Mustang alternatives
Jim replied to Guyinaplaguemask's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I agree with @Void_S that it's getting harder to distinguish the difference between Creator Expert and Model Team. I am not against allowing Creator Expert vehicles in our forum (since they to do feel like the successors to Model Team), but maybe it's confusing to distinguish between Creator Expert vehicles and other sets. I will talk to @Milan about it. -
Yup! And I am delighted to say that I will doing a review of that set. Tim has offered me instructions and I gladly accepted the offer. I was planning on doing more C-model building (and reviewing). Since I don't MOC a lot and the built review sets are taken apart and hardly touched again, I do think that's a waste of potential. So, I will be breaking apart sets and store them separately, so I can easily use them for building alternates.

You already answered that one, at least I thought you did "forgot the second question, I'm dumb." You won't regret it. It's a very cool set and if you are into MOC'ing or C-model building, this set gives you ample possibilties. Can't wait to see the cool alternative models on Rebrickable. -

Pricing and set information for 2022 has been floating around. Maybe I have missed it, but is there a topic for 2022 yet? -

That is a valid point! It seems like switching function does a mini-calibration each time. -

I just tested the app and I am actually quite satisfied with it. Driving is pretty fast and the functions work better than I expected (maybe because of my low expectations hehe). There is downtime between switching a function and operating it, but I simply press the button once, wait for the function to be selected and operate the function. I guess it's time to finish the functions section -
That is f’ing awesome I need walls like those!

I just noticed I mounted the LA’s upside down (the brackets) I will correct them when I take pictures with the grey backdrop. No sign of the app yet btw. -
This is an unexpected cool set! And a great review. I see what you did with the rating

Yup. And the question is; "how many of the 20% won't buy the set because of lack of B-model?". So the actual sales miss because of omiting B-models is probably negligable. -

Hehe. That will inevitably happen You're welcome I personally think that their sales figures do the talking. Of course there will be people complaining here on EB or on Facebook or whatever media, but would you care if you sell millions of copies? And let's not forget that lots of the people who complain about sets do buy them eventually. And TLG has proved to listen to us. Bigger LA's, bigger turntable, pneumatics V2, etc. Af the end of the day, I like to think that TLG knows better what sells and how to bring toys to the market. You don't become the #1 toy manufacturer by listening to a bunch of AFOLs -

I am all about having a mixed line-up btw. I love construction vehicles, but I'd rather see different stuff. Whether that includes boats...not sure. But I do love airplanes and helicopters. I do think that the Bulldozer is interesting enough to warrant a set, even though it "can only push". -

Well spoken! That is exactly the case. It is the case with more models, but this model does pack a lot of "common construction vehicle" parts.
