  1. Well spoken! This comment hits the nail on the head.
  2. Simple can be a beautiful thing. Or to quote a wise man from the past: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" And yes, I agree with the building steps. I could not care less for a speed build, but highlighting the different stages of the build and telling something about it awesome. That's exactly the level of detail I'm looking for.
  3. That is a personal preference. I prefer the videos Balasz makes. Full of information, clearly explained in a personal way. That's what I am looking for in a channel.
  4. I have split the post into a separate topic. This deserves a topic Hands down the best LEGO Technic channel on Youtube. Congrats buddy, you've earned it!
  5. Hi, If you have a problem with someones posting behavior, please use the report button and refrain from mini-modding. Let Moderators and Admins do their work please. To make myself clear; I am not saying your are wrong, I am not saying your are right. I'm saying to use the report button or sending a PM to a staff member if you want to discuss it in more detail.
  6. We sure do! Multiple ones if I am not mistaken.
  7. This is a very nice set. I really do like the minifigs. Instantly recognizable. Thanks for the review!
  8. I am not the biggest Marvel fan, but I can imagine fan being very happy with this set! Thanks for the outstandig review, as always!
  9. Adhere to the KISS methodology. I would love to see a modern version of the example image
  10. No worries! Your question was valid. And I had to think about it
  11. Exactly. I appreciate that people want to go the extra mile, but sometimes less is more.
  12. Your program proves that a physical remote is so much better. I recently met up with Laurens to lend him one of my models, so we did some testing with firmware updates and remotes etc. Pybricks is impressive
  13. Just tried this program. Very cool!
  14. Okay, I will make the rules more clear NO MANUAL SWITCHING BETWEEN POWERED FUNCTIONS You can think about omitting the driving and steering part and leave that as manual functions. Or you can try to use the bigger hub. The choice is yours I'm sorry for not allowing this, but manual switching of functions touches the soul of this contest.
  15. The words/terms "manual" and "core functionality" are not to be combined, sorry. I started with a single motor for the transformation and I ended up allowing three to allow some flexibility, but I won't budge for manual functions The idea behind the contest is that you remotely control the vehicle/transformation. A manual gearbox doesn't make sense in that regard. Again sorry, I'm sure you have someting wonderful in mind, but it's not in the spirit of the contest. You have to find a way to switch between the group of functions while doing the transformation. That might be feasible and it would probably catapult you towards the top 3
  16. All the motor driven functions need to be remotely controlled. Manual switching defeats the purpose of the contest, I'm sorry. If I allow this, I'm opening a can of worms. Manual functions only for extra stuff like opening doors, and I wouldn't object to manual steering. But the core functionality should be remotely controlled.
  17. That is actually a good comment, which I haven’t memtioned. It needs to be able to transform back and forth
  18. Nope. Let's stick to regular vehicles. And for those of you who are seeking loopholes; there will probably be jury voting followed by public voting (the opposite as last contest). So going for the loophole is fine, but don't expect that your entry will go on to the second stage of voting.
  19. The final push to go ahead with this contest is the rumored transforming vehicle by TLG, so we like to see vehicles as well.
  20. Sorry, I was convinced I answered your question. It has to be a vehicle sorry.
  21. That's basically what I changed, except for the fourth motor, but maybe you are right. I like simplicity. Okay noted. I will change the rules to the final version. I like to keep the rules as simple as possible. And like Erik said; you can still use two motors for the transformation, but that will costs you one of the other motors.
  22. I have decided to slightly alter the rules. Check the topic to find out the details.
