  1. Man I was just thinking, how dope would it be to have a World of Warcraft line in a similar vein to Harry Potter? Hopefully with Mario they begin taking look at more video game licenses.
  2. Man I was positive Sightseeing in Europe was going to win. Super disappointed but hey I guess I save $85. Congrats to Sailing Ship Adventure!
  3. Dying to see Diagon Alley
  4. Wow - amazing job! This is what I wish the D2C Hogwarts contained, even if it would have been $600-$800 instead of $400.
  5. It didn't say pre-order for me, it said add to bag. I ordered Hedwig and the payment went through, but then I received a similar email to @joeee where it said the item was sold out. This doesn't seem to be normal preorder procedure compared to the other things I've preordered, such as video games. Interesting they would do this without even having a release date up.
  6. I gotta say, I'm not particularly into the HP play-sets as much as the larger model sets, but this year's 4 Privet Drive is an exceptional set. So many amazing choices - The chain in the trunk, hidden staircase room, mail slot for the fireplace. Really well done
  7. Well you know us Americans only care about our bubble of a country I am shocked though, I would have thought Seinfeld and Friends overlapped in their audience more, with both being adult friends living together in NYC.
  8. Yea I'm surprised people aren't aware of how big Seinfeld was - probably moreso than Friends. That being said, I'm pretty disappointed with the results. If anything it's because there's going to be almost a full year of Ideas sets that don't interest me Oh well, onto the next review phase!
  9. The only ones I kinda like in this review cycle is Ratatouille and Zelda. Horse stables from BOTW aren't the most interesting thing though, so maybe hold off until there's a more iconic set.
  10. Exactly, after awhile it just gets old to see average sets that use a popular franchise like Animal Crossing or Avatar make it to 10k in a week because of the license. Lego Ideas is dope to me for those general ideas that are executed amazingly, such as the Tree House or Pirate Bay. That's not to say all licensed stuff is bad. Just a little more creativity is appreciated. On a different note, which contest ideas do you all hope win the Holiday contest? I think Sightseeing in Europe is the most well done of the bunch.
  11. November 1st seems like a long time between sets, no? Also I have no idea how a piano is going to have 3662 pieces jesus. I still have a feeling that one is Sesame Street but what do I know
  12. True, which reminds me, I wish they would make a microscale Hogwarts similar to DA that covers the entire castle grounds.
  13. I mean let's be real, The DA set will most likely be a larger version of the microscale 2018 set, ya? 5 stores aligned similarly to a modular set.
  14. Stoppp don't get me excited!
  15. I'm gonna be #teamseparate. B&B has been done before, and it doesn't really give the vibe that I want out of the DA set. Would much rather have The Leaky Cauldron and Quidditch Supplies and things like that.
  16. Personally, I wish they would choose less licensed stuff. The best sets are the super creative ones like the tree house and the piano.
  17. Ah ok. Damn $350 seems like a lot still for the piano, yea? I guess we'll see
  18. I don't know I kinda like the black boxes? Though having a Harry Potter set in that style may feel a bit "off". I don't mind it for more model-like sets though.
  19. Awesome! Can't wait to buy this set. What was the leaked price? Edit: Just saw - $350. Wouldn't that more likely be Sesame Street? I can't imagine the piano being that much.
  20. I can't wait to purchase the piano for my brother and the blacksmith for myself! Personally, the the sets I would love to see get made are Castle in the Forest, Ratatouille, and Train Station: Studgate. I love Zelda but don't personally think the horse stable nor the BOTW Castle are that particularly interesting.
  21. Has anyone ever considered building a Hogwarts MOC like this? Honestly this appeals to me more than the official Hogwarts Micro set, as it captures the entire castle. Wish Lego would do something official like this. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-25280/MOMAtteo79/hօgwarts-castle-architecture/?inventory=1#comments
  22. Man for $400 I'm expecting a massive set. Don't just want a more detailed version of the 2011 set.
  23. Personally, since I would use this set as more of a show piece, I don't mind either way. But I totally understand why minifig would be preferred. At least if it's microscale we would get to cover a lot of the alley.
  24. Ugh now I'm getting excited for DA news Edit: Looks like I was right! He just posted DA coming Sep. 2020, $399
  25. Wait how do we know D2C sets aren't affected?
