I totally get how you feel. It’s really ad to see a big change since 2000s. I feel that the younger generations show little or no interest in the original in-house themes - they have been arching Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter movies and they recognize the sets that are based on those movies. I don’t know if they have imaginations or not. But while growing up, I love using my imagination and come up with stories. It was such fun! I only have little interest in licensed sets becasue i buy dinosaurs from Jurasssic World, fantasy creatures from Harry Potter, cool minifigure parts/accesories from licensed theems seperateldly (in other words, not buying the whole sets) and use them for my in-house world.

Ijm glad that you think the Pharrell Williams spaceship set is cool/nice. However, to me, it’s….dull. It’s pretty silly that they produce a small spaceship for a$100 set. It looks like they throw some colorful pirates into it form “Everthing is Aweosme” set. And that frame with 48 heads? It looks like it’s FBI’s wanted photos on wall. But I like a few cool parts such as minifigure parts and that cockpit. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

What are WOT and ROP tanning for? -
Yeah, way too much licensed themes for sure. I have read arguments about Space sets being put into. City theme because there are no slots for it as a standal theme. However, I don’t mind that Space sets in City theme at all. I think 50;50 ratio would be great.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]

That’s fair, I agree with you on Blacksmith. It is quite oversized over LKC. I haven’t brought Viking Villagge set but i am at ally thinking about getting it because of printed parts. I don’t feel appealed to MTS becuase of stickers. Stickers for shields are a big minus. -
No worries at all! :)

Gotcha, thanks!! -
I don’t know if this does count as “unpopular” but i will drop it anyways…. it seems that Lego has so many licensed themes lately, such as Disney, Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Wednesday, Super Mario, Wicked, etc. And the company has FEWER -house themes, such as Monkie Kid, DreamZzzz, Ninjago, City, Friends, Creator. The Icons and Ideas themes are basically a blender of in-house and licened IP. I am a fan of minifig-focused in-house themes and I rarely buy sets from licensed themes. Are the licensed themes too much for Lego to keep up? I get that those theems appeal to different groups of fans (for example, Pharrell Williams set will appear to Pharrell’s fan bases). To me, I feel it’s not a right balance for both licensed and in-house themes.

Yeah it’s pretty possible for a tiger cub to show in CMF. Maybe we will not gt a Jungle variant Dr Kirby. Ugh, I want an Adventure CMF Series!

Same here. I would be interested in getting people’s pack to add to Space City sets. Not just asteroids but aliens too!

Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Lion King replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
True, Well that would be shame if they don’t include a new character (ghouL0 after it has been mentioned in books and made an appearance in video games. -
Where did you hear that about Space People’s Pack? I was not aware about that.

Wait are you talking about soccer table set, right? If so, then I agree with you. But it’s a different story - this spaceship set is licensed.

Such unfortunate for sure… I feel that Lego should introduce a hairpiece wit white streak printed on it. Thanks for sharing promo! When I saw Astrid’s appearance in one set from Wae 3, it has me wonder if we would see her in another set. And i do think she could be a new main character as she and Logan are cute together. So we shall see! I like that new verison too! Where did you find it? -

Really, it’s best to merge Zelda discussion with the existing Super Mario thread as Nintendo thread…. and I do WANT Super Mario minifigures. -
So all of those heads are new, right? Not eer reused from other licensed themes, such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, DC? I feel like that those head designs could explain why the price tag is high. Spaceship is simple and small, which it should be $20. I totally get that there is a licensing fee Lego shoudl pay but I will NOT buy that. I agree with TeriXeri that it will lure Pharrell fan over to Lego shelves.

I totally understand your reasons! At least we got LKC, Blacksmith, MTS sets. Although I prefer to see play set Castle theme itself. -

If there is a white streak on her (physical) hairpiece, I am interested! -
I can’t remember if the cub does have stud on its back. Since I’m at my work, I will need to check my cub when i get home. I am pretty. Sure Friends cub has no stud on it. EDIT: I just got home and took a look at a lion cub. It does have a stud on back. And I see that the sides are flat. I feel that they should have printed stripes across the sides….

Is it sae to say that they mistreats Space fans with this expsnive, small, dull black spaceship? I mean, sure, we got Galaxy Explorer in 2022 and we got decent wave of “Year of Space”. But I don’t feel that Pharrell Williams set comes with a big bang…
