That's the one good things about this, is it seems like the year that Marvel has upped their game (Referring to Infinity Saga and supposed D2C), Harry Potter has dropped the ball. At this leaves money to go towards Marvel sets this year. Haven't bought any comic sets for a while because they've had a rubbish few years. *pats on the back* I feel your pain. Not nice to hear about a theme that HAD been doing so well. Also just notice you are from Slovakia and decided to look up exactly where it is. Quickly realised that I know nothing about east European geography!

Part of me is hoping that this brick built objects thing is true. I was terrified at the start of the year how expensive LEGO Harry Potter was going to be this year, but as someone who only really collects minifigure scale sets, it's actually settling back to not much different from other years now. Part of me is grieving my Gringotts dream set. But definitely nice the idea of being able to forego something without feeling like i've missed out. I will be very interested to see the general consensus on it if it turns out to be true.

Past chess sets have had a LOT of useful and cool minifigures though. They looked cool because it was something different and the minifigures were useful elsewhere. Ive loved LEGO chess sets in the past, but not so much this one. I guess for some (myself included) it just looks like any regular old chess set with no other enticing point to it, so no point getting if you already own more exciting chess sets. Super happy for those who love it and you are right it does fit the scene well. I guess its just a nice easy pass for some people. And thats great too! 😁

I will be so happy if the figures in the chess set are identical to the forbidden corridor, as it would make this a super easy skip for me. But what do we think the chances are of two sets literally having the same figures (other than the gold one of course)? I mean it looks cool, but just really don't need a chess set personally. Also, I know it's just a super blurry picture, but is the first figure just the golden Snape? Looks nothing like Snape!

Obviously, like most people, I would have preferred sets in the original 2018+ style. But i'm pretty excited to see how these turn out. I'm going to reserve full judgement for when I see how it all comes together including whether anything in the August wave is incorporated. I think all in all it will make a nice and different display to be set up in another part of the house.

Dont care if its in a set, cmf, moments or what. But i need Hermione in the wedding dress before the theme ends.

While I would definitely like properly scaled figures. I don't mind them all being similar size. Kind of reminds me when you go to a theme park and all the characters are the same size. Think often Tweety is actually the largest at Movie World due to the big head.

It makes complete sense to most people. If you have to miss out on something why would you want it to be something you wanted? Of course people want there to be great sets, but its also good when there are ones you dont want because you can save money without missing out on something you really wanted. Dont really underatand how something that makes so much common sense could be a pet peeve?

He literally answered the question at the top of this page.

I can't be the only one that cringes everytime I hear someone joke about "dobby's sock" right? I learned my lesson from last year. I am not going to buy this "retailer exclusive" straight away from LEGO like I did the burrow last year as it ended up being $40 cheaper down the road at Kmart (apparently not retailer exclusive in Australia) before my LEGO order even arrived.

Just out of curiosity... these changes are they just a mix up of information that has been clarified or did LEGO literally change their plans?
-
Surely the other leak is just for the torso and legs right? Because the head and hair are Tina Goldstein. Be a bit weird for Tina to have a literal identical twin. I know they reuse faces and hair, but have there ever been figures in any theme with the exact same head and hair before? Excluding different versions of the same character of course. On second look... hair might not be the same colour.

Looks great! They haven't missed a beat so far with the June wave minifigures! Fingers crossed they've done the right thing with the toilet set! I know some people aren't too thrilled, but i'm really excited we are getting these gold figures. The will all look really nice on a little stand together in front of my Hogwarts display.

Could the difference just be explained by different uniform options for different genders? Not to be insensitive to anyone, but I couldn't really see a male pulling off the robe that Moaning Myrtle wears. May be more concrete information somewhere. I had never noticed before this discussion. Just my thoughts on viewing a couple of pictures.

Judging by the current 2021 lineup it's likely to be Russian Roulette. Will I get Gringotts or a Brickbuilt Remeberall?
-
Lol. Didn't mean it in a rude way. My first thought was just at Ron being excluded from the set and the major scene that stands out of Ron being on the outs was that one!
-
So... Harry and Hermione brick built??? I can't be the only one picturing the Horcrux scene with a large brick built Harry and Hermione making out in front of minifigure Ron right? I'm sure it will be the most memorable wave of the entire franchise. Just like how much a tiny pebble stands out when it's in your shoe. I'm honestly very, very happy though as I haven't missed a single minfigure scale set this whole theme and I was really anxious as to how I was going to try and afford all the sets when the original price list was leaked. Guess its all a little more for people with disposable income whilst being a reprieve for those without.

Haha! Twins! I've just been thinking about how much money i'm going to be saving too and I just used all our points on the Winnie the Pooh set for my wife's birthday present. So nice only paying $2.95 for it! :-D

I'm excited we are getting the Pixie's, but how could they miss the mark so bad? LEGO's Sand Blue colour is literally the same colour as the Cornish Pixies in the movies! And there's no indication in the film or book that they are translucent! Lol.

I think its her general look and demeanour that really make her stand out as a primary character even given her minimal screen time. I know she is the first character that ever comes to my mind when I think of who is missing.
-
I think at least Madame Pomfrey, Narcissa, Rita Skeeter and Kreacher are some big ones on peoples wish lists. And non emo Tonks.
-
I'd love to see what you've done if you ever get a chance to take a pic. My Hogwarts Moments have gone in a bag. I really didn't like them very much personally.
-
I agree. I've been contemplating purchasing the quidditch book ($20) and just a Ravenclaw Torso on Bricklink ($15 not including postage). So basically for $24, I should be getting everything I wanted plus more. So it's perfect. I've just been wanting to make a Quidditch Cho and Cedric as I don't really know anyone else on their teams to make figures of and I already have full Slytherin and Griffindor teams on my quidditch pitch! These are basically cheap army builders to make figures of whoever you want. So I don't know why people see so unhappy with the characters? Just change them. Like Hannah Abbott, the named her on the box, but it's just pieces from other figures you could make yourself. So it's not like they're making super exclusive figures anyway.

I already have two Madame Hooch's... Why do I still feel so excited about another one?

What is the book called? Looks cool. Love books that have open layouts like that.
