  1. Sorry it took a while to reply. I was working Saturday and we took a family trip into New York City yesterday so I haven't had much time to post. How is the bottom piece connected?
  2. Very nice moc. It's definitely recognizable as a delorean. I'd love to attempt one of these myself one day, with functional gullwing doors.
  3. Farmer wilf bears an uncanny resemblance to the detective in my town. Perhaps he runs into a tractor salesman at the farmer's disco, but not before he does some disco dancing.
  4. I'm kicking myself now. My car dealership is built mostly with pieces from my classic Town airport. I preferred that one to the City one too. After the modulars, I may get a train, if I don't start doubling up on modulars.
  5. Oh I must have missed the chain saw and sign. Very clever.
  6. Thanks guys. I'll update this thread as my town grows.
  7. The low roof, short wheelbase Sprinter seems to be Ducato sized, or at least about the size of the one you posted. I work at a Dodge dealer, we used to sell Sprinters. Now that Fiat owns Chrysler, the Ducato is replacing the Sprinter here, so I figured they're about the same size. A Sprinter wheel is about as big as a typical SUV's wheel.
  8. The size of the Ducato makes the wheels look small, but if I'm not mistaken, it's about the size of a Mercedes Sprinter, so the wheels are actually fairly large. The smaller wheels you used would work for the smaller Fiat Doblo. Both of these vans are coming to the US as Dodges.
  9. Get nice little town so far. I love all the action, reminds me of the stories I used to come up with. I like how you used the apartment of the pet shop as a police department, very clever.
  10. Layout I got my Pet Shop in the mail yesterday and my girlfriend and I just finished building it tonight. With my car dealership, "Bolt", the reconstruction of Legoredo begins. I'm getting Fire Brigade for Christmas and I'll get the Grand Emporium after i take care of her Christmas presents lol. Thanks for looking, C&C is welcome as always. I know I have a long way to go yet, but ya gotta start somewhere. Update 3/4/12: Update 5/1/12 Update 11/24/12 12/25/12 1/4/13 1/30/13 3/31/13
  11. I'm in the process of building my modular collection. I wish I had the extra cash for TB. The Pet Shop just came in the mail yesterday and next on my list is the Grand Emporium. My town has a long way to go before I could even incorporate the TB into it. I could be mistaken, but I'm .pretty sure there was another topic on a TB MOD not too long ago.
  12. I could see the Tower Bridge as any sort of minifig-scale bridge. I'd like to combine two and have it span a small river as a two lane bridge for cars.
  13. Very nice work so far, I like the service area a lot. Can you take a few more pics.of the lift?
  14. Mondeo, I'd love yo try an Xb Falcon though now that you mention it.
  15. There's a model we don't get lol. You guys get quite a few we don't
  16. Is it possible to buy all the pieces together, but not the actual set?
  17. I wish I had the money to build a fire station like that. I'm getting Fire Brigade for Christmas, but I need 3 more bays to fit all my trucks, and a helicopter pad too.
  18. I love that wheel balancing machine, it looks almost exactly like the one we have at work! The tire machine is great too, pretty accurate, though ours is top of the line and has more arms and other gadgets. Also, the hammer wouldn't go with that, but with the wheel balancer you use a small hammer to put the wheel weights on the wheel. I like the jack too, nice design, but perhaps it's a bit bulky? Especially compared to the actual lego one. Is that meant to be a socket on the drill?
  19. I have the mechanism mostly finished. Now I have to work out a few kinks, line the bottom up with the flooring and make it look more like a real lift and not just a few Technic pieces sticking out of a wall. Like you said, practice makes perfect. I must have tried 10 different things last night.
  20. Very nice mod. At Walt Disney World a few years back, they had a life size Lightning McQueen and Mater driving around one of the parks. This reminds me of that. Good job.
  21. I have one idea to try later that may not need a ramp at all. We will see if it works. Good luck with yours LT.
  22. If you upload them to Photobucket you can set it so they all upload as a more manageable size, I always do 640x480. Then you can just copy and paste the image code from Photobucket. I love that tram BTW. That SNOT front end is great, and the controls behind it. It looks like the front of my Seagrave fire truck.
  23. I'll admit I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to technology, but do you need Bluetooth to go on the internet? I just hook up to my house's wi-fi connection and then I have a data plan so I can surf the web without wi-fi. I've never used the Bluetooth on my phone lol. Anyway, the problem I have with building my lift is the part the car sits on. I don't want to have to use ramps to get it onto the lift, but I can't figure out how else to do it. I have one idea I want to try when I get home(assuming I didn't yet my Pet Shop in the mail, in which case I will be building that with my girlfriend).
  24. While its not the best camera, my smart phone works pretty good for this purpose. I have it set so when I take a picture it's automatically uploaded to my Photobucket, taking a whole step out of the process. And even though I can't post the pics to this site from my phone, it at least allows me to be here all day. A worthwhile investment if you don't already have one.
  25. Please please please post pics of the lift when its completed. As you saw in mine, the shop is very small and I'm stumped on how to make a life fit.
