  1. My brother had this set, but it always struck me as kind of useless. A truck meant specifically for changing lightbulbs on street lights. Cute, but kind of limited in its uses in my opinion. It looks good with a crane though. The roof piece will go on my XB Falcon. I kind of hit a wall with that one though, I had to make it 7 wide(wayyyy outside my comfort zone) and I'm struggling to make it look right from the A-pillar back. I'll snap a pic later to get your thouhts on it.
  2. A lot of water sports going on for winter.
  3. Nice little vig and I love the idea of this as a gift.
  4. I like this black one even better, thanks for sharing it. The stance and front end scream Ford GT to me, though you mentioned Porsche and I can see a tad bit of 914 in there too.
  5. I like this moc a lot. This brings back a lot of memories for me. My friend and I used to build vehicles like this. They're so simple but offer useable futuristic vehicles. I like the low budget look of them. I always thought they looked like cars that were already old when they were converted into flying cars. My friend even had his character attach boosters to the yellow car from Main Street.

Great MOC! Day of the Dead is my favorite of the series. I remember when I was younger, back in the VCR days, I recorded Top Gun on one of the movie channels and Day of the Dead was on after it and it accidentally got recorded, but what a treat that was! I love the look of your accidental lighting. It really sets the mood of the scene.
  7. Or perhaps the most famous of all Falcons...
  8. Well, a coupe, I was thinking a GT 351
  9. Thanks guys for the comments. I'm in love with the Interceptor GT, that basic design is something I've been tinkering with for the better part of a decade now and I think this is the best it has looked, even though it is mostly a Lego design. I'm very proud of the Stallions too, I've wanted to redo the Lego Small Car into something better since I first got the set. Now the challenge is building an Octan small car on the same chassis while making it look distinctive enough from the Bolts.
  10. Very nice design, I love the exhausts and pop up headlights. It definitely screams Ferrari. A bit of 308 and F430 makes it look classic and modern at the same time. I've long wanted to build a supercar, but my comfort zone is 4 wide so its a bit of a challenge.
  11. Great looking rear on the ute. I think I may try a Falcon XB in this scale, even though it will look out of place in my town.
  12. Lmfao! I love this story so far, very entertaining. Keep up the good work.
  13. Thanks guys. I like the SUV too, but the thing is MASSIVE. It even looks big next to the Seagrave, so I'm thinking about shrinking the wheelbase by two studs. I need to invest in more car parts in different colors. I'd like to make an Octan sedan in brown, and a small Octan to compete with the Stalion is coming.
  14. I like it. That low front and the rear spoiler really give it that tuner look, not to mention it's cop-magnate-orange.
  15. I'm at a loss for words. There's so much awesomeness going on in that gallery. As a car guy though I have to say yours are all amazing. Jalopnik.com did a "10 most realistic Lego cars" feature last week, had I seen these earlier I would have suggested submitting one of them. truly amazing work. I work at a Dodge dealership so I'm a bit surprised to see the Charger, Neon, Intrepids, Sebring, and Concorde. I love the Viper GTS, New Yorker and 911 Classic. And that Miura is absolutely stunning!
  16. I had some free time on my hands today so I decided to re-photograph my vehicle collection. Most of these i've posted before, but since I reshot them all I figured I would post them all. As I've said before, I much prefer the traditional 4-wides to the newer city style cars, but I plan to add some of them too. Octan COE(Cab Over Engine) Light Duty This is a MOD of the small pickup from 10041/6390 Main Street. I didn't alter it much aside from the bed, but I did build a second one which is slightly larger. I've decided to place it under the Octan brand. In my Lego world, Octan sells oil and automobiles! Bolt Stallion Sprint & GT Meant to be a compact Pony car, I feel it's slightly reminiscent of the hatchback Fox-body Mustangs of the 1980's. I wanted to build something as small as Lego's 3177 Small Car, but with more style(I can't stand Smart Cars) and I think I succeeded. First the 6-cylinder Sprint... And the V8-powered Stallion GT! With a slight modification to the front I feel it makes a decent Minifig-scale Toyota AE86. Bolt Interceptor GT 440 A MOD of the police car from 4850 Spiderman's First Chase. A large muscle car powered by a 440 cubic inch V8 derived from the engine used in the Bolt Interceptor that will pace the first running of the 24 Hours of Legoredo road race(something I will get to as I grow my town a bit more this year.) Bolt Interceptor Police Special The Bolt Interceptor line ranges from 6-cylinder sedans to V8 powered station wagons. Here is the Police Special. Using the same wheelbase as the Interceptor Coupe, but the rear overhang is 1 stud shorter and the base of the windshield has been moved forward a stud for increased maneuverability and visibility for the officer. Seagrave Hook and Ladder I know I could more properly capture the look of these trucks in an 8-wide, but I just love the way this came out. Octan Kodiak Octan's Hummer H1 size Sport Utility Vehicle. A MOD of the 4x4 from 7206, this is the Fire Chief's vehicle of choice. Octan Blaze Commander Not so much a MOD as a rebuild. I rebuilt it from memory so it's slightly different in the rear and the sticker is long gone by now. This was one of my favorites when I was little. 6525 Thanks for looking, C&C is welcome as always.
  17. No, I like the way you've left it open for various rear tray applications rather than just sticking a plain pickup bed on it. There's something so cool about a large sedan turned into a mini dumptruck.
  18. Took my advice, eh? It looks good. I like that you didn't fit it with a bed either. Us Americans are typically teased with the HSV Maloo and the FPV Pursuit and the like, so it's easy to forget that you guys use these as real trucks, not just muscle cars. That said, I agree with 12V, I'm not big on the 6 wide cars. 4 wide seems more natural to me, perhaps because it's what I grew up with. Maybe I'll turn the Bolt Interceptor into a ute, the girlfriend has work so I have a few free hours haha.
  19. I love this firetruck LT, though maybe it could use some stickers? It looks a bit plain. As for the cop car, I say DO IT! I've wanted to build a good looking 50's car for a while, maybe you could give me some inspiration.
  20. I'll comment properly later(as I'm at work on my phone right now) but as always I love your work. I'm usually not fond of the city style cars, but you make them work so well. I especially like that supercar with the Stig. The Steinwinter is really amazing. The real thing is pretty amazing too, though as you said, the streamlined tractor is a bit pointless considering the trailer is as aerodynamic as a brick. The Supercar is great, the color combo screams Veyron, as does the air intake above the roof. The Rat Rod looks alot like a motorcycle I've seen around a few times. I love the color and the use of hands as headers. I definitely see Lagonda in your American Sedan, particularly the long front overhang. The Lagonda had much more of a wedge shape though.
  21. I was very surprised to see it there. Had I not seen it before on here I would have thought it was a new set. Also, I didn't realize you were in my area. I'm out on Long Island. What was the website on that card for AFOLs?
  22. Guess what I saw the other day! It looks even better in person.
  23. A 6 wide Fiesta?? I know it'd have to be big to get some of the details right, but I think it would look far too big for a Fiesta. A 6 wide Mondeo might look right, or a Falcon. Falcon Ute, perhaps?
  24. Awesome helicopter, I love all the small details. I can't wait to see the ship brick built.
  25. Nice little town you have there so far. Reminds me of how much I hate working with baseplates on carpet though, lol. All my old layouts were on the floor and I have very plush carpets so its a bit hard to work with sometimes. I've since moved to our old train table, but I need a larger one to be able to do what I want. The internet may be the cheaper way to get baseplates. I went to the lego store in Nyc yesterday and they wanted $16 for 2 road plates. Far too expensive imo. For a dollar less you can fill up one of their large cups with enouh bricks to build a small building. Then again, that was Manhattan, so everything is a bit more expensive.
