and now the releasedate is earlier than before. Now it'll ship by 15 september rather than 1 Oct

LEGO Collector's Guide & LEGO Collector - Premium Edition

I guess that this limited edition is going to sell out pretty fast now... Do the other golden bricks, 50 years celebration bricks, have the years engraved/printed on them too? -

I just got in time to catch a glimce off it on S@H and it is way cheaper than I expected. Just hope they don't go and do a "Death Star" on it...
